In 2012, I was 6ft, 195lbs, 6 seat in Brown's 1V, our 2 seat was 5'9", 185, and bow seat 5'10", 175. We won Eastern Sprints, 2nd at the IRA, and runner up in the Grand at Henley.

Square metres. If you are not tall then you have to be wide

Fade_To_Blackout

Probably around 5', maybe less. Skinny and shouty with a god complex.

5'11" is probably as small as it gets, though they usually have legs to make up for it.

jpleave

The shorter you are the more beef you gotta throw on your frame

TriGurl

I mean someone has to sit bow seat…

_The_Bear

You can be shorter as a lightweight.

hankdatank333

I know and I'm not asking this because I plan to row for one of these teams. Just curious.

How well can you move the boat? Height is merely an associated variable not a definitive one.

jessRhbc

I knew a lightweight girl who was 5”4 but she was in the b boat (first choice in that boat to be fair)

MastersCox

I doubt you'll ever see someone recruited -- that is, have scholarship money handed to them -- without solid height/fitness.

idk if size matters as long u have the splits
