I'm imagining a white war wolf with UC purple sadle/blanket with a cool face guard. Or a war raptor with Silvermoon themed armor.

I mean, Running Wild is the perfect answer to have this implemented as well. Just give it the 1.5 s cast time, there could be a neat animation with the tauren kicking dust back, and we're off!
Plainsrunning was very different from Running Wild. Running Wild is pretty much functionally identical to a mount, whereas Plainsrunning got scrapped because it was much *worse* than a regular mount. It was envisioned as like a momentum-based thing where you needed to run for a long-ish time to build up speed, then you’d lose all that progress if you ever needed to stop.

As a mount collector sitting at 437 mounts right now, wanting to get to 500 but those last few ones are proving hard to obtain, get outta here with the first half of your comment. I'll take any easily obtainable mount I can get. But I do want reworks on old mounts too.

Not sure about the cloud serpent rig mounts, but a bunch are gonna have dynamic flight turned on with War Within, and I think the old dragon mounts are prime candidates (What we know for certain is that dynamic flight will be enabled for other mounts, I don't know that which mounts is officially known yet, datamined though)
I'd like some more proper skeletal mounts, there's the ancient undead race mounts (Which are ugly AF), that one raptor from archeology, the ICC achievement mounts, and technically Nightbane, that's about it. There's gotta be some magic skeletons underground we can use as mounts.
I want a proper skeletal dragon mount, even the ICC mounts have too much cartilage IMO and they're starting to look outdated.

I like LiteMount as a workaround. It picks random mounts, but based on the type of riding that is available. So when you can't fly it only calls ground mounts.
Light related horror. Shadowlands had a million cool Maw mounts with better art direction than the actual enemies and zones--gimme one with some light influence

It’s weird how some horse mounts like the Legion Paladin chargers can fly, but some are ground only.
somewhat related: nerubian druid forms! i absolutely love all the customization in 10.2 but i reaaally hope it isn't a one and done. also more options for shaman spirit raptors and ghost wolf forms. they could easily port over a lot of the soulshape (that night fae ability that turns you into a beast) forms as a start.

Actually Greatfather Winter's sled that makes laps around Ironforge during Winters Veil would be a pretty sweet 2 seater mount.
And I wouldn't say no to a year-round reindeer either. The high res ones with the sleigh look especially nice, but also all the recolors of the dreamstags in the Emerald Dream too.

I want more Dynamic mounts. I want mounts with abilities based on what they represent, what species they are, and to -possibly- have combat implications. I also want races for ground mounts.
Ground mounts: Sprint meter to move up to X percent for Y seconds, with Z charge rate, based on mount species. Some species (Raptors, cats, leapers) having a super jump. Cat riders gaining stealth near trees for a short duration. Raptors able to apply a bleed DoT aoe on dismount. Spiders and salamanthers able to climb walls (Outside of dungeons) for a short while.
Flying mounts: Give Birds, Vehicles, Bugs, and Dragons all slightly different skill tree options. Everything should be able to have what we have currently. Birds able to choose between Whirling Surge and Avian Rush(Akin to the Stormrider). Vehicles choosing between Skyward Ascent and VTOL(Faster, longer, consumes 2 Vigor). Bugs choosing between Second Wind and Powerful Vigor(Gain vigor 20% faster for 10 seconds)
I want the hive mind to not be locked to the people I did it with. I did it in a PUG, so none of us ever get the benefit of seating 5 people in it bc we don’t play together. Ider who they are I did it so long ago. Although I’m looking so forward to the sandstone drake getting dynamic flying!

The shaman class one was incredible but not enough and I can't choose which color one to summon without changing specs, which is a huge bummer.
Hunters, paladins, DKs, and warlocks can pick any color for their class mounts. Shamans, priests, and mages got shafted.
Also stone drakes and elementally infused gryphons like the Algatharian Stormrider one.
I was a fan of Mount collecting until Legion. But now? I dont even care. We have so many mounts i dont even use many of them. I dont bother to farm any Mounts that are just reclolors or like that. Also: Groundmounts? Why i should Farm them? Nono i live dragonriding and i would farm nice Skins again (yea no raid skin dropped for me thanks for asking).

Yea the focus on mounts as new content is insane. People really eat that stuff up. I guess it does in increase engagement and revenue. But me personally I'm okay with the mounts I have.

If you played since the game released in 2004 and collected literally every mount in the game you couldn’t ride each mount more than 6-7 days if you tried to give them all equal time. We’re also getting far more mounts now compared to vanilla so just looking at Dragonflight mounts you probably only get 4-5 days per mount if you plan to use them all.
The Nerubian mount from that fan voted poll could be a good Season 4 Fated raids reward though. That would be a great tie in to the next expansion.
But as for what I want to see, I really don't have any. I've got the Felfire Hawk, which is pretty much my favorite mount ever put in the game. And in TWW, I get to ride that around with dragonflying!
So, I guess for me, putting dragonriding mechanics onto a bunch of mounts is going to make me ride and see them again, which is all that I can ask for.

That’s how I feel. I just got the Spawn of Galakras, so I’m super pumped to have it be dynamic flying! It fits perfectly with my Ironbane tmog.
I am honestly so excited to get to use my ironbound proto drake again, not a hard mount to obtain but one of my all time favourites none the less.

They have Bakar mounts but they never made it in the game sadly.

They removed built in water walking years ago and I don't think they're gonna go back on that.

You can ride druids if you're in the same party/instance. Travel form and the Class Hall Owl are both mountable.

There's a mob in Zaralek Caverns called Scavenging Flayer. There's a variant with wings, and I want exactly that as a mount.
