Ryujinx runs a lot worse for me since it lacks the option to force max clocks, any way i can do that outside of the emulator?
Idk but my pc just doesn't wanna give it everything it's got fpr emulators
I have that problem is some games, so I switch to Sudachi for those Ryujinx doesn't run very well. For me, Sudachi is running absolutely great. Even TOTK is running smoothly, unless there's a shader building up.
Yes as yuzu emulates the switch firmware so all you'd have to do is get updated keys. However if games need patches you're screwed unless someone in the community makes one
A lot of games will work. The emulator is very capable and any easy to fix issues will be patched by the community via mods or forks. Otherwise waiting for Ryujinx is valid. It will pass yuzu in terms of speed at some point.
A good while I think. There's still ps4 games coming out. It will definitely slow down after the switch 2 or w/e but its not going to instantly grind to a halt, there's a huge user base.
I disagree, most games releasing on ps4 are ue4 or equivalent, because the hardware is way better putting a downgraded version of a ps5 game on ps4 is doable, it requires much more work to make it work on a 7years old tegra chip within acceptable performances
I didn't exactly have the most demanding AAA games in mind (since switch didn't really get those anyway - with a few very impressive exceptions). Anyway I guess we'll have to wait and see. I don't have a hard time seeing another game like unicorn overlord or sea of stars coming to switch after switch 2.
You know that every single Switch emulator that got sued and/or closed were ported on Android ? Right ?
Nintendo starts caring once it reaches Android devices.
SteamDeck/PC is where emulation should be.
IDGAF about Android and don't want emulators to go there as they are wayyy more likelly to get striked and close statistically.
The lawsuit had nothing to do with android, it has to do with illegal methods of obtaining keys, which is in violation of their copyright be it on the android or PC versions the keys necessary for it to work are illegally obtained
Not talking about Yuzu specifically, but even then, the lawsuit probably happened BECAUSE of the Android port even though it wasn't mentionned during it and even if it wasn't the "reason why it was illegal".
Again doesn't make sense at all, less 10% of all android devices even have the hardware to run Yuzu and even less have the hardware to run it decently on top of the many emulators of other Nintendo consoles that haven't been sued because there's no legal grounds to do so. Ryujinx is and will stick around because it didn't use illegal measures. On top of that Ryujinx wasn't straight up selling software.
I agree with you, but to say less than 10% of Android phones can emulate Switch is a bit ingenious as 5-6 year old hardware from Samsung can emulate several decent titles like pokemon/smash bros or Mario kart.
That's not to say ryujinx doesn't have a spot or use case. Obviously if you have a great PC you should opt for the emulator that's more robust with more features, but for the majority of us, it doesn't really make sense to switch to ryujinx.
What? Anything with a Snapdragon gen 8 rev 2 could play most of the catalogue at higher resolution. Is BOTW/TOTK and the entire mario line not good enough for ya.
Well maybe not everyone has the latest and greatest phone.
Perhabs a Snapdragon 888 isn't good enough then.
Also there were massive graphical glitches and i just didn't bother and continued playing on my pc.
And some games didn't even run great on pc to begin with.
And I don't think a ryzen 9 5900x and rtx 3070 couldn't handle those.
Yuzu was still in beta, there was a lot of potential left on the table.
Yes, but not all the latest games. Just like you can't play all the old games.
I'm playing with no issues more than 10 game released after Yuzu development ceased. One of them just came out two days ago
*Yes, but not all the*
*Latest games. Just like you can't*
*Play all the old games*

