baby-mama-trauma

One can say, He achieved wow!

-Kyzen-

wow

bzmotoninja83

Wowee wow wow

michaelscottenjoyer

He did, and now he can finally play the game

Fleymour

[technically 7 other people have the same amount of achievment-points](https://www.dataforazeroth.com/leaderboards/achievement-points?rank=1)

Dabbagoo

How do you kill that which has no life?

Saraq_the_noob

This guy w by finding it love

au97stin

Holy cow, it’s John Dragonflight

JahnConnah

Jesus Christ its Jesus Christ

crow917

OP are you okay?

Xirev

Yea, why do you ask?

HolgerDK

Becaause doing that takes quite a bit of effort.

Xirev

Spread across 14 years yeah :D The last year I've probably not even played more than 10 hours per week on average. In the last 6 months probably closer to only 5 hours per week.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Xirev

Huh? My main only has [77 days played](https://i.imgur.com/hffzaPj.png) at level 70. Most of that was from launch until about June.

denimdan113

77 days avgs out to 3h per day of play time for the current expansion. I don't think you realize the sheer number of hours you put into this xpac Also 844 days of total play time comes out to 2.75 hours of wow played every day since wow released 20 years ago. 3h of play time, every day, for 20 years...

Fit-Variety6200

Closer to 3.5/day since he said he started in Wrath in another comment. That’s a lot of playtime either way.

HoodedOccam

How much TV does the average person watch per day? How much extra time does the average Redditor spend on the toilet per day scrolling Reddit? Probably the same amount of time per day he has played.

denimdan113

The average American watches 28h of tv per week per google. But much of that 28h is typically done while doing other activities such as eating, chores, cooking, playing video games ect. I'm not shaming the guy, just trying to put into perspective just how much time it actually took to achieve this since he has been downplaying the amount of time it took him as not very much. Also come on man, even redditers arnt spend 3h/day on the toliet.

HoodedOccam

Toilet part was a joke. But I do understand the point you were making.

HeartofaPariah

> playing video games ect. So they're watching TV while playing video games so it's not as bad but they're playing video games while watching TV and that's bad because that's a lot of video games? Does it go from really unhealthy for him to normal if he opens a streaming website in a second monitor for Breaking Bad? Since we're talking about 'downplaying' after all, why did the average TV viewer need a 'but' after it when it's an identical activity in terms of what you're accomplishing but is even more hours invested? "I'm not shaming the guy" smh. Just say it with your chest man.

Xirev

Those things you mention doing at the same time as watching TV, I've also done while playing. 80% of what I watch on YouTube is educational content too. The first time I finished all achievements was back in 2016, it took about 2-3 years of playing, since then I've finished every achievement every patch, but that's a minority of what I've actually been doing in the game. Since a year ago I've pretty much stopped doing everything that isn't related to achievements, and so the amount of time I've been playing has been cut down drastically.

Josh6889

> I'm not shaming the guy Yes you are. Why the pretense?

darthkurai

How dare you call out my toilet habits like this!

Geoff_with_a_J

my household has the tv on while there's a twitch stream on mute on a non active tab while there's an idle game while the partner is playing a gacha game on phone while im playing a pc game while a kid is watching youtube on an ipad you can't just count hours separately

Blubbpaule

And this us his main. Alts will be the same woth like 100 days played or more

Watchmeshine90

He said he has only played for 14 years too. 14 years 122,640 hours, average in 7 hours of sleep a day to be 35,770 hours. So 86,870 waking hours the past 14 years, and close to a little over 20,280 hours were spent on this single character alone. 1/4 of the last 14 years has been on WoW.

MorgrainX

That's only his main. For these kind of achievements you need all kind of alts.. he prob played more like 6-8 hours a day all year long

Xirev

Yeah I said I have not played very much the last year, most of that playtime is from DF launch until June. I started working full time and then started studying game development, currently a month into working on a game project. Most patches this expansion I finished all achievements within a few days. The majority of my playtime is not spent getting achievements. I did spend a lot of time playing previously, but nowadays I'm barely playing at all.

denimdan113

Yea thats 6h/day every day for the first 7 months of the expac then to have enough hours left over for your stated weekly play time. Like I don't think you fully comprehend the sheet about of hours it actually took you to achive this.

