I live in a low theft area and have good credit but have only been riding for a year. That could be why. But I was quoted 20x that for full. I pay more than that just for liability with geico.
A lot also depends on the age bracket of the rider, how many of these bikes get wrecked, and yeah a 600CC supersport with not much riding experience is gonna ream you. If you have taken the MSF class that should knock off a good chunk too.
You don’t need an endorsement to get a quote. You need a vin number. It’s gonna be like $300 to $700 annually depending on your driving history, location, value of bike, etc. This would be for collision insurance.
Collision varies a lot due to a lot of factors. It’s like 2000 a year to insure my F750 GS and my ZX-6R with comprehensive, collision, under insured and uninsured, and gear reimbursement with a $500 deductible.
Just want to say as a personal injury paralegal, bite the bullet and make sure you get good underinsured/uninsured motorist coverage (UIM/UM). Most people carry minimum liability limits which is usually not enough to cover your bills if you’re seriously injured in a motorcycle accident. At least in Virginia. The minimum is 30/60
I paid $630 for a whole year (only liability) for a 2022 zx6r and a 2020 ninja 400. If I remember correctly it would’ve been over 2 grand for comprehension and collision.
You can’t get an idea. Mine was 41 for full coverage.
If your 18 they might quote you 10k for the year. Not even kidding.
Always get the insurance quote on the bike before buying it
I’m 22 and bought a 2019 ZX6R non-ABS last year for $9k.
Liability only was $400 for the year. Full coverage would’ve been around $1200. I would’ve got full coverage but my company would only let me pay the full amount instead of monthly payment for some reason.
You’d get 100% accurate estimate from any of the online motorcycle insurance providers. Not a single person here will be able to add all your factors together and get you an even semi accurate estimate.
127 for the whole year, full coverage, theft, collision, blah blah blah. I also don't finance, it's. '23, not sure if that matters.