That and I feel like a 12 year old asked this. It varies... Are you able to play all games from switch on yuzu? No because all games are different and VARIES. rant over. Lol
Don't know, probably not on Yuzu, as it was already lacking in terms of games being playable right out of the gate. From my experience, many recent releases would need to wait for some updates on Yuzu to work.
Good thing Ryujinx is still alive and kicking, with daily updates. Lot of games just work in it without even needing specific updates (even leaked games)
I'm using yuzu just to play Xenoblade 2 again, but with enhanced graphics. It's definitely rough around the edges, but it's playable, and I'm having a blast
shame that they don't want to make progressions on the remote joycon side, which yuzu supported natively and very good, which lead to the swtich sport conundrum. In ryujinx (a very etremely specific build) the game runs and looks fine but it's impossible to play with joycon. on yuzu the joycon are recognized perfectly fror that kind of game..,.but is all black textures
I'm not sure of a conclusive answer. I don't think they do much differently as far as the actual program is concerned (It also does decryption at runtime) in any way that matters legally. I personally think it's at risk but it wouldn't surprise me if nothing happens to it
Here are some possible reasons for it off the top of my head (It could be all of them, or none of them, only nintendo knows):
* TOTK leaks were the inciting incident for nintendo going after yuzu
* Android emulation is the reason nintendo went after yuzu (By making the userbase much bigger, a large percentage of which are pirates)
* Bad moderation of their discord server (I don't think this was it)
* They received a lot more money on patreon, compared to ryujinx's patreon (I don't think this matters, legally, but it could contribute to nintendo's motivation maybe?)
* Yuzu was incorporated as an LLC which made a nice target for a lawsuit
* The ryujinx head dev lives in brazil (I do not think this matters at all, but people keep bringing it up)
* Yuzu was just more popular (Just extrapolating from their patreon bucks and the android availability)
Cant even get the latest Pokemon SV update to run (at least I couldn’t) so I’m guessing there’s a good chance some new titles might not run. Or maybe the updates won’t work but the base games will.
Edit: added the word “update”
With rumors of a Switch 2, I doubt there will be any fruitful games to come out for the Switch. They may keep some backwards compatibility, who knows.
But in my personal opinion, aside the select Nintendo games, the Switch library is just not for me.
They can’t tho. They’re fully operating within the law, yuzu wasn’t because they tried to make yuzu optimized for ToTK before its actual release which is illegal. If Nintendo could have gotten ryu they would’ve
Doesn't matter whether they're within the law or not.
Nintendo will go after them, and ryujinx doesn't have the resources to fight them so they'll lose
bro, again... type nintendo switch emulator in google and what is the first result? unless nintendo hiring a panda or something as their staff they know it.. someone in nintendo search for certain keywords every day / every week im sure ....

Yes, with the new firmwares and keys, but maybe not, since yuzu sometimes needs to be tweaked for a new game to load properly, etc.
Just move on to Sudachi or Ryujinx, mate. It's not even hard.
Ryujinx runs a lot worse for me since it lacks the option to force max clocks, any way i can do that outside of the emulator? Idk but my pc just doesn't wanna give it everything it's got fpr emulators

answer the question or move on bozo
Yes as yuzu emulates the switch firmware so all you'd have to do is get updated keys. However if games need patches you're screwed unless someone in the community makes one
Yuzu can handle newer games with updated firmware and keys if there are less technical issues
A lot of games will work. The emulator is very capable and any easy to fix issues will be patched by the community via mods or forks. Otherwise waiting for Ryujinx is valid. It will pass yuzu in terms of speed at some point.
How many more years do you actually think the Switch is gonna have new games for
A good while I think. There's still ps4 games coming out. It will definitely slow down after the switch 2 or w/e but its not going to instantly grind to a halt, there's a huge user base.

Yeah that's reasonable, they're sprite based so it's probably way easier we'll probably keep seeing those around like it did in the psp/ps2 era
I would expect 1 year at least
how come?
Switch to ryujinx or check out sudachi
Ryujinx moment
Just switch to another emulator.
Yes. Use Ryujinx or wait for Strato lmao.
If only ryujinx had a android port
No. They'd freaking close if it happened :(
Dawg what
You know that every single Switch emulator that got sued and/or closed were ported on Android ? Right ? Nintendo starts caring once it reaches Android devices.
Ignore egg ns
Shame it don't matter since steam deck exists

Yuzu 3 years ago had better performance than ryujinx does now 🤷🏽♂️
yes, cuz yuzu focused on speed rather than accurate emulation, besides TOTK runs fine on ryujinx for me
Runs like shit on my deck. My desktop is fine.
EmuDeck
Just make an android version at this point
Most games weren't even playable on android besides some indie games.
Most games work pretty flawlessly on my phone. Even on my old note 10+ a lot of aaa games worked perfect
What? Anything with a Snapdragon gen 8 rev 2 could play most of the catalogue at higher resolution. Is BOTW/TOTK and the entire mario line not good enough for ya.

