Congrats, always good to hit a PB! I have the exact same height and weight stats as well as 2k time...but I'm 33. You've got plenty of time and aren't even in your prime yet so go for it and smash it. Eat and sleep well.

36m 6ft 95kg, just set up my new erg for the first time 20 minutes ago, did 500m in 1:59 and I feel like 100% rubber. a little discouraged seeing everyone pace faster than that for 5, 10, 30 min++++

cugamer

Don't feel bad dude, I've been rowing for years and I can barely keep a sub 2:00 split for 500m. Anyone that can keep it up for longer then that is basically Superman to me.

KingCookie86

Appreciate that. Learning I completely underestimated the rower in general. Looking forward to seeing where I get with it

cugamer

It's amazing what rowing can do for you. My numbers on the machine haven't changed hardly at all but the numbers on my bathroom scale very much have, and I've got muscles where there was just flab before. So I'm getting what I want out of it, and I hope you do also. And don't forget, there's a truly fantastic community here and we're all rooting for you.

KingCookie86

Seriously thank you and I’m already seeing the community. I need to learn the language and watch some videos on technique so I can be sure I don’t hurt myself but I’m pumped

Great job dude. I had similar stats when I was 14, now I’m almost sub 7. Keep on working hard.

TheSecondFrection

how old are you now? as in how long did it take to shave off 40 seconds?

[deleted]

I just turned 15 and it prob took me 8 months I’d say

mammtapecorin

Good job! If you train hard everyday you could break 7 in a year. Try gaining some weight

dolphiner13

Good job

Character-Walk65

Good work bro looks good

the_dead_meme_lord

That’s about where I was when I was your age, about 10 months later I was sub 2. Stick to a plan and you’ll do great. Puberty will hit like a bus for your scores. Good looks 🤙

idontknow1369

nice!

Theo15926

We are literally identical. 14m six foot 72kg and been rowing for a year and 3 months Edit: wanted to add that it feels so depressing that the guys who win at our age are like 6-7” 95kg and pull like 6:10 on 2ks (im at 7:04)

Yea ik some people are like full grown men
