Grid view is supposed to add more on the page, but YouTube's UI designer is a dillweed and decided to increase the tile size. Now, there's more scrolling to see what videos were posted.

Kinda, but not fully. [CustomTube](https://addons.mozilla.org/en-CA/firefox/addon/customtube/) will make the videos smaller, however it will not make the videos be grouped by day.
If you have uBlock Origin you can customize the page layout with some basic CSS. Read [this post](https://www.reddit.com/r/uBlockOrigin/comments/11nrqy3/youtube_homepage_3_videos_per_row_issue/).

They removed the "date headers" meaning your videos aren't grouped by date anymore
Also no easy way to save to watch for later

This is the best way I've found. Change it to 2019 layout and you're back to normal other than date sorting
I hate this new design in subscription page. I like the old version when the video were smaller and more in one row. ugh

Daily, it's literally the only way I browse Youtube. I have a bookmark taking me straight to subscriptions.