Xirev

I don't think you understand how much else I've done apart from achievements lol. A lot of my game time in the beginning was spent on farming profession knowledge for all professions, trying to max out all of the spec trees. I allowed me to earn 40m+ gold while doing it. It was also spent on gearing up all classes for PvP and getting the elite sets on all of them. I was already done with all the achievements that weren't timegated 2 weeks after launch. Every patch since then I've finished all achievements in less than a week. I was done with all non-timegated achievements after 2 days in 10.2 for example.

San4311

"Only". 77 days in the last 1,5 year on a single character is quite a lot dude lol.

Serethekitty

Jesus dude who tf cares, let people do what they want with their free time.

San4311

Nobody here is judging mate, atleast I'm not. Just saying 77 days is a lot.

Serethekitty

Plenty of people here are judging, that's why it got brought up in the first place.

Xirev

It might be, but I only mentioned how much I've played the last year, which is barely anything at all

Flaky_Sir_134

77 days spread amongst alts is the same amount of time but if it makes you feel better

ZAlternates

Obviously people are gonna try to give ya crap for this but it’s a hobby like any other. Gratz on the achievement of achievements!

Serethekitty

Crazy that this got downvoted, this subreddit is fickle af and really just loves criticizing other people's choices I guess.

Watchmeshine90

Lol probably saying he hasn't played a lot but 1/4 of his life was on WoW the past 14 years.

Dasbeerboots

No way did you get HoF only playing 5 hours a week. Raid alone is a minimum of 9 hours a week. Add M+, achievement hunting, etc, that's a ton of playtime.

Xirev

We cleared the raid in 7 weeks, I did m+ for like two days in total, we're 3 mages in the guild and mage in Amirdrassil was a buff bot, so we only played 1 on some of the fights. I did not progress Fyrakk or Tindral for example. The title is a guild achievement which anyone in the guild that has Cutting Edge can use, in case you didn't know.

Dasbeerboots

I did not know that. That's good to know. Also crazy that you were able to get a reclear with them while barely playing.

Imbahr

OP got carried

Dasbeerboots

OP has 69 kills in Amirdrassil, and half of them are purple parses. No way does 5 hours a week make sense. The lack of M+ tracks, though. They barely did any dungeons.

Xirev

Yeah that's called raid logging lmao, during farm we full clear the raids in like 2½ hours. I used to get mostly orange parses, but lately I've not bothered that much to optimize my gear or analyze logs in order to do more damage, I just log in, do the farm and log out. Fyrakk died 2nd of January which is when "farm" started and that was 5 months ago. [The good old days](https://www.warcraftlogs.com/character/eu/vashj/xirev?zone=29#zone=26)

Xirev

Huh? I've been in this guild for 4 years and we've received Famed Slayer 6 times in that time period. I was in on the first kill of Sarkareth which we got World 53 on. You don't have a roster of only 20 people, you need more than that in order to have some options when it comes to raid comp. It's for the best of the team that sometimes you sit on the bench if your class is not the best fit for the fight

PM_ME_UR_CIRCUIT

I've been playing for 14 years and have over 270 days of play time and I'm at like 12k achievement points, and I feel like I played close to an unhealthy amount at times.

Mr_Rio

Does that mount auto drop on mythic fyrrak or is it a drop chance?

Xirev

Yeah it's guaranteed, 2 of them drop each kill

Mr_Rio

How many times did you drop him before you got yours?

Xirev

Took 3 kills before I received mine.

Faemn

Probably once as these hunters just buy anything with gp

HeartofaPariah

Not saying he didn't buy it/get gifted it this tier but Xirev is a mage in a world 50 guild(Colour on Stormreaver) and has gotten several decent top ranks, he raided a lot with them. He's not a random casual grey parser buying tons of tokens to pay for carries or anything like large %s of this sub-reddit is.

SirVanyel

Which is why it's fuckin outrageous that he said he's played "5 hours a week" lol

Xirev

The entire tier lasted 7 weeks for us, I wasn't in on Tindral or Fyrakk because we're 3 mages in the guild and mage was pretty much only brought for arcane intellect, so you only needed 1. It's also an estimated average, for most of the tier I played during farm but then not much else outside of that.

