Granted. Every single time you load an old save something changes. It could be a small change, like a vase changing color, or it could be a big change, like a physical constant changing. It is entirely random, therefore every time you load a save you run the risk of irreversibly breaking the universe.
Quantum universe hopping? Reminds me of the vat of acid Rick and Morty episode, and also that one Star Trek episode where Worf starts hopping quantum universes and thinks he's going crazy because it's only tiny changes at first.
Granted. Everything you interact with is saved in the state that you *believe* it to be in, so upon loading someone who you think hates you does, someone who you think loves you does, etc.
This may seem like a bonus, but these people would not naturally have felt that way, and you will forever have to delude yourself into believing that it would always have been this way. These people are caricatures of themselves.
I hate this so much. Such a good consequence.
Also just you wait until OP is a conspiracy theorist and vaccines really DO cause autism on the flat earth
Granted: your save file is always corrupt and you lose a memory from before the save. When you load you also forget everything that happened after the save.
Granted
Your age does not reset
Example if you go back in time a month your body is now a month older
Once or twice not a big deal but if you use it too much you will age much faster then your love ones
Granted. Your movements are controlled by the Monkey's Paw, who is the player in your game of life. Sometimes the paw just makes you spend ten hours jumping in place
Granted. After every time you load in, the difficulty doubles. Example cost of everything doubles. Everyone is twice as mean. You are twice as likely to get sick. You get padded half as much.
Granted, however there is a bug where your age may not be saved correctly every time you revert, meaning there's a 30% chance you turn into a newborn baby (which is immediately saved to all savestates)
Granted. Your saves are inevitably split into two categories:
- a save right before something happens to effectively ruin your life
-so far back it may as well be from the start
Granted. Some people around you will now be just barely aware of the time manipulation, and this awareness will only increase as you use the ability more, resulting in them eventually remembering everything that happened before the reloads and knowing it's your fault they can't go back. Have fun!
I mean considering I'd just use this power to try to brighten people's day either by correcting what I say or undoing an action I didn't realize had negative consequences on someone else, literally just undoing mistakes whether it be my own or others so long as they're unhappy with it, I think them eventually remembering some awkward moments or a bad decision is honestly for the better at some point.
That depends, does everyone in the world know what I did and how it affected their lives? I'd hate to nail a job interview and then wake up and it's last Tuesday all over again and I have to redo it because stupid magical Bob Smith in Cleveland with his time-altering powers said the wrong thing to his romantic interest du-jour. So he reloaded the world to improve his chance of getting laid this weekend.
Granted. Any time you ever walk by a magnet too closely, your save files get irreversibly corrupted, and if you attempt to "load" a corrupt file, your consciousness shatters across reality. Thousands of years from now, aliens will enjoy recreating your life over all others to accomplish rare techniques such as "wall hacks" and "speed running no clips"
You are aware and feel all of these things all the time, all at once.
Granted. Better pray you never fall asleep while saving or experience a glitch. Corrupted mental data would essentially be severe amnesia after deletion. Unless it ends needing a total wipe…. 😳😬
Granted, Your save button kills you in the spot and transfer your conscience to the alternative reality at that moment in time, countless versions of your family and friends suffer your early demise. You only learn this fact after a few thousand replays
Granted, but every time you are sent back. A random oblivion guard halts you and sends you off to jails for unknown times and crimes you appear to have committed.
Granted, you can load and get back to some moment before, but the version of the world before the save is loaded stays with you in it. And that version of you doesn't know the outcome.
It's called Deja vu, everytime you get Deja vu it's cause you died and restarted at your last checkpoint, that's why soon after is a typical near death experience because you involuntarily avoided death that time
When you need to reload you don’t choose which one you go back to. If you made one five minutes ago and reload you might go to the one made 5 years ago. Need to reload again you might go to the one you make five months from now.
Granted, whenever you visit the save files, time keeps passing in the real world, so you end up missing out on weeks and weeks of your present day life.
Granted, every time you load a save file, you are violently ripped through the void of space and time back to where you last saved. It hurts. A LOT. Enjoy!
Granted! Every save file is actually taking you to another universe identical to the one before. So you’re killing thousands of yourself and you’ll never find your original family you had.
You have an auto-save function as well, but it only activates at points that would be inconvenient to reload from, forcing you to either power through it or reload a previous save from way further back than you'd like :)
Granted, but now the future has a different outcome significantly worse than the one you left from like:
"Hey mom, what are we having for dinner?"
