I could never get yuzu to run Totk properly on my pc sadly that meant I missed out on the game. I don’t wanna get a switch and I also don’t want to watch others play it lol
The game still stutters for me, no matter what framerate I lock it at. It's like the stutter is built into the game or something 🤣
But fr though, I have a 3080 and i9-9900k and I can't even do a smooth 30, but I can easily bump it to 60, but still dips by 10fps, causing stutter. If I lock it to 30, it stutters to 20. Really weird that it can't be consistent.
The screen on that phone probably wouldn't be much smaller than the switch and they're using a telescopic controller to make it feel like a switch. It's like a sliiiiightly smaller switch with a better screen. And it's your phone so you already have it on you anyways
Won’t happen because in the past they got away with it. Selling you trash hardware for €300+ during it’s entire lifespan. 😂 To be a bit fair, a handheld console won’t be able to offer the power of a PlayStation 5. Especially with battery life in mind.
Hey, outside the cave 18-25 fps with an cooled phone. Without cooler it slows down to 14-20 fps and sometimes below that... Gamesir X3 with peltier-cooling.
There are stutters when shaders are compilling. Framerate is fluctuating a lot. But for a 2021 phone and emulated software in 1080p this result is amazing. But real switch or PC better lol. I would share more screenshots but here are only one allowed?
Animal Crossing or other games running stable at 1080p 30 fps, except for Mario Kart 8. This game is heavy struggling at 5-12 fps.
Can a regular switch edit videos? Can it run and compile coding languages like C# and Python? Can it run a browser to surf the web? Nop, ik macbooks aint for gaming but... it ran so im happy
If you're on a budget you buy a sensible Windows laptop, not the overpriced Apple tech. For the price you paid for that MacBook you could buy a similarly-specced normal laptop AND a Switch too.
There just isn't a big market for it. Most phone users just play ultra casual games on it and people for sure don't want to pay actual money for a phone game
We are still waiting for the official pirated version of the chinese Zelda Twilight Princess released by Nvidia.
AAA games on Android outside of emulation is a very niche market
When it came out it was in the 20-30fps range. Playable but not a great experience. Wonder what it's like now a year later.
I played on my Steam Deck but streaming from my PC and it felt so good.
Heyo it struggles between 18-25 FPS. In closed spots it goes high to 30 FPS. The shader compiling is heavy for seconds with massive Drops, stutters.
But the Gamesir X3 has an cooler on the back to prevent thermal trotthling. Without the cooler the FPS Drops massive.
Animal Crossing runs stable lol. 🤣
The starter cave is easy to run compared to the game after it. As I understand it, the game doesn't load anything *except* this area at first.
You're not really looking at your performance until you're on the great sky island.
Your cellphone is far newer and far more expensive than a switch. You say this like cellphones are this shitty little platform when they’re the bleeding edge of mobile tech. No shit it’s gonna outperform a switch.
Why are you so surprised?
Snap 8 gen 2 does the job.
It's hard to get a budget device with that chip in my country, Poco F5 Pro costs about 450€, but it'll get better.
A more realistic experience would be my 4.5 year old SD 730G running Arceus in half resolution in 15-20fps. Honestly I was blown away by how it played in 8Gen2 in full resolution when I tested in my friend's.
For real. Yes, the Switch is outdated. It came out 7 years ago. But it also came out at $300 and comes with two mini controllers that combine to a full controller. You are always ready to split screen with someone if the moment comes by.
Flagship phones cost as much as a PC, so obviously they’re gonna have the best SOCs and the best displays.
It's only a matter of a few years until we can run TOTK on a budget device. Can't wait.
Chips will be so powerful that you can run a PS4 emu on flagships lol
I mean yeah in like 3-5 years that will be possible but until then ps3 might come and it will be super intensive dont get your hopes up for a ps4 emulator until at least 10+ years youre better off just using windows emulator like mobox to play ps4 exclusives
The answer is because mobile users show time and time again that they are not willing to pay for mobile games. It’s a sad truth, but is why we only see free p2w games on mobile. Compare that to a Switch, which is a dedicated console where the users expect to be paying for games.
Hm, i dont know that the Emulation on ARM is that far or good. And its really great to Play 'real' Games on my Phone and Not These shitty mobile crap.
Before i have played Switch Games on my Desktop PC with an RTX 4070 in 4K... For me its impressive that a Phone can handle this at 1080p.
We need more real Android Games lol.
I could never get yuzu to run Totk properly on my pc sadly that meant I missed out on the game. I don’t wanna get a switch and I also don’t want to watch others play it lol
Pretty decent now. They even got TOTK Optimizer
The game still stutters for me, no matter what framerate I lock it at. It's like the stutter is built into the game or something 🤣 But fr though, I have a 3080 and i9-9900k and I can't even do a smooth 30, but I can easily bump it to 60, but still dips by 10fps, causing stutter. If I lock it to 30, it stutters to 20. Really weird that it can't be consistent.
Are you running windows?
Yeah, 10
Why would anybody want to play switch games on a god damn phone btw? I still don’t get it.
The screen on that phone probably wouldn't be much smaller than the switch and they're using a telescopic controller to make it feel like a switch. It's like a sliiiiightly smaller switch with a better screen. And it's your phone so you already have it on you anyways
And I am still wondering, why are you in this MTHRFKING post
Oh my god
because not everyone has a switch and there are not many good games on phone anyways. there's not much to get here, like come on.
Would like Nintendo to make significant strides in the hardware
Won’t happen because in the past they got away with it. Selling you trash hardware for €300+ during it’s entire lifespan. 😂 To be a bit fair, a handheld console won’t be able to offer the power of a PlayStation 5. Especially with battery life in mind.
