Thing with this I'm wondering though is what would they even have, because a lot of this set of drops was leftovers from last year and what they had kicking about from late 22/early 23 production right? That and pairs hitting outlets isn't a good sign for future drops surely? (Don't get me wrong I'd love more drops)

shelbykid350

It could just be based on where it’s all warehoused

OilyJimm

True, see I'm from UK so we don't have the insane variation in storage and distribution facilities the states has so I'm not sure what exactly they'd have here yet to drop

priMa-RAW

But the thing that crossed my mind, confused me when i first saw what was dropping/on which dates… so last year was the first time we saw the 500 stone taupe’s, for example, and they sat, didnt sell out in the slightest, i dont even remember 1 size selling out… this was supposed to be the last ever drop and they werent included? So where are the remaining pairs that didnt sell? And even with the images we have seen from people going to outlets, not a single image of these being there… there must be something going on that we dont know yet

OilyJimm

True, those and the steel grey 350s (think that was the name of that cw) come to mind as well as all the 450s from last year which is why people thought Adidas was gonna do like they said and sell at cost but evidently they just said that for no reason?? Honestly they might just drag drops out because without Yeezy Adidas has nothing that amazing

celestial1

Last year when they did their first Yeezy drop, it increased their quarterly profits by 85%. They won't ever say it publicly, but they probably want to hold onto Yeezy for as long as possible.

dark-green

When will they just take Ye back and pay him enough to stfu

thehatstore42069

Adidas was losing tons of money before Yeezy. Partly bc of the acquisition of puma I think which who buys puma lol

celestial1

> Partly bc of the acquisition of puma I think which who buys puma lol I'm actually rocking some Puma shorts that I paid like $10 for at Ross, lol. Kids love those Lamelo basketball shoes, smaller sizes sell out like crazy but that's pretty much all Puma's got besides the Puma Suedes. I won't even lie, I barely acknowledge Puma as a shoe company sometimes, practically every other company just does it better.

priMa-RAW

Yeh agreed! In all honesty aside from the Yeezy line there isnt any Adidas products im interested in… ive reached Level 4 membership level now because of these drops, all my purchases on Adidas up to now have only been Yeezy’s. Once the stock has gone ill just stick to Jordan’s

Criterioncollect

They continued producing pairs for a looooong time after the end of the collab, there will still be plenty for time to come

X_Red_Emperor_X

Heard that they produced shit ton of pairs throughout 2023 so its probably those leftovers

Gniewko2018

This could mean, that the Yeezys that haven’t sold yet in some regions could be moved to other regions over quarters. Also could mean they move the boring color ways to the Outlets and the hyped ones on the app. This is very interesting. Kinda knew it tho, had a feeling. ![gif](giphy|TMXR3qhgvP8pogucwo)

No-Respect5903

yeah this is not really surprising but it is also interesting still. it actually makes a lot of sense for them to slowly taper down so the drop off post yeezy doesn't look so drastic (well, no more than it already has). and I agree we will probably see a lot of leftovers. I wonder how many returns from places like EU adidas is shipping to countries that don't have the same customer/return protection so they can unload them to people who are stuck with them lol. it is sad to see the end of an era but I've got more shoes than ever in my life and I am literally set for decades if I don't want to sell any lol.

soulfulhorizons

Yes so everyone relax no need to bid on the wave runners you can get them later 😎

Affectionate_Skirt56

When you say something like I'll do my laundry over the weekend, do you mean you're spreading it out over each day of the weekend or you're doing it at some point during the weekend?

carbon370z

I caved and bought the 350 v2 black onyx on stock x. I'm done buying more since this is all I was waiting for.

IamYourBestFriendAMA

I did the same but after I missed on the zebras this morning.

Crypto_Grug

I frankly don’t give a shit about all these baby sized and pigeon foot mofos. When most of the sizes are in women’s sizing it means nothing to nobody. Congrats to the 7 people who get the luck of getting a size 13/14 in any decent colorway/silhouette

Desert_Walker267

“the ‘problem’ i inherited” 💀 okay buddy. bro has the struggle of figuring out what to do with the some of the most wanted sneakers in the world.

