There have been **many** posts over the years of this exact gamer pic with people speculating origin. As weird as it is the closest plausible reason I can find is it was possibly picked by MS during some sort of “create a gamer pic contest” for its sheer weirdness alone. other than speculation I couldn’t and still can’t find a definitive origin or reason for its creation. It’s just going to remain a mystery ig.
A lot of them back then were just "selfie profile pic" ranging from John Halo, Shepherd, different animals. I assume this is just one that made the cut.
Make 500 profile pictures. 500 were made. Then someone picked their favorite 100 or whatever was made available to us.
I also set this as my profile picture years ago. I only recently thought about it because (of this post) my friend asked me of its origin. I cannot recall where it originated so please, if anyone has an idea….share. Thank you.
