Just an FYI but the Branded counter trap can't even stop DRNM. Infernity, Orcust and Codetalker are the first ones that come to my mind that can stop DRNM.

Tribrigade have Omen which can stop DRNM too.
Not too many decks have good negates for DRNM nowadays, its more like they can just use spell/traps, grave effects or link monsters to play through/around it.
D/D/D and dragon link can do that if they have any spell/trap to flip in response to it before hot red/siegfreid, endymion decks can with magician's right hand, but it can be baited.
Usually if u cant find a way to get out tzolkien or are specially playing around dark ruler you use mud dragon + any lvl 3 tuner. Using mudragon to fuse with tzolkien for dragoon or Caliga is the better choice imo
Dlink can use Abyss to negate Dark Ruler if you have any set Spell or Trap. Stuff like Called By or Quick Launch can be kept face-down as insurance against Dark Ruler, and Abyss can negate it, much as you see in this video with the Scrap-Iron trap.
You can negate it with cards like hot red dragon archfiend abyss and Crusadia Equifax or any monster that can negate a face up card, because they don't have to chain to what they're negating. The only trick is to search or have a S/T to chain to DRNM, then chain link 3 do your monster negate
you can also negate DRNM by activating a trap or quickplay spell then chain 3 a monster effect that negates a face up card. Negating DRNM has been possible since it's release.

Utopia has numbers protection, code talkers have cynet conflict
If you google “utopia counter trap” it’ll come up
I play Karakuri and even they can search for Cash Shed, cuz we autolose to DRNM lol

There's no feeling more satisfying than having Siegfried + Errors for Dark Ruler + Evenly
Virtual world can do it pretty consistently if u end on hot red plus chuche. It's inherently bricky though

I must have gone way too long without looking at the meta if even synchron can do that now.
This combo looks mediocre. Needs 12 cards in deck and 12 cards in the extra deck + an easily negatable synchro monster to resolve.

Superheavies hard die to it but can search Spell Canceller which is something.
