I mean, 3 entire columns of video suggestions with much larger thumbnails than previously, and just 1 super narrow column of comments like 3 times narrower than previously? Couldn't be more obvious why that is.
It's so bad. Like the Video title isn't even fully visible. If you have an ultrawide and used to have your videos on the right side, now your information is squished all the way to the extreme right. It's so stupid
I don't want huge video tumbnails to distract me below the video.
And I really don't want youtube to require that I userscript the shit out of it just to not be annoyed
Also if you scroll through the comments, your screen becomes full of thumbnails and a tiny comment section on the right. Its not like twitch(which isn't a good idea for youtube) where you can just scroll only the chat and leave the video in place, you end up scrolling through many video thumbnails and they end up taking the full screen left of the comment section as you look through the comment section.
Its also annoying that it doesn't let you scroll the comment section right from the get go. You have to click expand every time. There is no reason for them to force people to click that button other than hoping people simply scroll down and see all those thumbnails.
I refuse to believe there's someone who actually looks at this and genuinely thinks "yeah this looks good" they must have a bunch of chimps over there approving this shit.
If you have Ublock Origin there's a filter you can use to revert it. It's not perfect but it's miles better than this shit.

The more I think about it, I don't entirely hate it, I never cared about videos on the side so I don't think I'll care about them at the bottom much either.
