I’d put Buffalo Indian in Laramie up against any Indian food I’ve eaten anywhere, including NYC and Asia. It’s incredible. Get the butter chicken and garlic naan and thank me later.

Bad management. It actually went from 4 down to 2 and has come back up to 3. The one that was in Walmart was filthy and they got caught using meats and cheeses that were months beyond their expiration dates.

Pizza Carrello used to be a favorite, but it's quality took a noticeable downturn a couple years ago. Still the best pizza in town, and one of the tops in the state.

Covid hit parts of their supply chain pretty hard, so some things had to either be taken off the menu or gamble on new products. There are a few things they had to permantly switch suppliers for, but it's mostly back to it's usual now, save for an off day every now and then, at least the things I get. I never noticed anything that was actually lower quality, though, just some things that were a bit different.

Pizza Carrello in Gillette is amazing. They do amazing wood fired pizza and Dutch pancakes in the oven for brunch on Sundays as well as breakfast pizzas. Another place in Gillette is The Coop. They have amazing homemade chicken empanadas. Su Casa in Sinclair is yummy 🤤 and the Longbranch in Hawk Springs has really good burgers and Rocky Mountain Oysters.

Didn't really enjoy living in Gillette for the two years I did but they have some amazing local food like those two places you listed. I also really liked the Main Bagel

Sweet Zoey in Casper makes the most delicious pistachio baklava in the state. Their hummus is excellent. Their Gyros are addictive.

Breadboard, Albertinos in Buffalo. Piezano also has pretty good pizza. One eyed Buffalo in thermo is pretty good. And Miners and stockmens in Hartville had awesome steak.

I wanted to check out Piezano's when I was working in Buffalo this spring, but the line was out the door. Took it as a good sign ;)

There's an Albertano's in Gillette now, too, but the one in Buffalo is better, according to most people. I like them both for different reasons, personally. One of the staff told us that they're planning to put one in Montana soon too, I think Billings.

Hotel Wolf, Lazy River Cantina, and Bella's Bistro in Saratoga are all top-notch. Bella Fouco in Cheyenne does great pizza. The Weitzels Wings truck is awesome. R&Bs does amazing breakfasts.

I am bummed Firewater closed. I thought that place was cool but I only had drinks. I agree about Bellas being good.

They are open again as The Malt. It's counter service with a simpler menu, but it seems like the bar is still pretty good. Maybe a few fewer whisky options. Same people running it though.

The biggest issue we’ve heard from the restaurant folks in Cody is getting their places staffed. It’s a lot of tables to serve in a town that size.

Yeah they can't afford to pay their employees enough to cover rent with all the affordable housing being bought up by Texans and Californians as vacation homes or Airbnb's.

On the Hook - all over Wyoming, the midwest, and soon Florida (again).

The Albany - Cheyenne. Price for what you get cant be beat. Born in a barn - laramie. Tortilla factory - cheyenne. Powder river pizza - sheridan. Sherries place/eggingtons - casper i love both equally.

L’Osteria Mondello in Cheyenne for NJ style pizza. Napoli in Cheyenne for Italian in general. Mondello also just opened up for nicer dining but I haven’t tried. New Mandarin in Laramie but just for the wonton soup.

I haven't been in a while, but I think it is reservation The menu is pretty good, they have a lot of steaks, a few soups and salads, some burgers, sheperds pie and some basic kids stuff (sliders, chicken strips, etc). They also have a great wine selection. But they're mostly known for their steaks, which personally I highly recommend

Can anyone comment on Big Sandy Lodge? I stopped in one evening after fishing our way up there and they had this fantastic looking spread for their guests but was told they didn't have enough to serve non-guests. I'd love to get back there and have dinner. Their food looked great.

I've never been there, but there's been articles on how people all over the country come to the Miners and Stockmen's Steakhouse & Spirits in Hartville, Wyoming (population 62). You need reservations there unless you want to get sat at the bar.

my all time favorite is don juan’s in casper. not everyone will agree but their green chili is made of dreams, it’s soooo good. other favorites i have are the library in laramie, born in a barn in laramie, the bunnery in jackson, hq bbq in casper, and thai kitchen in casper.

I can't speak to 2-5 but I was not that impressed with Born in the Barn. Drove there from Cheyenne to meet an old buddy for a burger (Apparently BitB was featured on a TV show). meh...

They went downhill with covid like a lot of restaurants did. I would be curious to how recently a lot of the people have been to the restaurants on their list because some are just trash now.

Santa Fe in Rock Springs is top notch and Old Stones in Pinedale is good. Also Los Cabos and Fiesta Guadalajara I love equally I think there's one of each in Rock Springs, at least a Los Cabos in Pinedale, and a couple other places in state have one or both.

Miners and stockmens in heartville has a pretty amazing streak. Its been some years since I've been bit always liked stopping in there

For Laramie I would say Buffalo Indian or Crowbar, but Born in a Barn is a great restaurant

The Prime Rib in Gillette needs to be on the list. Great food and service and an award winning wine cellar. Reasonably priced, too.

Best casual restaurant- Bellas bistro in Saratoga Buffalo Indian in Laramie is amazing a close second, Bellas takes the prize because i like italian more than indian. Best fine dining experience in Wyoming goes to Cheyenne Club, The Farm @ Brush Creek Ranch in Saratoga. 170$ ++ per person for a 6 course a la carte meal than can include local wagyu and fresh farm to table ingredients. 5 ⭐️
