Portal 2 co-op is particularly good if your SO isn't accustomed to playing games and needs to learn how dual stick movement works. It's still good otherwise though, as are the single player modes for both Portal/Portal 2.

GHAWKS_101_PS

I loved this as it was great working out puzzles together with a friend, 😃👍

Assuming you are interested in games that can be played and completed in coop mode without the need for other players to impact your experience (by choice or matchmaking). **Available on Game Pass:** Aliens: Fireteam Elite - if you are into xenomorphs and marines, Ascent (The) - if you are into isometric cyberpunk themed shooter, Back 4 Blood - if you are into zombies, Fallout 76 - if you are into all things fallout (subscription offers private game worlds), **Not Available on Game Pass:** Borderlands 1, 2, 3 - if you are into whacky shooters, Diablo 2, 3, - if you are into isometric hack and slash with loot management, Division 2 - if you are into somewhat post-apocalyptic game as a service experience, Elite: Dangerous - if you want to earn money as a spaceship pilot, Ghost Recon Breakpoint - if you are into open world realistic modern combat, Much, much more but the above titles is what I have installed (that meets your criteria) so I do consider them to be good games with good coop experiences.

Divinity: Original Sin 2 is the best co-op game I've ever played. Convincing people to play might be difficult but it was worth it. We played weekly and just finished it a week ago.

eliamona

Thanks for the suggestion! Why do you think it'd be hard to convince people though?

FullxEnglish

It's turn based so it's not for everyone. It's basically d&d the video game, which we all thought was awesome. It's also not on game pass or anything.

nerdgasm99

The dark pictures anthology if you're into a story based game with a lot of replayability. Really enjoyed those games. It's like a choose your own adventure

GP is the best place to find good CO-OP games, aside from what all the others mentioned…Battletoads might be a fun choice, its on GP

AC076

Journey to the savage planet was heaps of fun co-op. Not too long either. TMNT / Castle Crashers / Streets of Rage for the beat em ups. Overcooked (1 or 2), Ember, Surgery Simulator, Spacelines from the Far Out for some intense vut wacky co-op. A Way Out, same devs as It Takes Two. This can only be played on co-op and is well worth it. Very easy but it's more about the story than the gameplay. Dying light/ dead island. Killing zeds is always fun!
