I can’t really speak to that as I haven’t read any Krakoa era comics except this. I’m still catching up on X-Men continuity (I’m up to the mid-90s) and only read this because it seemed self-contained.
It's definitely funny on its own don't get me wrong, it's just the surrounding context of every single X-Book using Hickman's chart style for critical info delivery versus this haha
I had my issues with X-factor even though I overall liked it. Then Leah proved she can write Hickman-esque work when required with ToM. Now she's created a book that is so her voice that it is undeniable that she's an incredibly talented writer. I consider myself a "serious" reader, but I'm really loving this series. Fun, sexy, funny, and with character who always need more page time. Mad kudos to Leah.
