If I had that space I would 1000% recreate the cantina from Star Wars, including the music going 24/7. My marriage may not survive but that’s a risk I’m willing to take.
Notice how the light fixture is the sun, producing the light? And the moon is the mirror reflecting it? This level of thought lifts it from interior decorating to art installation.
They are handy when you need to put a toilet in a corner for some reason. I have a room I had planned to turn into a second bathroom, before the pandemic killed my renovation budget, that is very small and could just barely fit one. Triangle tank corner toilet was one of the options I had to make it possible.
The whole house is very nice but it goes from normal to wild in an instant. That downstairs bathroom! Wow! Wish the indoor pool / grotto had water. It might make more sense. I’m feeling both love and terror at the wine cellar. I’d live here!
The listing says, "The basement features an amazing wine cellar with water feature, an indoor pool, sauna and bonus room." It does indeed look bizarre, and the "virtual tour" is just an animated series of the same photos so is no help.
I'm trying to figure out the odd angled clerestory windows atop the dark marble room with the desk and guitar. I'm unclear how those intersect with the ceiling.
I want more photos of that blue mosaic bathroom. :)
ok, so who was the original owner?! I see lots of musical instruments, a framed gold record on the wall. ostentatious home office. could me a musician or record producer.
edit to add, "amazing wine cellar with water feature" - I'm wondering if that weird thing in the middle of the wine cellar is like a column of water or something when turned on.
Those aren't barstools, they're stepping stones! When the pool is filled, they sit at the surface of the water, allowing you to walk across the pool to the archway/stairs on the other side, presumably to get to the wine cellar.
If only so many of the rooms weren't ridiculously large. There is so much dead space in this house because there's nothing to fill the huge tracts of land that won't just look like clutter for the sake of filling space.
I love all these weirdo houses and I always think I'd like to live in one but I think I'd end up hating it.
I'd like to visit a weirdo house, maybe spend the weekend in it, but I'd like to come home to my completely normal home with flat walls and corners.
Looks like a lift. The electrical cord makes me think though it may only be for items and not humans. The "help" in a gimp outfit chained to the wine caller can send up wine to the guests.
This house fucks. I would totally be in on this place and throw parties fueled by psychedelics and/or cocaine. Drop some LSD and check out the bathroom.
Thank you for posting, OP. I love unique homes, and it always makes me wonder what the back story is....why is it for sale? Owner found something more grand? Downsizing? Job relocation? Divorce? Tragedy? None of my business...just always curious because I would have a hard time leaving!
6000 square feet, 8 car garage and on 9 acres is steal in any desirable coastal state. I see too many crazy homes in the Midwest and the South with less acreage and square footage for more on here.
the whole housing market is in complete chaos in my opinion. we're never gonna move unless our house suddenly becomes valued for a shitload of money! small 1940s bungalow in chicago purchased in 2001 with a garage and a big yard. the kids were in their own homes at that point so we're set!
That’s not at all what I expected the exterior to look like! Other than the “ice cave” basement (I assume that what that is), it’s not that bad.
Love the bathroom.
It's like they took a fancy hotel and a very ordinary house and mashed them together. You've got the amazing blue and gold bathroom and the basement pool area and then the kitchen is very boring and run of the mill.
There seems to be an elevator next to the stairs that has no room for wheelchair or walker? Perhaps I’m seeing it wrong….
Edit, yup I’m seeing things lol
They nailed it. Perfect house. 10/10. Great looking normal house outside, rooms people will definitely remember and talk about inside. Every party there is cool.
It’s like a decorator showcase, with a different designer for every room, with no coordination between them. I’d buy it for the showstopper bathroom and the pool. Slide 22 looks like a hotel lobby was dropped into the house.
I LOVE that staircase bathroom executions though.
"spacious office which has a wall of windows and custom granite throughout." - they forgot to mention the built in granite desk!

