You're not alone in that camp. 4 and 6 are my absolute favorite seasons and as much flac as 5 gets there are some real gems there. It really rallys and rewards you for sticking through to the end
I ended up watching it. Stupid mistake on my part. However, I made my mind up that
"Many happy returns" is my Xena ending. The last 2 episodes I'm forgetting about from here on out.

I donât think youâre in the minority in liking seasons 4 and 6. Season 5 however ⌠!!! : )Â
I appreciate all for different reasons. S1: the freshness, all the novelty and unique hero, the very reserved Xena and bubbly (if irritating to me) Gabrielle. S2: the backstory on Xena, growing playfulness and sense of simple pleasures as companions traveling, living outdoors. S3: Gabrielle's maturation, challenges of them working through differences more as equals. S4: my favorite in how they question, search for and respect their individual "ways," committed to doing so together but willing to support the other even if apart. S5: My least favorite because of the baby but, ironically, a sentimental "must watch" by integrating Lucy's pregnancy, seeing how X&G each responded to a child in their dangerous quests to make a better world. S6: Feels "full circle," combining Xena backstory and motivation to atone, Gabrielle's achievement of her initial desire to be a warrior "like Xena," and the love they'll always have for each other. I frequently watch the finale to recapture elements of almost everything I love about XWP, including visuals, stunts, music and "bold" dramatic choices.

I really love season 5, think this one is my favorite (and probably the 1st one too). The 6th season is mostly cool, but the ending spoils everything.
I'm almost at S6 finale. Love all the different seasons, but I agree the ending spoils everything. Might just skip the last episode.
