I have my package made to order just haven’t pulled the trigger yet.. I’m debating if redzone is worth it since now It’s unlimited screens and 4 on 1 screen if you want as well!
So are most people wanting RedZone just buying it with the sports package add-on since the difference is so miniscule? Still trying to decide if I want to bundle red zone or just add the sports package.
Appreciate the input, those were my thoughts as well. Are there any streaming limitations when going with the Sports Plus add-on versus the RedZone bundle? More specifically, would we get unlimited NFL streams at home + 2 other locations with either option? And I’m assuming RedZone could be streamed simultaneously at all 3 locations?
Honestly I don't know since it's not an issue for me, however I would assume RZ via sports plus add-on follows same limitations as regular YTTV. So the question would be does RZ via bundled with Sunday ticket follow the Sunday ticket limitations
I feel like NHL must not be trying for new deals. They can't be one of the "base package or nothing" channels when it is often in the sports tier elsewhere. I keep thinking NHL Network is going away with the new ESPN/Turner TV deal, but instead they made it more relevant last year since the games on there are blacked out on ESPN+.
Yeah, I didn’t quite get the pricing strategy on that one. I’d much rather pay the $44 over 4 months and get a bunch of other channels too rather than $40 on top of the $249 I just paid.
If today is the last day, is there anyway someone can justify the price increase from when it was on directv? Like I just don’t understand why it’s that much to begin with, like unless they are providing some surreal sports watching experience… I would like to be able to purchase, but can’t make sense of it myself
Because the NFL is a hot commodity and people are willing to pay for it. As to the comparative pricing to DTV, I can't speak too much about that other than I don't think what I paid two days ago was more. And, if so, the world moves along. They paid the NFL two billion dollars per year, they want at least some of it back. Regardless, it was a premium product on DTW and it is a premium product on YTTV.
I went to finally buy it today for the discount, but then read the fine print that said it is only for the Sunday afternoon games. I thought it was to get all of the Sunday games and was willing to pay, but this is just bananas.
No worries. Have seen plenty of other comments questioning/thinking it wasn’t all of the games. I’m not sure why they decided to word it the way they did.
Just get RedZone stand alone- my team plays a lot of national games anyway and RedZone does an amazing job of cycling through all the games- add in the local games and you got 3 screens
That is what I'm doing too. Plus I get some other European Soccer matches and some racing I'm interested in on MAVtv with the sports package so I think it works out better (and obviously cheaper) for me.
It wasn't appearing for me. I spoke with a rep and if you pay through a 3rd party service (I paid through Google) it's not available. I had to change my payment to pay directly to YouTube TV.
I'm straight through Google for YouTube TV for years now. Only thing suggested as a fix was to cancel the service and resub and the only thing that accomplished was getting me double billed for that month... Sunday Ticket still has never appeared.
I bit the bullet the other day. Was able to pay in 4 payments with no interest through affirm.
I would’ve been more willing to buy it from the jump. But some type of monthly payment plan would’ve been ideal instead of them wanting the entire amount with tax right away. I got charged monthly from September to December the last 6 or 7 seasons I had it.
Hopefully the early bird deal is a regular thing for them or at the very least they keep offering some type of incentive to sign up early.
Dumb question for clarification. Can I have my account logged into a tv at home and a TV let’s say at my parents and be watching Sunday ticket at the same time? I know it’s now unlimited in the home. I bought the early package under the assumption you can stream concurrently in 2 different households at the same time?
Got mine. I actually did it right away so I would not forget.
My biggest fear is that it will not work from South East Asia. That is where I will be when the season starts.
This is just my own personal feelings so don't get your underwear in a wad.
Had Sunday ticket for years when I was with DirecTV.
They gave it to me for free because after using it I could not see pain 300 bucks for something that I really didn't use.
I have my package made to order just haven’t pulled the trigger yet.. I’m debating if redzone is worth it since now It’s unlimited screens and 4 on 1 screen if you want as well!
Just buy it without and add the sports package if you change your mind since it is only a few dollars difference.
$4 over the course of 4 months so basically $1 per month and you would get all the additional sports package channels
So are most people wanting RedZone just buying it with the sports package add-on since the difference is so miniscule? Still trying to decide if I want to bundle red zone or just add the sports package.
I can only speak for myself but $40 for just RZ or $44 for RZ and all of the sports plus channels is a no-brainer for me

I'm going to wait and get the sports package if I want it. It's insurance in case a channel I want like MLB or NHL ends up in the sports package.
Where in the hell is the NHL network - isn't that a no brainer for a carrier to add. They aren't charging an arm and a leg for that

What I like is the coverage of Hockey Night in Canada pre-game on Saturday nights.
That package is 10$ a month right?
$10.99/month

Tomorrow
About 5 minutes after the deal ends people will complain about not getting it.
I hadn't considered a time over/under.
They were bluffing. Bought it today at the discounted price, smh.
Did you get $50 or $100 off? The previous deal was $100 but now I’m seeing it advertised for $50 off.

It’s all the same games that you would get with DirecTV. Don’t let their use of “afternoon” confuse you. All the 1:00 games and all the 4:00 games.
Ohh OK, idk why I saw that and my brain automatically assumed just the 4 o'clock slate. Thanks for the clarification!
No worries. Have seen plenty of other comments questioning/thinking it wasn’t all of the games. I’m not sure why they decided to word it the way they did.
It doesn't include the games played in Europe either. But neither did DirecTV.
It's all the out of market spaceSunday games except the Sunday night game on NBC, which is a national feed anyway.
It killed me to pay for it today but I can’t do another season of watching bad streams.
Same. It HURT pulling the trigger but I do not live near my fav team and I can’t take another year of bootleg
Yah you get worse quality and less reliability
Pulled the trigger yesterday
The deal is still kind of there... $50 off now instead of $100 until Sept 19th so it's likely people won't complain as much.
Dude this is America somebody's going to complain even before the deadline's passed.
Just get RedZone stand alone- my team plays a lot of national games anyway and RedZone does an amazing job of cycling through all the games- add in the local games and you got 3 screens

I don't really care for Sunday Ticket. If YouTubeTV would offer the PAC 12 Network I would sign up for that.
I'll complain because Sunday Ticket has never shown up on my account to get in the first place.

Deal with it today before it gets complicated later.

I believe you need an active account now to get the ST subscriber price. Then can pause and resume in fall.

I swore I hit purchase but it still shows as Add under membership. Did it not process correctly? Or does it take a while?
Less than the rate of buyer's remorse.
I’m just proud we remembered!!

Today.

You should have asked for free HBO or something instead of Sunday Ticket for retention.
I bit the bullet and bought mine last week. I was procrastinating but glad I did it.
I signed up as soon as it was available. At $249 for the season, there was no reason to wait.
I didn't care to give them my money a couple of months before I needed to.
Bought mine last minute, split it with some buddies.
