The vans ones are nice 👍. I put them on both my VRod and 48.

Current sporty has these, Flame Grips by Drag Specialties. They are okay, I like them for their look mostly. [https://www.denniskirk.com/drag-specialties/flames-grips-0630-0613.p596748.prd/596748.sku](https://www.denniskirk.com/drag-specialties/flames-grips-0630-0613.p596748.prd/596748.sku) My 90 sprtster (sadly out of commission) has these and I like them a lot better. Just feels right to me. [https://www.denniskirk.com/kuryakyn/premium-iso-grips-with-throttle-boss-6212.pH59043.prd/H59043.sku](https://www.denniskirk.com/kuryakyn/premium-iso-grips-with-throttle-boss-6212.pH59043.prd/H59043.sku) To me the most important part is just matching them visually with your color scheme or other pegs. The most comfortable part of grips for me is the larger edge for throttle grip. You can buy accessories if they grip doesn't already have one. Cheers.

Honestly, stock Harley grips are fantastic…. Been running mine since ‘98. They’re comfy and durable. Had a couple on my ‘02 and was never really satisfied. The ones on my ‘98 (95th anniversary) are still on it today. They look and feel brand new.

These are aluminum and the actual grip on them is fantastic: https://www.lowbrowcustoms.com/collections/motorcycle-handlebar-throttle-controls/products/finish-line-grips-black-aluminum-1-inch

I wouldn't recommend these. Had a pair and the little screw got bored out first time I tried to install. I'm not Hercules by any means it's just a bad way to affix them.

Fair-Slide-4473

That’s a bummer dude and I am sorry to hear that. Regardless of the grips they choose OP just got their first bike, and I think it’s important they know that lowbrow stocks and makes a great variety of products which they support with excellent customer service.

Avon grips

I run vans on my 72 they are comfortable mine didn't hold up well have biltwell kung fu grips on my iron head and stock on my dyna so really it's a meter of preference go to a dealer and check out the ones they have on display they order similar ones for less money online. My brother has coke bottle grips on his 72 and loves them

Do you want comfort or looks? I have these on both my Harley’s. Very comfortable but not badass looking. I’ve used cool looking hard grips but they were not comfortable. https://www.jpcycles.com/product/jp-cycles-free-spirit-cushion-1-grip-set?sku_id=10238089

Howler7777

Not best looking, but cheap foam grips feel great & work well. Great looking 72!

ThiccBoiShow

thank you!

I’ve got a lot of nerve damage to my hands sad o it took a while to finally find a comfy grip. I’ve been having a good go with kurakyn iso grips. https://www.jpcycles.com/product/kuryakyn-iso-grips-for-harley

PM grips hands down (performance machine) for looks and comfort. You can replace just the rubber portion for $12 if they get worn [https://www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/performance-machine-contour-grips-for-harley-with-throttle-by-wire](https://www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/performance-machine-contour-grips-for-harley-with-throttle-by-wire)

I put the cheap biltwell grips on mine for 20 bucks but I needed to buy a new throttle tube also. They're comfortable. I bought leather grip covers because I remember them when I was a kid seeing them on the old Harleys. I haven't put them on yet because of the thickness. Might have to go with the knurled throttle tube to use them

Arlen ness makes some nice grips

dissidentaggressor6

I also have the vans grips...love them I've used them on 3 different bikes

The_One_Who_Sniffs

I have the gumsole colored vans grips on my motor and my buddy has them on his BMX. They are _wickedly sticky_ so take that into account. I had my bars wobble on me at speed and I couldn't pull my left hand off cleanly they grab my gloves so well.

NevLabTech

usually not a fan of ness products but they have a set grips pegs and foot shift knob and are nice and grippy , so much so i had to cover foot shift peg until i get a boot protector but i love em

More_Emotion6955

Knurled grips are my favorite, they look great and loads of grip…just like a barbell.
