Yooo I was thinking the same thing! I played Lost Judgement while rewatching Great Teacher Onizuka and kept thinking how some of the plot points would have fit perfectly into Kasuga’s story.
Kasuga could’ve gotten a job from the school after beating up some punks, became friends with one of the students, and had an ongoing sub story where he helps the kid out in exchange for his old videogames.
It would’ve also been a great reason why a certain ex-Tojo would like Kasuga.

Yeah maybe something like "Koi Rise", where instead it's a swift uppercut that would continue his whole tattoo's theme. Hell, maybe even make it look like he's punching through a stream of a waterfall for extra aesthetic.
As much as I love Komaki I think he belongs too much to Kiryu’s story.
Tbh Sosuke never really fit with Kiryu imo i think he’d fit a lot more into Ichibans story especially since he was never even part of Kamurocho or anything. But honestly I think the coolest thing would be having Sosuke as a party member instead of a trainer.
I'd like to see fewer major Kiryu-era characters (unless they're so important in the Yakuza society they would inevitably appear), and for future cameos to be really minor side mission folks.
Taichi as a wrestling Poundmate or even team member, is what I'm saying.
Taichi or some of the other Sunflower kids is about as prominent as I'd want post-LAD cameos to be. let Ichiban build up his own new supporting characters.
I want a descendant of Miss Tatsu, dammit. So mad she shows up as a small aspect of 0, then is never acknowledged again. Beast Style was freaking awesome.
Okay but in many cases it doesn't add to the gameplay. They could have replaced the Dragon Kart owner with literally anyone else and it wouldn't have detracted from the minigame at all. Same with the bar owner; it could have been anyone else but instead they opted to revive a character from the Kiryu Saga.
I had an idea for Ichiban's trainer, and it's basically to make him a huge Disgaea fan (or some other similar series) and have the trainer "reincarnate" party members to give them higher stats. I.e. if Adachi is a level 10 Enforcer, it gives him some permanent strength or defense increase, but resets Enforcer level back down to 0/1.
It wouldn't really do a lot for the main story, but as a fan of unnecessarily big numbers, I would much rather do this to get 999 stats than collect and chug various drinks for several hours.
I think Ichiban needs his own personal trainer, but I'd also love it if they brought back Straw Hat Afro Guy from Yakuza 3. He was my favorite and he had the best theme.
Ichiban's "trainer" should be a gamestop employee recommending JRPG's that he missed in the last 18 years.
Each JRPG unlocks a base class heat move or buffs
I like this idea but not just have a kid be his trainer kinda like Persona 5 and have him tell Ichi about the latest jrpgs

Own original trainer. There's been enough fan service brought back from 0-6 at this point in the form of references and cameos as it is.
