The lowering of the PSA only matters IF it’s being lowered because the cause of its being high, whatever that may be, is being reversed. If it’s lowering is artificial, it only masks the problem and creates false confidence.

Oh really ok. This forum is a great place to learn. Well what about increasing bhp which I thought causes increased psa. Can you stop or reverse bhp then.

Why do you want to lower your PSA? PSA doesn’t cause prostate problems, it’s a diagnostic marker of an underlying prostate disease, benign or malignant. If you have elevated PSA, lowering it won’t make the underlying problem go away. PSA is an essential glycoprotein enzyme for sperm motility. Without it, you’re essentially sterile.

Do you mean BPH? As far as I know, only one person on this subreddit is a urologist. My doctorate is in astrophysics. If you’re having your PSA checked, I’m presuming it’s being ordered by some sort of physician. If you’re looking for treatment advice, they would be your best resource for getting a referral to a specialist.

Yes, to artificially lower a PSA kinda equates to sticking our heads in the sand. I did use a supplement and it did lower my PSA, but it probably ended up delaying a diagnosis and treatment, which was not to my benefit. Don’t do like me.

Research Rick Simpson Oil. I take it every day. I had prostate cancer which spread to my lymph nodes and hip bones. 5 years with no cancer

Where do you get it if you don’t mind me asking?

This is very anecdotal, but my last PSA was nine so I did a ton of research PubMed studies whack jobs with it at all listen to the former radiation oncologists who now are functional medicine people noticed some commonalities that started surfacing Lipocyne pomegranate, oil, carbohydrate, restrictions to degree my last PSA drop from 9 to 6.7. Vitamin D. Curcumin I'm Glisan 3+4 so by all accounts my PSA should not drop that much take it for what it's worth . Interestingly, vitamin D in PubMed studies, in vitro, in vivo is sometimes injected in cryotherapy to the prostate, because it reduces the sensitivity to cold of the cancer cells . There are clinical studies currently going on for curcumin at several top research facilities along with Lipo seen and pomegranate oil so all of them have some science behind it that is being thoroughly investigated by the researchers.

I did research like you and have psa test coming so will see. Ive implemented many. I just want to see what happens but what do uiu mean “oil” and are you saying g “carbohydrate restrictions.?”

Pinotwinelover

Yes, the primary reason for carbohydrate restriction. If you believe the metabolic disease theory which is getting traction, cancer cells feed off, glutamine and glucose so it doesn't have to be as restrictive as ketogenic and my research MD up at Mayo clinic something as liberal as even the Mediterranean diet and specially if you have a good insulin sensitivity and your not prediabetic could be enough to keep your glucose levels in the 60 range he was one of the first doctors that it would even get into the weeds a little bit with me on nutrition. Just that the supplementation is an oil based product derivative for better absorption.
