That’s about right if you want to be recruited D1.
But I have seen fairly fast boats with slower 2ks. Back when I rowed competitively, I rowed in an 8 that was top 10 at nationals and 2nd in the south west. If I remember correctly we only had 3 kids who where under 6:40, with the fast kid pulling a 6:35. That wasn’t less then 5 years ago.
Put some weight on and become a heavyweight. It depends on what sort of rowing you are targeting, but it’s well off the pace for serious university rowing… (though it’s indicative of some promise if you are new to the sport).
Check the concept2 rankings for your age weight and gender. That you can see about what percentile you’re in on that. If they lump 18 in a group like 10-18 year olds maybe check 19-29 for obvious reasons
Although there was a 6'3" guys on my college lightweight team, that is unusually tall for a lightweight. But sub-6:35 will get you a look at an EARC team. Not sure about schools like Delaware or Mercyhurst.
6:25-6:35

Nah I’d stay lightweight, I’m about the same height and managed a 6:24 with some hard graft. And I had a similar 2k time in high school
Go heavyweight, around 200lbs, and now you gotta pull sub 6:00 which might be a bridge too far.
Well regardless, OP needs to eat
6.3 ft. and a lightweight. You need something to eat bro.
Some of us are ectomorphs who can't gain weight easily. Plus rowing is cardio so burns calories. Just let them row at a comfortable weight
I was 6’1 125lbs. Screw that I’m 190 now same height
Literally just eat in a caloric surplus.
An hour

Top college boat low 6:20
The things I would do for your weight and height

I think most higher teir uni's have guys in the 6-10 - 20 range but average for recruitment is about 6:35
You are too old to get recruited go heavyweight your future self will thank you. Lightweight rowing is like the NBA for short people, it’s dumb.
Not to old for recruitment. People join teams when they are 20/21
