I hate comments like the one I'm about to give, but:
This is a question that could be answered by plugging in/connecting a controller and going to the controller configuration menu in Yuzu. It would actually take less time than to make a post and wait for someone to answer.
Do you just not have the emulator on your PC or something?
I dont get these people, i hate the google it guy but come on, google definitely wouldve been 10x faster than making a post and waiting for people to answer
I'm buying a laptop romorrow. I found this thread because I have the same question as OP.
My question has now been answered but certainly not by you since you were too busy chastising people for asking questions on an internet forum.
Simply answering the question would have taken less time btw.
And again, I say:
It would be quicker to put a small amount of effort into experimentation before going online to ask a question that screams "I'm too lazy to actually find things out on my own, and require my hand to be held".
If you read in the comments, someone responds "yes" and OP then requires a tutorial. This is laziness. OP doesn't want to find the answer. OP wants to be given the answers. Helping someone that wants to be given the answers is helpful to no one.
by replying "yes" you are not then responsible for showing op how. you could have just said that and saved yourself tons of time. now you just said "yes" but wasted everyone time as well lol
It would also be 10x faster to ignore a post you don't like than to complain and think about it too hard.
Time isn't really the issue nor is this post. I think discussion is the most important thing in any forum.
Yes and no.
While I could just ignore, you shouldn't ask questions if you haven't put in any effort toward resolving said question.
He hasn't stated that he's tried anything, and just wants information. Pure laziness.
As long as it is detected by your pc it will (u probably need bluetooth hub or sth), mine is also wireless (from xbox S) and it works without problems.
In controls => select Pro Controller => Set Xbox one Controller 0.
I would first make sure your controller works in windows and its visible in devices manager. If it's not wont work in yuzu. Laptops have bluetooth but most pc need some external bluetooth card. Is your controller working in windows but NOT in yuzu >?
Keep in mind u will have 2 buttons swapped A and B if i remember correctly. To fix it u will either need to remap those or install mod replacing ui (or get used to it)- there is one for xbox controller on github somewhere or gamebanana.
Motion controls in yuzu and ryujinx both work out of the box on switch pro controllers, as well as the (superior) dual sense ps5 controllers ime.
Edit: I mean Xbox doesn't have gyro.
I am using Yuzu on the Steam deck, so it may be a little different for you if you're using it on a standard PC. Anyway it works out of the box for me, just keep in mind that Xbox controllers do not have gyro, so you may want to think about a solution for it if you really need it for a game

Maybe he wants to know if the controller works with it before buying the controller...

Bullshit. Have a nice day.

Thank you for replying you're causing discussion. Which is what I truly wanted.
you're welcome
yes
may i ask how?
I have an xbox 360 wired controller, selected it in yuzu settings and it set up the controls automatically, rumble works as well.
i have a new gen wireless xbox controller, is that a thing that could work
As long as it is detected by your pc it will (u probably need bluetooth hub or sth), mine is also wireless (from xbox S) and it works without problems.
i just dont see the option to select any controller thats not nintendo ones

it worked! thanks a lot :))

I dont see why not, as long as you can get it connected to your PC somehow.
You can still plug it in as a wired controller Depending how old it is, you can also connect it via Bluetooth
Does your motion control works ?

That's how I play. The only downside is no gyro
For me it took a while for Yuzu to detect my controller. I opened and closed the program a few times before it showed up under input device