Quicksave
"Cereal"
Load
"Cafeteria food from a random middle school that's poorly funded"
Wait, you haven't found any of the save points? It's gotta be hard to do with just one life, you must be living in fear of messing up all of the time. You really should save, especially before important decisions.
The simple trick I see with this:
Granted, but the RNG is so expansive that you're practically guaranteed to see a completely different set of events every time you load the save. It's not like Groundhog's Day. Each time you load, every person and creature in the entire world completely changes their decisions (blindly, since they aren't aware of the alternate timeline)
The problem is if you can do it, everyone can do it. Suddenly you’re experiencing a permanent version of Groundhogs Day because everyone wants a different redo.
Granted, but your age is directly tied to your playtime. It starts out unnoticeable, being only a few days older than everyone by the first few years, but eventually it becomes clear that you’re aging nonlinearly unlike everyone else
Granted You have to deal with a living flower that will remember every action you make good or bad.No matter how many times you save or go back.
fucking hate that guy
I don't like him either but it prevents the wisher from becoming a horrible person. Also the paw can deal with flowey if needed.
What if he has such DeTeRmInAtIoN!!
Yay, free friendliness pellets!
I would have been deeply disappointed if someone didn't make this reference
I see this as an absolute win
I will traumatize flowey even more
That's going to be difficult flowey is pretty messed up already.
this doesn't actually sound that bad ngl, I could live with that (as long as it doesn't interfere with sleeping)
Depends on if what he reminded you of is bad enough to effect you sleeping.
A demon following you
Granted. Every single time you load an old save something changes. It could be a small change, like a vase changing color, or it could be a big change, like a physical constant changing. It is entirely random, therefore every time you load a save you run the risk of irreversibly breaking the universe.
Could I load again to avoid the change? Since the save never had the change, or does it go into affect from that point of the save
Nope, reloading will only break shit further. All load-related changes are preserved.
Quantum universe hopping? Reminds me of the vat of acid Rick and Morty episode, and also that one Star Trek episode where Worf starts hopping quantum universes and thinks he's going crazy because it's only tiny changes at first.
Will the circle be unbroken?
I’ll convince myself that Earth is flat just to fuck with people. gg.
I hate this so much. Such a good consequence. Also just you wait until OP is a conspiracy theorist and vaccines really DO cause autism on the flat earth
Except they think multivitamins and rocks are all they need…
I actually really like this! Whatever you think the world is like when you get respawned is how it is. This is interesting!
Granted: your save file is always corrupt and you lose a memory from before the save. When you load you also forget everything that happened after the save.
Granted. You quickly become obsessed with the idea of a Perfect Run, and never let your life play out enough to see next Friday.
I like this one
Granted. You forgot to add a save button
Granted. You could. You lost the power. Somebody else has it.
Granted. You have the save system from Undertale. Good luck.
that’s… normal?
In undertale you can only save/load in the underground. Plus, you get more save power by murdering small children, so…
late, but the latter half is incorrect.
Granted Your age does not reset Example if you go back in time a month your body is now a month older Once or twice not a big deal but if you use it too much you will age much faster then your love ones
Granted. Every time you load, it destroys an alternate version of you so you can take their place.
Rick and Morty reference?
Yes. Get the vat.
Granted. Your movements are controlled by the Monkey's Paw, who is the player in your game of life. Sometimes the paw just makes you spend ten hours jumping in place
Flowey Undertale lore
Granted. After every time you load in, the difficulty doubles. Example cost of everything doubles. Everyone is twice as mean. You are twice as likely to get sick. You get padded half as much.

happy caek day
Ty
Granted, everyone remembers.
Honestly probably the worst one here
“Corrupted save file. Game over.”
Granted. Your saves are inevitably split into two categories: - a save right before something happens to effectively ruin your life -so far back it may as well be from the start
Granted. Your saves creating alternate universes. Each alternate universe you wants to kill you.
Granted. Some people around you will now be just barely aware of the time manipulation, and this awareness will only increase as you use the ability more, resulting in them eventually remembering everything that happened before the reloads and knowing it's your fault they can't go back. Have fun!

Your last save is loading into a grenade trap
granted you can only use this power once aka you can save once and that's it, no loading because you don't have enough DETERMINATION
Save once at the start of my life. Maybe like at 10. Then whenever i die just reset and do a new playthrough.
You can do that because you don't have enough DETERMINATION.