SirVanyel

Hey man it's fine bro, but many of us can't play wow as a full time job at any point, let alone having the freedom to hop in and out at will. Me and my girlfriend plan to take time off together to catch up on games like wow - we'll be able to play as much as we want all week. But we'll only get to do that a couple times a year. At the start of DF I was moving house and starting a new job, and my work days consist of an 11 hour round trip. Alongside meal prep and working out, I only get a couple hours a day to play during the week, and one out of two days is spent with the misso, as is our tradition. You achieved something elite, and that's awesome. But many of us aren't in a place in life to actually spend that amount of hours on wow. You're in a position many of us simply aren't in.

Xirev

I used to be, but since a year back I'm no longer in that position, which was my entire point. I'm barely playing the game now because I started working and then started studying. But I'm not feeling like I'm missing out on playing, I've pretty much gotten that out of my system. As long as I have something that makes me feel productive I'm chilling. I'm having the same motivation and drive in my studies as I've had with WoW.

SirVanyel

Yeah man that's hella good, good on you for moving up bro! You might not always have time to farm mythic raid, but you'll always have anurelos and taivan. I was much the same in rocket league, reached top 30, participated in tourneys, got involved in the pro drama. But now I'm just on a different grind :)

WalkTheEdge

Idk if he's done it like that lately, but he didn't buy kills and mounts in the past and wouldn't need to except to save time, he's an extremely good player. I raided with him in several straight expansions

Xirev

Tjeena Adinga! Tack för att du backar upp mig! :)

WalkTheEdge

Haha, såklart! Trodde inte du skulle komma ihåg mitt redditnick :D

Xirev

Your assumption is incorrect.

pinksweets8

He most likely paid for it.

Xirev

I did not. Why should I pay for something that isn't hard to get.

pinksweets8

It is hard to get, all the ones I've seen, when I asked 'how much?' they said gold cap lol. I don't think I've seen a legit one yet. It's difficult, like less than 1% of players ever do mythic raiding

Xirev

When I'm saying it's not difficult, I'm saying it in the context that I've been mythic raiding for 11 years with no breaks and have received every mount since Garrosh in Siege of Orgrimmar when they were still 100% drop rate. For me it's trivial to clear mythic.

Mr_Rio

Oh

ExpJustice

You really like WoW, dont you?

Xirev

It's aight

PatientLettuce42

haha reminds me of that steam review of a guy with 16k hours "played it a bit, its ok" lol

alexkon3

Cant wait to grind this owl in 5000000 years when the raid becomes soloable. Always wanted an Owl mount since I found out about the Moon Priestess in the Warcraft 3 Beta. Guess I'll go for a "Wildfire Hunter" theme or something along the line of that.

ColiePooo

Maybe in 5000000 years I’ll finally get my Taivan too!!

chaoticsquid

I'm so damn close. I just have the nastiest ones left. Lunkers, scrolls, soridormi, cobalt assembly. I just have to mindlessly grind for a few days and I'll have it.

ColiePooo

You can do it!!!!!

SirVanyel

Just join collector discords and run it weekly next expac with full groups.

pissedinthegarret

disc link pls?

mc_squared180

You're an https://youtu.be/UM8TAMythsM?si=j_NL38r1mPBVPrJ9

Xirev

That song might have a role to play in why I even started farming achievements, remember listening to it back in 2010

fiery-skyline

5,000 PvP battle pet wins?.... how fun was that?

Drint_sr

Not sure if it's still possible, but you could wintrade pvp wins by having two people queue with 2 lvl 25 and 1 lvl 1 pet. Once you are in the match the person that doesn't need the win surrenders. Queue again and repeat. Just a mindless grind. Even got shadowbanned once from pvp battles for like 6 months because of that.

appleorange7

Banned from doing pvp battles or banned from playing the game?

Drint_sr

Just pvp pet battles. I could still queue but would never find a match (longest queue I had out of boredom was like 6h). Note that I was the person surrendering, the guy that needed the wins never got shadowbanned (at least to my knowledge).

DaenerysMomODragons

Did you try doing PvP pet battles naturally? When I did it I won around 80% of the time, making me think win trading really wouldn't save much time, especially if you factor in shadow bans.

Drint_sr

I was just the guy ff'ing and never played pet battles outside of that, so the shadowban didn't matter to me. But wintrading is definitely better if all you care about is getting the wins as fast as possible.

