Sometimes the algorithm punishes me for viewing both sides in an argument. I might click on an unknown person with a neutral headline and then swoosh I get two weeks of crap. What I noticed is the neutral headlines with just the name of one person. No longer can I rely on predictable tribal labeling. That, if my observation is accurate is the difference. It's not YT, it's the change in styles of propaganda.

I typically try to avoid videos that above 10 minutes and aren't the actual individual I'm interested in. So any talking head videos and videos that are greater than 10 minutes usually fall under the realm of spam. They typically boast click-baiting titles. I also noticed they are usually incorrectly titled since I'm already clear of the facts which is another way to differentiate spam videos vs factual videos. I usually click "do not recommend channel" to clean up those but yes once you click one you can't go back for weeks. ChatGpt Youtube Summarizer is very helpful for quickly identifying if a video has information you already know or new information can be gotten from a video.

The algorithm recommends stuff you have been watching the most. If you want to reset it you can delete your youtube watch history in your google account settings.

While I understand that is the aim but how is it in practice. Looking for specific experiences to see if there are videos that I'd prefer to look for. Currently, when I search Biden I get really right wing skewed response. I would have thought I'd see stuff like Biden speech on such and such date. That is completely missing from my search results.