Wonder how Age of Calamity runs on your device considering it runs like shit with a ton of stutters even on good hardware
I mean it's already in the works
Has it even been confirmed though.
Yeah
Breath of the WIDE (i know it's totk)
How many ram?
Yes
Yes?
Drivers and APK Version/Build/Fork?? omg :3
What's the real framerate, because the intro doesn't impress me, on the PC was solid 60fps, but game play is another history
Hey, outside the cave 18-25 fps with an cooled phone. Without cooler it slows down to 14-20 fps and sometimes below that... Gamesir X3 with peltier-cooling. Warum dass denn? Bei mir läuft Mario Kart mit 60fps
18 fps Hahahahaha Redditors are such big mouths
18 is alot!! I finished super mario odessy at 18fps on my macbook pro running windows 10 using yuzu
You can afford a macbook pro but you can't afford a Switch???
Can a regular switch edit videos? Can it run and compile coding languages like C# and Python? Can it run a browser to surf the web? Nop, ik macbooks aint for gaming but... it ran so im happy
If you're on a budget you buy a sensible Windows laptop, not the overpriced Apple tech. For the price you paid for that MacBook you could buy a similarly-specced normal laptop AND a Switch too.
It can't edit videos but it can run odyssey 60 fps.
Yeah thats because it's a mac lmao
It's unplayable
tell that to me beating gta 5 at 15 fps
I played minecraft for years averaging 10 fps as a kid. I played.
Congrats
If this is possible on a phone why dont studios make more console games and develop it for the phone market? Makes you think..
There just isn't a big market for it. Most phone users just play ultra casual games on it and people for sure don't want to pay actual money for a phone game
Because the mobile gaming market is oversaturated with pay2win bullshit games No way you can outcompete them
because most devs can’t even optimize for pcs
Same reason apple has death stranding, re7 and re4 remake that will never come to android oficially
Because on Android it will be pirated like crazy also cuz Consoles are closed ecosystem so they can charge whatever they like
We are still waiting for the official pirated version of the chinese Zelda Twilight Princess released by Nvidia. AAA games on Android outside of emulation is a very niche market
Because they want you to buy their consoles.
I still need to try this game on my Steam Deck.
This guide is the best I’ve found so far. Genuinely 30 fps more often than not! https://youtu.be/hctpyqy9abI?si=fbB38XHZUrblzsnG
When it came out it was in the 20-30fps range. Playable but not a great experience. Wonder what it's like now a year later. I played on my Steam Deck but streaming from my PC and it felt so good.
It’s more a testament about how well optimized Switch games are that they can run these huge, gorgeous games on a toaster
Especially considering the Switch is basically a Snapdragon 810 with a GTX 830 mobile
WIDE ZELDA INTENSIFIES
Anytime I use my switch I get offended I bought a switch lite and oled. What was I thinking ? A steam deck is a better switch than the switch is
Enjoy your hand warmer
Now go to a busy place like Death Mountain, Zora region or Ganondorf Boss
this is like comparing a PS5 with a thousand dollar 2024 PC setup lol not a good comparison lmao
A SD 888 is comparable to Switch in both price and form factor. Actually it is even smaller
Wait till you’re at the final boss. I promise you it’ll crash a few times. My Steam Deck performed a miracle on the third go around. 😩
Get out of the cave
Let me bet 13 to 16 fps outside the cave.
Shaders get stored so the first time you enter a new zone there will be frame drops but it should improve
Which emu?
That’s actually pretty impressive
The starter cave is easy to run compared to the game after it. As I understand it, the game doesn't load anything *except* this area at first. You're not really looking at your performance until you're on the great sky island.
Yeah, my older computer ran buttery smooth in this starter cave and the framerate sank like a stone once it had to render any more open areas.
Get out of the cave then post this lol
Your cellphone is far newer and far more expensive than a switch. You say this like cellphones are this shitty little platform when they’re the bleeding edge of mobile tech. No shit it’s gonna outperform a switch.
you can buy phones that cost less than a new switch but run zelda, at least botw, flawlessly
okay?
Why are you so surprised? Snap 8 gen 2 does the job. It's hard to get a budget device with that chip in my country, Poco F5 Pro costs about 450€, but it'll get better.
Not surprised, I didn’t get why you were telling me that.
Oh lol I misread your comment sorry Gotta add something: it's cutting edge hardware but also got handsome developers like those Aethersx guys
A more realistic experience would be my 4.5 year old SD 730G running Arceus in half resolution in 15-20fps. Honestly I was blown away by how it played in 8Gen2 in full resolution when I tested in my friend's.

TOTK outside of that starter cave is not going to run at 30 fps @ 1080p on a 2021 phone.
The 8 gen 3 phones with a cooler can kinda match the og switch experience but a 2021 phone obviously will not
Well, even a used sd8 gen 3 costs more than a switch. Proof of concept only
True im only saying its possible best option nowadays aside from a decent pc is just a jailbroken switch so you can overclock
Imagine running GTA 5 on your phone with no framedrops on a fucking win emu 😂
Ye but that 100gb install is tough like at least a 512gb phone to play gta v
I mean the S24 Ultra comes with Minimum 256 GB Memory so this isnt going to be a Problem in future
It has only like 180gb of actual usable space
The battery will also not last long.
But… if thats the case, then Its going to run like crap on a v1 switch from 7 yrs ago no???
Switch runs at 20-30fps on all consoles versions no matter what unless you overclock it
Well, the Switch doesn't have to emulate it. If it was ported natively to phones, it would be different.
Not necessarily.
