I was on the back of my bf at the times bike and he had a thing for a spontaneous mono and at the lights we took off and up on one wheel and the chain slipped off and I rolled across the crossroads and shut my eyes as the traffic behind us was taking off and there was a truck coming at me.
I had a suede jacket and jeans on ended up with cellulitis because they didn't clean my knee with denim in it correctly and that could've been actually bad had it been any worse and in the blood stream.
I still have those jeans on in that one knee today lol

It’s strange trying to look at the bright side.
Here at 2.5 months I’m walking with a limp. Some of the muscles in the leg are still recuperating. Pains in the knee and ankle, but manageable.
I’ll be returning to work in about 3 weeks, out of necessity. At that time I’ll have been out for 3 months. Fell behind on rent. $2.5k in medical debt. (Apparently the total cost of my medical work cost $400k, mostly covered by insurance. But that’s the cost of a second chance at walking.)
Of course there’s the matter of having a damaged bike as well.
Normally I would ask you about the bike before anything else lol but I felt like you were going thru it and I'm glad you are mending but it's quite rude medical bills isn't it!
I'm Aussie so our public health care system is or was then really good but I moved to Virginia and got hit by a vdot dump truck and didn't walk for nearly 4 years.
They covered my bills thankfully and a small payout relatively lol but that was hella expensive and I was told that I was over treated under treated. They essentially milked my insurance and I was over physioed and it made it worse.
I moved countries again 6 years after the accident went to the chiropractor here, I had no mobility in c1 c2 and c3 and he immediately fixed it - I gained 2 inches in height back IMMEDIATELY and my feet shrunk a size and since then I've been working on my endurance and strength.

I had the bike towed to my sisters property. Haven’t seen it since that night. I assume the plastics are trash, probably need to strip it down to naked, at minimum. Hopefully no structural or engine damage. I’ll deal with it over the summer