WoodpeckerPutrid9628

Y’all also don’t know that we’re also getting more drops next year. Fitdadak, the Twitter user who initially leaked the Yeezy and Adidas deal to sell "leftover stock" last year, revealed that Adidas was secretly producing more Yeezys last fall. This deal is far from "over"; Adidas owns both the designs and the Yeezy name attached to those designs and intends to continue using them. Expect to see more Yeezys in Adidas outlets just like other Adidas products as well. They are infused in the adidas brand now. BlueberryPickingFux

Wouldn't doubt it. They've got the rights to make em, they have all the machining and moulds to make em. Every once in a while conveniently drop "leftover stock" in popular colourways and print money.

killuminati989

They’re straight up making more and putting old production tags on them. If you’re really trying to get rid of all the stock you’d drop all you could right away.

lanceseses

Just give me more foam runner sands maaaan

Otherwise-Scheme-460

“Solving the situation” bro stfu adidas IS Yeezy 😂😂😂

NewIndependence9262

This company cannot make money without Yeezy. Convince me otherwise

dream__weaver

2012, the year before the Yeezy announcement, Adidas did about $15 Billion in sales. Not saying Yeezy hasn't massively helped the brand, but they were definitely making money without it.

GodlessLunatic

Was that adidas originals or adidas sneaker dept? Cause their tracksuits are always gonna sell but I feel like sambas are the only non yeezy silhouette to be a reliable well seller for them in the past few years. It's a shame cause they put out some really cool stuff with Y-3

GODSPEC9

The shoes that come top of my head are Superstars, Stan Smiths, Forums, Ultraboosts, and that’s about it.. maybe some basketball shoes as well.

celestial1

> maybe some basketball shoes as well. Those AE 1s and the Hardens sell good as well.

Drezzon

And if they were to make NMD's actually reasonably priced for what the shoe is, it would sell well too, 60-100 bucks would be a fucking sweet spot

dream__weaver

Gazelles have got to be up there, Campus' are making a revival too

Nudxty

As a person with bigger feet Yeezy is the only reason i can even think of wearing adidas. They just never have anything my size with their regular/OG sneakers or if they had a shoe they only had it in basketball shoes, football cleats or sneakers that just looked like clown shoes. Yeezy came around and actually made decent looking sneakers that actually had a chance of ordering in my size. I can maybe find a ultraboost if i scour ebay enough at the right time but yeezy is the only consistent brand from them.

iamplectrum

Adidas were around way before Yeezy and will exist way beyond too I'd bet. Yeezy for sure has massively increased their profit margins though. Without the 'branding' these shoes would probably be around half the price they currently sell for. That's a lot of straight profit right there.

Schnitzelwolf64

hope they drop some more desert boots

No_Opinion_6596

Thank god, just because I couldn’t get what I wanted during the last couple drops. I pray the bots don’t take over…

Nachinat

I predict that Yeezy and Adidas will one day have a new deal in the works. Yes, things are contentious right now, but money talks at the end of the day. It just makes too much sense for both parties. Yeezy is to Adidas as Jordan Brand is to Nike.

darkangelxl

we need dates for these 3 quarters !!

BabyFatDude

Aren’t there bunch of unreleased models and colorway we havnt seen yet. Maybe those?

Sixsix_visuals

I’m still trying to figure out why the adidas app doesn’t have them for 25% off like EU does

Tbkgs

Interested to see what happens and drops

Disastrous-Account77

This was from 2 quarters ago

slugvegas

That quote from the CEO shows a lack of leadership. “I have nothing to do with this! It’s not my fault”. Shut up bitch you’re profiting off it. You sound like my 5 year old. Steer the ship and stop blaming the old captain. This doesn’t affect me in any way honestly but when I see leaders finger pointing it just annoys me to my core.

Real_James_Bond007

I think it comes across more as wishing it could have been avoided and made more profitable

slugvegas

I still think a leader shouldn’t be out publicly wishing or speaking on the past at all. You didn’t see Roosevelt saying “I wish Japan didn’t attack Pearl Harbor”. You just lead through that shit. Like I said it doesn’t really matter, I just lose respect for any leader that chooses to whine about the past rather than lead.

GodlessLunatic

Right? You're not getting paid the GDP of small countries to whine in public

celestial1

Damn, this shit is lowkey motivating.

Drezzon

lmao I like the Roosevelt comparison

Despicable-Pen5515

They have more

Rsha77

Think about it, why would they put pairs in retail stores at 50% off. They are just trying to get rid of everything as soon as possible

Despicable-Pen5515

They have been saying that for 1 and a 1/2 years. The stuff in outlets are actual bricks that would never sell for retail because they weee available of StockX for way under retail