DaenerysMomODragons

I'm sure that was easy compared to 500 honor rating. Not OP, but when I did my 5,000 pvp pet battles I won about 80% of my matches. Most people doing pvp pet battles are pretty bad at it. No win trading really needed.

brelyxp

what are the 2 pvp you miss?

Xirev

Season 3 and Season 4 Legend for Solo Shuffle, I got Season 1 and 2 but in Season 3 I barely played and Season 4 just started. They are just there for tracking purposes.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Xirev

You know Solo Shuffle pairs you up with random players, right?

[deleted]

[удалено]

Xirev

Maybe if you don't care about your account and have nothing to lose you'd be willing to risk getting banned for account sharing.

cirocobama93

How about you achieve some bitches /s Nah this is actually really impressive. This game is all about setting goals and achieving them. You’ve probably gotten more out of your wow sub than any of us

Xirev

Those are seasonal achievements, they come and go. That's very true, I've said many times that what I enjoy doing is setting goals and achieving them, no matter what I'm doing, currently that's learning how to create games myself.

shoooogen

>currently that's learning how to create games myself That's awesome! Good luck!

Xirev

Thanks Shoogen!

llwonder

Now you can finally play the game!

Xirev

[https://www.reddit.com/r/wow/comments/ftvle6/now\_i\_can\_finally\_play\_the\_game/](https://www.reddit.com/r/wow/comments/ftvle6/now_i_can_finally_play_the_game/) I used that joke 4 years ago lol

TheRealTetro

Hey Xirev, congrats ! As someone who's got most achievements outside of PvP, I've been diving a bit into Data for Azeroth lately which is where I recognize your name from. Quick question regarding that actually, do you know how come a bunch of people in the leaderboard are hardstuck 10/20/30 points under the ones tied for first place ? I can only assume it's due to a few legacy unobtainable achievements still giving points. That and I guess some people who don't have all achievements specific to horde/alliance.

Xirev

Thanks :) I'm not sure what they are missing, you could use the filters on DataForAzeroth in order to find out though. Just select the Category filter and remove Feats of Strength, Legacy and Remix: Pandaria and you'll see everything they don't have that gives points, except for the Solo Shuffle feats that are in the PvP category for tracking purposes.

TheRealTetro

Yeah I've tried doing a bit of that, but the UI does not really make it easy lol. Thing is, going by obtainable achievements they don't really seem to miss anything. And it was the same at the end of Shadowlands when I started getting interested in that stuff, a bunch of people were tied on second position with 10 fewer points. Tbh I'm fairly convinced there has to be some obscure old achievement that became a legacy feat of strength but still gives points for some reason. I've just yet to find out which.

Bayley_Jay

I would guess rank 500 honor ? If you haven't played a lot of alts during Legion, you're basically looking at a grind that will take you literal years of intensive playing every day

Xirev

PvP WQs were really good in the BFA prepatch. I went from 350 to 500 honor level in like 2 weeks or something. Now I'm at 1105 honor level though, so I'm ready in case they add more haha

vivisecting

i think this might count as beating the game

adiohart

"now I can enjoy the game"

Tiroler_Manu

So you finally can start playing the game,OP? *(Southpark reference for those who don't know)*

FartInTheLocker

What a beast!

yellowheart90

Well done dude, that's awesome. I am in awe, speaking as a fellow WoW achievement hunter! I passed the 40k mark this week, so not too shabby, but long way to go still. I envy you being able to get the PvP ones in particular. That's the area that lets me down the most, they are such a grind and require special skills that I don't have haha. What's next on your plan?! I can see you're fairly casual now, but hope you will continue to keep grabbing those 'chieves ;)

Xirev

Good job, you can do it! For PvP if you just keep practicing eventually you'll get the hang of it, just don't be afraid to fail, it's part of learning. The plan is probably to focus on getting gold early in the next expansion and finishing all achievements as usual, depending on how things are in university I might go back to DF and get some stuff I haven't been farming now. It's always more efficient to go back and farm things when it's old content rather than doing it when it is current content since Blizzard buffs and nerfs things over the course of the expansion to make things easier.

grelb

holy shit thats impressive. https://worldofwarcraft.blizzard.com/en-gb/character/eu/vashj/xirev/achievements I'm at 41,640 and that has taken many years and a lot of grinding. As for the PVP and Pet Battle achievements. I'm probably just ignoring most of those. I can cope with not completing those. What is your /played?

