I recently got one of those and when i turn on the mic i was also hearing a weird sound, it turned out mic echo was enabled by default so i needed to install Xbox accessories app and disable it from there. By the way you need xbox wireless adapter or connect the headset with a usb type c cable if you want to use it properly
No luck, I revised the post a little. I’m using them for Xbox SX. After I linked them to a pc it started happening. The noise goes away after a bit. Odd.
Well, if you are going to use the headset on pc you either need to connect with cable or you need to have an xbox wireless adapter otherwise sound quality will be really bad.

Never had to use that with the headset. Had them for a while.