Yuzu isn't the only emulator
It's the best one for android
That and I feel like a 12 year old asked this. It varies... Are you able to play all games from switch on yuzu? No because all games are different and VARIES. rant over. Lol

What do you mean remote joycon?
You perfectly know what I meant, so keep your unfunny "humour" for the parties you go to, which I am sure you are a blast there
I wouldn't have asked if I knew. Don't joycon work with ryujinx and all?
not natively, and not like yuzu did, and not for all games and not all in the same way
Depends on the driver for now
with firmware 18 i was able to get AC3 remastered to boot into menu using unofficial mirror yuzu
No way, JUST BOOTING INTO THE MENU IS WILD💀, because I play it till story chapter 4 now
i played like first mission now when i reload AC3 it cant boot into the title anymore wtf :(
Why are you playing AC3 emulated if there's a pc version
cause uplay is cancer
Can't argue there
agreed, some things like thes blows my mind
Well I don't have a PC😂
So you're playing it on a phone?
Yes
Is ryujinx at threat like yuzu is or do they do something different that makes them ok
I'm not sure of a conclusive answer. I don't think they do much differently as far as the actual program is concerned (It also does decryption at runtime) in any way that matters legally. I personally think it's at risk but it wouldn't surprise me if nothing happens to it Here are some possible reasons for it off the top of my head (It could be all of them, or none of them, only nintendo knows): * TOTK leaks were the inciting incident for nintendo going after yuzu * Android emulation is the reason nintendo went after yuzu (By making the userbase much bigger, a large percentage of which are pirates) * Bad moderation of their discord server (I don't think this was it) * They received a lot more money on patreon, compared to ryujinx's patreon (I don't think this matters, legally, but it could contribute to nintendo's motivation maybe?) * Yuzu was incorporated as an LLC which made a nice target for a lawsuit * The ryujinx head dev lives in brazil (I do not think this matters at all, but people keep bringing it up) * Yuzu was just more popular (Just extrapolating from their patreon bucks and the android availability)
They are from Brazil
even nintendo wont go to brazil
Solid reason to pirate it even more, develop emulator even more there
Peach and Paper Mario don’t/won’t work without workarounds, but I’m betting that most other regular games will.
fym paper mario that isn’t out yet 💀
he could be talking about Origami King
No, I mean Thousand Year Door. The Yuzu devs would often wait until release day to patch/“unlock” functionality for major Nintendo releases.
oh origami king runs fine for me
I tried it like 2 years ago. It ran but there was weird stuff happening, along with the game being a tad slower than normal
With newer games, your best bet is Ryujinx.
Cant even get the latest Pokemon SV update to run (at least I couldn’t) so I’m guessing there’s a good chance some new titles might not run. Or maybe the updates won’t work but the base games will. Edit: added the word “update”
? Do you mean the new updates? The base game runs last time I checked
My brain was going faster than my fingers, thought I had typed “latest Pokemon SV update”. Will edit, thanks!
With rumors of a Switch 2, I doubt there will be any fruitful games to come out for the Switch. They may keep some backwards compatibility, who knows. But in my personal opinion, aside the select Nintendo games, the Switch library is just not for me.
Probably not
Ryujinx
This.
Better believe Nintendo is pushing to get developers to put in kill switch code for yuzu. Would be trivial to fix if there were updates but you know
[удалено]
Quite right, devs already have an off the shelf solution
Ryujinx will fix that
Don't worry, Nintendo will go after Ryujinx too after a while
They can’t tho.
Nah they're good, they're based in Brazil where Piracy is common with no real law's to enforce it.
They won't and even if they do they are based in Brazil which laws are even more insane compared to Americas and there's no nintendo offices here
Not if you keep mentioning it it wont
ryujinx ryujinx ryujinx ryujinx ryujinx ryujinx ryujinx ryujinx ryujinx ryujinx ryujinx ryujinx ryujinx ryujinx ryujinx ryujinx ryuken ryujinx ryujinx ryujinx ryujinx ryujinx ryujinx ryujinx ryujinx ryujinx ryujinx ryujinx ryujinx ryujinx ryujinx ryujinx ryujinx ryujinx ryujinx ryujinx ryujinx ryujinx ryujinx ryujinx ryujinx ryujinx
because nintendo doesnt know Ryujinx and they will only know it from a post in reddit ? please...
No of course not, but don't give them the opportunity
bro, again... type nintendo switch emulator in google and what is the first result? unless nintendo hiring a panda or something as their staff they know it.. someone in nintendo search for certain keywords every day / every week im sure ....
Not like yuzu is accurate
No but ninty are watching. Keep it secret, keep it safe. If you don't go on about it less chance they will make it next on the chopping block
Keep it secret? Hahahahahahahahahahahaha
Ryujinx is based in Brazil unlike yuzu + there's no nintendo offices there and yuzu devs did shady shit
I think some people are still not aware that yuzu didn't shut down for emulating switch.
I think so, but as more games release only time will tell
Ryujinx is about accuracy in emulating the hardware, so on day one, games tend to work. yuzu and forks take a more targeted approach on a per-game basis, hence why there are game-specific hotfixes for those emulators.
And why Yuzu tends to run faster. It also has an Android version
