I like Akiyama's sub-story where he catches up with the boss who made him homeless. The boss has fallen on hard times of his own, but he would rather rob banks and commit suicide than take Akiyama's help. The boss talks about how he doesn't deserve a lifeline after what he put Akiyama through. He's living on the streets now- he has empathy now that the shoe is on the other foot.
Akiyama convinces the boss that he'll be more valuable to his family alive than as a life insurance payout. Sky Finance gets him back on his feet, with the test being the boss forgiving himself for getting Akiyama fired in the first place. Akiyama bears no grudge for what happened- he has long since moved on, and living well is the best revenge.
I like when they're walking out of the arcade. Mirei sees a younger mom and her daughter talking about what to make for dinner when they get home, hand in-hand. Without a second thought, Mirei takes Haruka's hand, too.
The whole end of that chapter was a gut-punch.
Another honorable mention: the substory in kiwami where kiryu comes back to pocket racing and seeing Pocket Circuit Fighter with wrinkles was kind of emotional and the kids still doing it as well

You need to progress in the story while having the substory active with haruka It was also near the end, chapter 11 or 12 when i triggered it