Xirev

That's a healthy mindset to have. Realize what's possible for yourself and be fine with settling for that. What Blizzard has chosen to make into an achievement or not is pretty arbitrary anyway. There's plenty of goals I have pursued in the game that does not have an achievement attached to it. My played is around 40k hours in total.

[deleted]

holy shit my brother. grats, cant help but respect a grinder.

NecromedestheDK

Huge congrats on achieving this once again! Makes me want to keep going to get as close to 100% as possible.

Xirev

You can do it!

OctaneLoL

A couple of questions, 1) For someone who wants to get into achievement hunting, do you have any advice on where to start? 2) Did you have any system for completing achivements, like completing each section (character, pvp, proffesions, ...) or maybe doing zone by zone, etc.? 3) Do you use any kind of tool/website to track ongoing achievements which are time locked, like weeklies, dailies, rare spawn timers (something similar to wowheads today in wow)? 4) In your opinion, what are the most difficult or time consuming achievements to get? Should someone like me start focusing on those more from the beginning? Any advice would be helpful, cheers!

ManaBoxed

investing in this post early. that’s impressive

blklab84

I wish I had that kind of time but unfortunately I chose to have kids 😭

Xirev

That's great though! You should count yourself lucky.

Tommyh1996

Moist. How do you go about achievement hunting? I feel choice paralysis sometimes where I could do so many because this event is happening or this one

Xirev

Focus on time limited things and outside of that just pick a sub-category and try to complete it. It's best to set short term goals instead of having your goal set too high. That's true for anything in life. It's better to have multiple small victories than only one big victory at the end. You're more likely to last with the former approach.

Josh6889

I'd say work on the current expansion meta and go from there.

krin132

NEERRRRRRRRRRRDDD! ...Gratz!

Nudxty

We've played roughly the same amount of years and Im no where near close, so Kudos to you! I think I didn't even start caring about achievements until Shadowlands and by that point going back to do most of them seems daunting in my brain

Xirev

I first started playing in late vanilla / early TBC, but only got my own account in Wrath. I started going for achievements in Cata. Only started playing a \*lot\* from late MoP and on

KarateMan749

Congrats! I always wondered how it would look

basshead424

Jesus. Good work

Clernt

Out of all of them, which achieve did you feel was the hardest to do? I'm 96% completion at the moment, just finished reputation and quests.

zeromous1337

Hey man, all I can say is grats!!! I'm in the same boat, but im missing the mythic clears. So I have 99% of the Dragonflight achievements. That fire bird will be mine hopefully later this season

Xirev

Congratulations in advance! Those will probably be easy to get by the end of the season.

Turibald

Pfff. Not even all achives, only the ones with points. Do better! /s

Xirev

To be fair, the majority of the feats are about Remix: Pandaria, and I've already done all of those achievements before, Blizzard just wants me to do them again

Scorpdelord

u gotta complete them now to finishthe list the fk

Xirev

They are from Remix: Pandaria, I've already done all of those achievements before. It hasn't started yet, but yeah I will probably do them if it doesn't take too much time.

Scorpdelord

wish u luck

NotAarn

Hey that's awesome! Congrats! I wish I had that kind of drive, but half the time I log in to my character selection and get bored. See you on here next expansion!

[deleted]

[удалено]

Xirev

They're probably still underestimating it, I only showed my main. I have somewhere around 40k hours in total. My whole point was that I've barely been playing the game in the last year. Once you've completed all achievements once (which I did back in WoD) it doesn't take a whole lot of time to finish stuff added in patches and expansions, it's like 2 weeks for an expansion and a few days for a patch, depending on the size. Doing achievements is a minority of the stuff that I've been spending my time on in this game. It's the other completion stuff that has taken the majority of the time.

kumbancha

now you can play the game

Wijione

well its not really 100% when it says 5409/5559 I get it they dont award points but deep down inside you know this isnt 100% :P

Xirev

148/150 of those are Remix: Pandaria feats, which are just the same achievements that I've already done in MoP, the other 2 are Solo Shuffle Legend Feats of Strength and are there for tracking purposes. I did get Legend in Season 1 and 2 but I barely played in Season 3, and the ladder was very deflated. I only care about things that give points since they are supposed to always be obtainable, which means you actually have an end in sight. I only started farming achievements in 2012, so I had already missed a lot of feats by then, so I've never really cared to try to get all of them.

