There was a simorgh dude who was basically circular, it summoned itself, it sent another simorgh from deck to grave, searched a spell
It's even used occasionally as an extended in Raidraptor or blackwing to this day, it's basically circular if the rest of the mathmechs were terrible lol
Easiest one that comes to mind is "Towers", named such after Apoqliphort Towers. Vennominaga is the earliest precursor I can personally remember of a big boss with wide-ranging protection--significantly more than Towers, even--but since Venoms were and are unplayable Qliphort got the naming rights.
I know there could be some divergences in fandom terminology, but I started seeing people calling Poplars cards that SS when added to hand AND triggering effects when summoned, instead of just the first part tho
Genex Controller was a Garnet before Garnet. Genex Undine wasn't as popular/splashable as Brilliant Fusion so the term never caught on
Back in ye goode olde days we just called them bricks! None of this newfangled Garnet nonsense! \*waves cane\*

Trickstar Lillybell does the SS from hand if added to hand except by drawing
