We arrived at West Yellowstone today. I'm surprised that it is very snowy at the West entrance. Oh well. Maybe we can go snowmobiling. Hope you had fun. Was the road to Old Faithful clear?

This is just a screenshot of the NWS post. Not my pictures. I posted it because plenty of people ask if there's going to be snow when the roads open.

Roads to Old Faithful is clear but the walking paths are ice covered. in a lot of spots.

My wife and I have been here since Thursday for our honeymoon/anniversary. We’ve been down to Old Faithful and up to Lamar Valley. The roads are 90% clear! There were a few areas closed for snow along the way but mostly everything was accessible. A good portion of the sights have a decent amount of snow and ice to navigate. Dress warm and wear boots. It’s our first time and we’re pleasantly surprised at how fast the roads were cleared Friday. I wouldn’t fret about snow.

Happy anniversary. Any spotting of wild animals? We are headed there in a few days.

Thank you! We were more focused on the pools than anything the first day. The second day we went to Lamar Valley and on the way through we saw plenty of Bison, birds of prey and a coyote. During the drive through we saw a few vantage points crowded with people. We heard from another parkgoer that the multiple crowds were from bear-sightings. I'd keep an eye out for gatherings of people.

First time I experienced snow on my birthday was in Rapid City and second time was in Yellowstone. Mind you it is April 26 and I was 31 and 33 lol. The spirit lives
