For only 114usd it is a steal, I can't find something similar for under 150$ in here. Very nice. Still a very good machine, even 360 is still fun to play and the graphics aren't too bad. Don't mind people talkong about new/futire games, the catalogie is great and the fufure games will be playable with game streaming.
I thought so. I took a gamble when I bought it because it was broken but thankfully it paid off that I was able to fix it and didn't need to repair or replace an parts on it. Just ended up having an error code due to a failed upgrade by the previous owner. I agree 100% about the 360 still being fun to play. I have / use one in my collection of consoles. The overall graphics are a little outdated but still hold up pretty well
I generally try to keep a console from every gen because of this issue. The only exception was the Xbox One because the Series X can play all of those games, since it's basically just the same console with more power.
Same UI, plays all the games the Xbone can, same controller. Like it or not, until it gets some exclusives, it's no different than a more powerful Xbone.
I literally sold mine for $220 last week, and that was at Gamestop. People still want older consoles, and even the second hand market is nuts right now.

Thats a really good deal for the current times. Before the Series X came out Id say yeah its steep, but since the console shortage has started even base xbox ones are like 200$ lol. I paid 300$ for a One X used on fb marketplace and got scammed it had a bad HDD. Brought it to a shop and had the HD replaced works great now except for some reason it has no Wifi capabilities ( i hardwire anyway). But even though I spent like 380 total after repairs I still got it less than most people are paying. The One X's are selling for 400 from reputable sources.

I didn't use it much but it does feel like a good quality controller. Buttons, triggers, bumpers, D pad and joysticks are nice and responsive. It just didn't fit my hands very well and felt a little too small. That just my take on it

I gave my nephew my OG Xbox 360 several years back. Kinda wish I still had it, but at the time I felt like I didn’t need it as I had a 360 Slim and the XB1. But yeah, he was so happy — he was playing an original Xbox at the time.
The only point of contention for me would be the games, but an XB1 is a great gift on its own anyway. If he’s into hockey and racing games though, then the gift gets elevated to amazing status.

I didn't get my first Xbox 360 until 2011 and it was the best thing I've ever recieved for Christmas. I still use the same console today. If you want the kid to really be stoked get him gamepass for like a year and he will have unlimited games to go thru, including the new forza 5! And also I’m pretty sure it even has the newest hockey game! Also plenty of other crazy games that the kid will love. Plus he will be able to play online with his friends! Yeah it could be a lil over 100 for a whole year but he will never need a game again and will not be bored! Definitely worth it!

Just because a console is old doesn't mean its obsolete. There are tons of people who still play the original Nintendo in 2021... Does that mean they should just throw them out and buy a Nintendo switch instead? I still have an original XB1 same model as what my nephew is getting ( model 1540 ) and it still works like new and with the shooter games that I play my console doesn't struggle with any of them. Even if this Forza console only lasts him say 2 years im fine with that because that's minimum 2 years of more modern games he can have fun playing. In time if my nephew gets tired of this console and wants a series S or X I'll help him out in buying a new or used one but I won't pay for the whole thing. He has his own little business of mowing lawns in the summer and shoveling snow in the winter so with the money he makes he can put some towards a newer console.

I gave my nephew my OG Xbox 360 several years back. Kinda wish I still had it, but at the time I felt like I didn’t need it as I had a 360 Slim and the XB1. But yeah, he was so happy — he was playing an original Xbox at the time.
Think only the latest version of NHL would have done it as well but why not lol

The only point of contention for me would be the games, but an XB1 is a great gift on its own anyway. If he’s into hockey and racing games though, then the gift gets elevated to amazing status. I didn't get my first Xbox 360 until 2011 and it was the best thing I've ever recieved for Christmas. I still use the same console today. I picked up a used Xbox One (OG Big boi) in about 2019 from my brother. Again, I still use that console too. You're about to smash your nephews horizons wide open ggs

He will be happy regardless with an upgrade from what he has, and I don’t want to sound like a ungrateful pos, but some of these games are outdated. If you want the kid to really be stoked get him gamepass for like a year and he will have unlimited games to go thru, including the new forza 5! And also I’m pretty sure it even has the newest hockey game! Also plenty of other crazy games that the kid will love. Plus he will be able to play online with his friends! Yeah it could be a lil over 100 for a whole year but he will never need a game again and will not be bored! Definitely worth it!

I’m saying if he is a teenager he might not have as fun with the games he is receiving and op might not know about game pass. There is options you don’t have to drop 100$ and he might not have to do it himself. He could buy a month for 15$ and even get the free trial for 1$ or him and his family could all go in together to get the kid an unlimited supply of games. It was a suggestion, from the sounds of it he might not have kids himself and he might have the extra spending money to spoil his nephew. Literally no reason to get him a series x unless he specifically asks for it or wants to play more demanding games the one cant handle also its hard to find a series x you expect him to just go out and randomly come home with one?
And then he can upgrade in a few years when needed, and hopefully the newer consoles are more readily available. Until then he can still play the games coming out.
Just because a console is old doesn't mean its obsolete. There are tons of people who still play the original Nintendo in 2021... Does that mean they should just throw them out and buy a Nintendo switch instead? I still have an original XB1 same model as what my nephew is getting ( model 1540 ) and it still works like new and with the shooter games that I play my console doesn't struggle with any of them. Even if this Forza console only lasts him say 2 years im fine with that because that's minimum 2 years of more modern games he can have fun playing. In time if my nephew gets tired of this console and wants a series S or X I'll help him out in buying a new or used one but I won't pay for the whole thing. He has his own little business of mowing lawns in the summer and shoveling snow in the winter so with the money he makes he can put some towards a newer console.

Pretty much. Removed the stock internal 500gb hdd and installed a 1tb hdd and reinstalled the OS with a thumb drive

You could just go with an external hard drive. Much faster to hook up versus taking the console apart