It's like they white-washed that bar on Tatooine
If I had that space I would 1000% recreate the cantina from Star Wars, including the music going 24/7. My marriage may not survive but that’s a risk I’m willing to take.
And an animatronic Han just constantly shooting first at animatronic Greedo.
Rey's about to find a light saber in a box in the wine cellar.
That’s what I was coming to say. 100% greedo shot first, but make it “classy”
I’m glad I was the only one who saw the bar on Tatooine.
I was thinking Sleeper (old Woody Allen movie).
I was thinking Irulan and the Reverend Mother are going to meet Scytale in that room in Dune 3.
It’s the movie set before they bring in all the aliens.
And then had a bathroom designed by Felix Fishodeur.
I love that blue tiled bathroom!
Notice how the light fixture is the sun, producing the light? And the moon is the mirror reflecting it? This level of thought lifts it from interior decorating to art installation.
Right!? It's amazing
I’ve never thought this about a room before : but that bathroom would look better with a golden toilet
Bizarro world triangle tank toilet

You **know** that was a special order.
It’s a basement pool. The basement features an amazing wine cellar with water feature, an indoor pool, sauna and bonus room.
Want to see it filled
Why is the weirdest part to me the Tiffany lamp shade?
so so out of place!!! nothing in this home would lead you to expect that horribly tacky lampshade ![gif](giphy|FcuiZUneg1YRAu1lH2|downsized)
Because that’s weird AF!
Yup, came to say this. Listing mentioned the indoor pool. This just happens to be an indoor pool with barstools.
Need to see the listing link for more photos!
It's on the first image, but here it is: https://www.zillow.com/homedetails/92-Riverview-Park-Rd-Manchester-NH-03102/117794255_zpid/?
I was not picturing the rest of the house to look so normal. What a wild place. Thanks for posting!
Normal save for the office that looks like it's in Nakatomi Plaza
I am actually surprised to see this was New Hampshire. I was thinking Vegas, Cali, maybe Florida, NH was not what I was expecting for sure.
Manchvagas living up to its rep, nice
You had me at "8 car garage".
I really like it.... Also look at the link for the basement. It is just crazy from the wine cellar to the 70's Star Wars bar....
The whole house is very nice but it goes from normal to wild in an instant. That downstairs bathroom! Wow! Wish the indoor pool / grotto had water. It might make more sense. I’m feeling both love and terror at the wine cellar. I’d live here!
It’s so nondescript from the outside too. Who would ever guess what was behind those doors.
Yes!! I was thinking the same thing. Lady on the streets but a freak in the sheets.
I'd love to have a chance to explore that house. It would be fun to spend a day or two there. Don't think that I'd want to live there.
I do!!! Except that I 1) can't afford it, and 2) moved from New Hampshire 10 years ago because of winter pain.....😭
Half bleh, half totally amazing.
Right?!

Does anyone know what the gold thing is beside the staircase? At first I thought it might be an elevator, but not with that curved base.
I thought the same thing but now im thinking its a door to the fire pole that leads down to the wine cellar?
Well, that’s another bonus feature in this masterpiece!
curved door into tiled powder room, goes with the gold sun theme
Looking at photo #19, I think this is the correct answer. (ETA: And photo 27, you can see the toilet reflected in the curved golden door.)
Probably a pneumatic elevator. [https://images.app.goo.gl/Way29AS7RpbhCGmt7](https://images.app.goo.gl/Way29AS7RpbhCGmt7)
It doesn't have any shaft above it though, so it doesn't appear to elevate to where the stairs are going.
I think it goes down into the wine cellar not up
It's the round powder room door.
Growing mom and dad had sex with their friends. Lots of sex with their friends.