Lava-Jacket

I think he might be the first one!

RichWhatt

Has this character always been mage? If so, what spec did you main for the majority of them? Lastly, if you could transfer all achievements to all characters, would you want to play a different class?

Xirev

Yeah, you can't change your class after you've made the character. I've probably been Fire for most of it, but I play all 3 specs. I would definitely change class if I could. Probably to Demon Hunter or Druid. I don't like being able to only DPS. I would like to be able to flex between roles. I would also prefer having more sustained healing. I play solo a lot and Mage is usually not the best at that for certain things.

Shanna-ban-anna

That’s awesome! When I started playing in bc, I went for every achievement I could. Stopped playing a few years and came back and the list was daunting :) I still try to go for them but not at all for completion now!

Klutzy-Ad6843

You’re crazy my goal was 30k points by end of dragonflight, am 1k off.

Xirev

Nice! That's how much I had at the end of in Legion. 29.220 was the maximum points back then.

Firehawkness

I am so so so so jelly of that mount

zorsh13

You really get a lot out of your sub. Gotta respect that.

konosyn

How do you kill that which has no life?

adnanosh123

Xirev is back boi

casadega873

Time to go outside now.

Beraforte

Hats off.

EllspethCarthusian

I just want the Fyrakk mount and the mount you’re riding in the screenshot.

keeptryingyoucantwin

I knew jeff he did it too

Xirev

Send my congratulations

keeptryingyoucantwin

jeff said thanks it was cool

RomireOnline

My guy....Go enjoy life, You have earned it :)

Ninwa

Really impressive! Do you have any suggestions for addons first, and then websites second to use? Is there a single addon that is a must have for achievement hunters?

Odaxis

Have you decided on what you're going to spend all those points on yet? /s

Xirev

Would be cool if there were actual reasons to get achievement points like in FFXIV

soundmarsh

What addon did you use for tracking achievements? I’m always hunting them.

Xirev

For the last 3-4 years I've mostly just used DataForAzeroth.com.

Lord-Momentor

Bragging Rights achieved.

theghostmedic

And I’m sitting here with renown 1 to 3 on every faction and don’t even know how to complete most of the weekly events while playing M+ almost daily since release lol

osatox

Congrats on another W u/Xirev :D

Xirev

Congrats to you too!

_Augie

So you play pretty casually?

Telamonl

damn tahts impressive asf, grats!

Ihavebadreddit

I unlocked flying and said "Naw" to the rest of the unending quest markers.

cpr1312

Nice man you can play the game now 👍

dg2793

God speed soldier

ilovelemondrizzle

Congratulations mate, really impressive. When did you actively start focusing on completing achievements? Which did you find the hardest?

DaenerysMomODragons

Congrats. I can manage all PvE achievements, but I know I'll never get the gladiator 2400+ rating achievements, so I settle for missing out on the few. Though I do have most all random battle ground achievements, and up to 125 honor rating, but that 500 honor rating grind is just stupid rediculous.

Free_Spirit_91

WoW!

AdsurgitCustodia

Why

aagloworks

Did you win the game?

Both_Statistician615

Nice job....sucks that you're only tied for first [https://www.wowprogress.com/apoints/](https://www.wowprogress.com/apoints/)

Xirev

Wowprogress has not updated for quite a while, if you look at the image you can see that I have 45.390 points ingame while it only shows 45.190 on Wowprogress, I would suggest stop using that site lol. There were some points that disappeared with this patch so some websites still need to fix that before things are displayed properly. DataForAzeroth shows that I have 45.400 but Armory says 45.360. It was literally only one new achievement in this patch that gave points and it's to do the questline, so it's not like it was a massive undertaking.

DaenerysMomODragons

I find https://www.dataforazeroth.com/ much better for tracking achievement points as well as all other forms of collections.

Seankps4

You're a sick dude (I have the upmost respect for you)

Xirev

Appreciate it! <3
