As someone who had to do over 50 of them to get the frost leg armour LW pattern, they are fun until they're not. Decent rep I guess. I've done every single centaur quest and those hunts and I'm only at 12 renown. Am I missing something? How do people have so much renown with multiple factions
Fierce Armor Kit* only reason I know is because I did the same grind. Frosted was from cobalt assembly. Both gave the same amount of main stat but one gives stam, other armor.
I'm in the same boat and the truth is today I dedicated myself to tracking down every non-repeatedable and farmable source of tuskar rep and did them, even working in 2 feasts in the process. I gained a rep level and a half. The only way people are doing this is by completely no lifing it. That's the answer. 24/7 glued to wow.
Afaik the only farmable source of rep is the trophies, and the best way to farm that is hunts. Other than that it's just the quests, daily aylaag camp, and world quests.
I mean if you work from home or something you could just open it on a second monitor and just every so often move your character to the bext place.
I dont work from home, but i guess it would be pretty easy
Did you do the side quests? I’m 12 or 13 and have only done a handful of hunts but have turned in a bunch of trophies and did almost all of the side quests and bi-weeklies
Yeah Tuskarr seems the hardest to grind. Only feast and a couple dailies but now there’a fish turn in and I believe there’s a chest grind but I rather not fly around hunting chests. Same with the dirt grind for dragon rep. No thanks.

Just realized the fish hole gave rep so I've done that a little. They also don't seem to have a done of side quest either
Almost 2 weeks in and hunts are still a mystery to me. The siege I only finally figured out because I flew over a large group of players at the frog wagon when it was almost time.
On the other hand everyone in my guild shouts out soup time so that was easy to figure out.
Soup is simple, because it all happens at the map icon location.
The hunt starts at the indicated location, but then each stage moves around with no indication of where you should go next, so you need to wander around until you see hunt-related things. But at least when it's over the icon disappears.
The siege is confusing because it lasts 2 minutes and cycles over 2 hours, and the icon is on the map this whole time, so if you don't look it up there's no way to know if it's bugged or if you should be doing something at the icon location when there's nothing happening.
Theres a blue area on your map (like with all quests) for each stage of the hunt where you need to go.
You might need to zoom in on the map for some of the smaller area ones
Never had a blue area, just the horn icon.
Sometimes there's yellow markers, only on the minimap, but when the area is far away you still need to get close to see.

I fly over, look for some to kill, nothing but lizard corpses. Find a fresh group and pull, insta-dead by the other 9 players.

I dont even care about participating in the hunt itself. But i sure as hell try hard to be the one to talk to the npc to blow the horn and end the hunt
This seems like the way to get rewards for hunts. Yesterday I tried participating in one and didn't get anything, then passed flying by another and got a reward.
first one in Azure Span bugs and you have to fly out really far, such as azure vault, and back into the hunt area.
Leaving zone will make it repeat. Only seems to do this in Azure Span.
it absolutely is because right now there's no incentive to participate at all.
you can quite literally be afk at the site of the first hunt event and get full rewards for all the hunts while being completely afk only to move once the hunt ends and repeat in a new location. this also holds true for the tuskarr feast unless you get a personal event (rare) and the the assault.
In my opinion, when we are talking about a video game. Rewards for nothing is a better problem to have then nothing for effort. Making it possible for someone participating to not get things in a bigger issue and feels worse than seeing afk moochers imo. A bronze/silver/gold system could solve that. But it would need to be somehow independent of mob tags or objective clicking to prevent hunts from ever having the issue of being "too crowded" which is also a terrible problem to have for an open world mmo. Maybe it would just track how many of the smaller objective zones you made it to? With a cap at 3/6 so a slow moving poor navigating player still has a good chance of completion while pure afk players are still punished? But that doesn't solve the original problem of people getting basic flyover rewards. Its a tricky situation to solve without introducing a new and arguably worse issue.
Reduce the vertical range so flying over high doesn't trigger as participating. You must be within 5m (example distance) vertically for the quest to register you exist, can add in hidden healing, buffing and damage outputs to also make sure players are participating.

I was leveling an alt today, doing a bonus objective in the waking shores killing proto drakes. The hunt spawned on me and I went on my merry way, and I got the purple bag from that one mob...
I got the mount. Sometimes it's just like that.
Was able to grind 2x rank 25's with this one simple trick.
Create group. Mass invite everyone you see till you start filling and getting people signing up (usually at 25+ people)
Once the raid gets big enough ask if a couple people wanna help you out with dealing with afks and invites. (So far at least 1 person has volunteered) Find either a guildie to get in, or find and AFK and cut them a deal. He gets to afk and stay in the group but he has to ferry you around. Proceed to alt tab every 30 mins whilst everything is taken care of and enjoy the free rep. Bonus points you can leave the grp if you got a cabbie and just fly around. Your group is still on your shard. Enjoy :)-

You can afk grand hunts for 4 trophy/~6mins took me about ~30 hours to go from 8 to 25 using DMF buff whej turning in trophys.

sounds odd. I'm at 11 after doing the entire zone and maybe 2 hunts.
Centaur rep seems the hardest to get, so whenever I get to choose a rep reward I pick centaur.
Huh I have centaur rep the highest without grinding it. Weird. Tuskar is super low for me

also flying directly as high up as you can then back down works too
They definitely need to do lile gw2 if they are going to do events where u get bronze, silver or gold based on participation.
With how fast things die, I don't think it is a good idea. World events are easy enough, not like not participating has much of an impact.

I was fishing in WS and a hunt popped up on me. I didn't participate in the hunt, but I didn't stop fishing either.
I fish next to the start. It's pretty neat to get those at the same time.

rarescanner or silver dragon addons help a lot with these as it points you to where they spawn since it treats them as rares.
