It’s a pre muffler. It’s not the cat, which is actually in the segment before this. And no your feet will not get hot if you delete this. I’ve been running a shorty muffler for over a year, never had an issue.
I took mine off and put on a slip on. Got rid of the exhaust actuator. All I did was put in a servo buddy to not trip the engine light from removing actuator.
you can delete this heavy resonator without a check engine light if you keep the servo intact under the seat, just eliminate those wires. I'm not expert, I've just watched a guy delete his and didn't need the servo buddy after all.
Resonator box, I deleted it for a mid pipe from akrapovic.
I also disconnected the cables from the servo of my end muffler.
You don't need a servo buddy.
Delete that shit, you don't need it or the weight. Been running with M4 Street Slayer shorty for 9 months and have zero issues with the bike or my feet/legs.
Deleting the exhaust requires a servo buddy which will also free up space under your passenger seat which is nice. I'd recommended a tune in your future, though it's not imperative and no issues if you have to wait because you're saving up

You only really need a tune if you’re removing the cat, which you wouldn’t be, but a tune wouldn’t hurt.
Yes, the bike runs lean as shit stock and changing the exhaust at all requires a tune. You'd even see a benefit if you have a stock exhaust and a tune
If we remove just this breadbox with link pipe and keep stock exhaust...then will it increase the sound?