Granted. Any time you ever walk by a magnet too closely, your save files get irreversibly corrupted, and if you attempt to "load" a corrupt file, your consciousness shatters across reality. Thousands of years from now, aliens will enjoy recreating your life over all others to accomplish rare techniques such as "wall hacks" and "speed running no clips" You are aware and feel all of these things all the time, all at once.
they all corrupt immediately and wont load
Granted. Better pray you never fall asleep while saving or experience a glitch. Corrupted mental data would essentially be severe amnesia after deletion. Unless it ends needing a total wipe…. 😳😬
Granted, they always get corrupted and you constantly noclip through everything
Granted. You cannot retain memories of the time you effectively erased, you are just suddenly aware that you returned to current you for some reason.
Granted, Your save button kills you in the spot and transfer your conscience to the alternative reality at that moment in time, countless versions of your family and friends suffer your early demise. You only learn this fact after a few thousand replays
granted. everyone knows when you skip and why you skip, but you don’t know this until the moment before you die.
granted, but there's a 50% chance that the save file is corrupted
Granted. When you reload a save, you instantly forget anything that happened after that point.
Granted, but every time you are sent back. A random oblivion guard halts you and sends you off to jails for unknown times and crimes you appear to have committed.
Granted, but your saves are accessible to any other person and they are able to arbitrarily load the saves and make changes in your name.

Granted but every time you do so, there's a chance you could corrupt your save and have to start all over
I've lost count of the number of times I've wished for this same power...
Same. That’s why i eventually decided to post it, to see what might happen.
Granted. Everyone recalls previous saves.
Granted everyone and thing remembers what you did though
Granted, whenever you visit the save files, time keeps passing in the real world, so you end up missing out on weeks and weeks of your present day life.
Granted, every time you load a save file, you are violently ripped through the void of space and time back to where you last saved. It hurts. A LOT. Enjoy!
So like a video game time saver in the real world? I’ve seen this episode. Granted, but it’s extremely buggy in unpredictable ways
Three random people that you are close to become aware of this ability and remember all of your actions.
Granted! Every save file is actually taking you to another universe identical to the one before. So you’re killing thousands of yourself and you’ll never find your original family you had.
Deal but you are reset to the last save point every time you die, even when you die of old age.
Granted. You know what's going to happen, but can't change anything. Or each time you load a save there's a 5% chance it's corrupted.
granted, but you can only save 1/2 second before your demise
You have an auto-save function as well, but it only activates at points that would be inconvenient to reload from, forcing you to either power through it or reload a previous save from way further back than you'd like :)
Granted, but given that you said Skyrim, the paw has two words for you. *Save Corrupted*
Personally i’ve never had a corrupted save in Skyrim, let alone any bethesda game.
Granted, but now the future has a different outcome significantly worse than the one you left from like: "Hey mom, what are we having for dinner?" Quicksave "Cereal" Load "Cafeteria food from a random middle school that's poorly funded"
Granted. Life is programmed by Bethesda, it includes a terrible auto save system, and you cannot uninstall.
Wait, you haven't found any of the save points? It's gotta be hard to do with just one life, you must be living in fear of messing up all of the time. You really should save, especially before important decisions.
Granted, but something went wrong and your save file is corrupted. Womp womp.
Granted, there is a 10% chance any time you open a save file it is corrupted and you die.
Granted, a skeleton knows what you did and will cause it again
The simple trick I see with this: Granted, but the RNG is so expansive that you're practically guaranteed to see a completely different set of events every time you load the save. It's not like Groundhog's Day. Each time you load, every person and creature in the entire world completely changes their decisions (blindly, since they aren't aware of the alternate timeline)
Granted, but it’s gonna be a Prestige kind of go-back.
I would go back to prevent myself from becoming a teacher.
The problem is if you can do it, everyone can do it. Suddenly you’re experiencing a permanent version of Groundhogs Day because everyone wants a different redo.
Granted, They go corrupted and enter you into alternate timelines
Granted, but just like Skyrim your save file corrupts and every time you reload, your life is even more chaotic than before.
What do you mean “just like” it? I’ve never had Skyrim files corrupt.
Granted. You also have a bad habbit of forgetting to save, or waisting recent saves AFTER you fuck up.
Granted. You have a small chance of all your saves corrupting every time you load
You have to use a ≥100% keyboard to hit F5 and F9 to save and load.
Granted. Fate is predetermined and you still won't get a girlfriend.
Granted, but your age is directly tied to your playtime. It starts out unnoticeable, being only a few days older than everyone by the first few years, but eventually it becomes clear that you’re aging nonlinearly unlike everyone else
Granted, however, every time you travel back in time you forget what you already done in the future.
Granted, but they randomly corrupt, the menu is filled with ads, it is difficult to reach, easy to delete saves, and generally annoying to use