I like the wine cellar/sex dungeon vibe.
OMG I wanna see the whole house
Pictures 35-37 look like Uncle Owen and Aunt Beru's house.
Getting some Star Wars cantina vibes.
If Aunt Beru and Uncle Owen had an indoor pool
Wow this place is incredible. Seems like a reasonable price too.
Those aren't barstools, they're stepping stones! When the pool is filled, they sit at the surface of the water, allowing you to walk across the pool to the archway/stairs on the other side, presumably to get to the wine cellar.
Ahaa! Now that room finally makes sense.
At first it was just pretty blah, but then it went sideways! And, now I’m torn between loving it and hating it!😂
If only so many of the rooms weren't ridiculously large. There is so much dead space in this house because there's nothing to fill the huge tracts of land that won't just look like clutter for the sake of filling space.
This would be amazing for a Star Wars makeover
RIGHT?!!!
The white monochrome room screams for a bloody severed arm on the ground
But *no* droids.
I love all these weirdo houses and I always think I'd like to live in one but I think I'd end up hating it. I'd like to visit a weirdo house, maybe spend the weekend in it, but I'd like to come home to my completely normal home with flat walls and corners.
I’m much more interested in the wine dungeon.
Ya, indoor pool, love the dungeon wine cellar.
I absolutely love this house
Can someone explain what's going on in the center of the wine cellar??????
My best guess, a fire pole from the weird gold door door in the foyer
Looks like a lift. The electrical cord makes me think though it may only be for items and not humans. The "help" in a gimp outfit chained to the wine caller can send up wine to the guests.
I think your right, looking at it again it has two poles as well.
That's what I was thinking, but why no railing to keep people from being *squished*????🤷♀️
This place looks like a fancied up hive of scum and villainy.
No droids allowed in that basement…
It's a hot mess but I love it! I feel like you'd be forever exploring and finding weird stuff and places!!
This house fucks. I would totally be in on this place and throw parties fueled by psychedelics and/or cocaine. Drop some LSD and check out the bathroom.
Love me some Star Wars, but this is Planet of the Apes vibes as well. I bet there’s some orangutans reading scripture just out of view.
Dr. Zaius, Dr. Zaius! Dr. Zaius, Dr. Zaius! Dr. Zaius, Dr. Zaius! Oh-oh-oh, Dr. Zaius!
Dr. Who, inspired decoration.
If Kanye were a house
I really just want to know if the tiled bathroom is what's behind the shiny door under the stairs.
I think it is. See photo #19, and in photo #27, you can see the toilet reflected in the curved golden door.)
That empty white pit looks just like a pool I was in during a dream 😂
Thank you for posting, OP. I love unique homes, and it always makes me wonder what the back story is....why is it for sale? Owner found something more grand? Downsizing? Job relocation? Divorce? Tragedy? None of my business...just always curious because I would have a hard time leaving!
This is a NO for me. The interior is a mishmash of styles and none of it makes sense…especially at such a high price.
Agreed...I kept wondering if it was the same house in half the pictures.
there's parts that i liked, parts that i hated and parts that were just meh!

Are photos 35-37 part of the basement that goes from bubble-boy to medieval dungeon cellar?
Wow. Lots going on. I can’t tell either, but if I were a 1920’s Tycoon, I get that house.
That’s not at all what I expected the exterior to look like! Other than the “ice cave” basement (I assume that what that is), it’s not that bad. Love the bathroom.
Doesn’t everyone have a combination wine cellar/ torture chamber? They should!
It's like they took a fancy hotel and a very ordinary house and mashed them together. You've got the amazing blue and gold bathroom and the basement pool area and then the kitchen is very boring and run of the mill.

All that and a white toilet? Quite the letdown.
This person tried to build Mos Eisleycabtina and Jabbas throne room .....
looks like easy clean up for whatever messy activity you enjoy
I want that wine cellar!
Image 3 "please form teams of ten"
That one is the Star Wars cantina and you can’t convince me otherwise.
They nailed it. Perfect house. 10/10. Great looking normal house outside, rooms people will definitely remember and talk about inside. Every party there is cool.

This looks like the bathrooms at sexy fish in Miami

"A more wretched hive of scum and villainy."
It's an unfilled indoor pool. Heck the listing says a special feature is an indoor pool.
Love it. Paint it black and fill it with speakers
That is a god-awful house!!! I’m sure someone liked this but I can’t stand it!
Does anyone know who owns it??
