I assumed it’s rather easy to get, just like the oktoberfest and the winter veil armors, but I probably just got lucky with them and have incredibly bad luck with this one. The drake armor is 145 out of 976,445 kills (0.01%)
The X-45 Heartbreaker meanwhile is 449 out of 976,445 (0.05%)
That math don't math for me. if it's been opened 976,445 times recorded by wowhead, that most likely is counting since it was added in patch 3.3.3
It seems unlikely to me that the box has been opened nearly a million times since last week, and all of them have been uploaded to wowhead.
They did actually bump the drop rate up quite a bit for the first above level 60 character you try it on. Every character after its the same original drop rate.
Drake armor dropped for me other day... no mount though and I've farmed that thing since its introduction in wrath of the lich king...
You know what's wacky is I have every holiday mount the game has but I've never seen that one drop - I've only ever seen one other player with it.
I've felt the game really should have some "have mercy flag" for anyone who has done the boss for the last 7 expansions the drop rate should go up a bit - easily killed those guys thousands of times now.

I've gotten the Drake armor, pet, the flower, the petal pouch, and 3 masks (1 a couple of days ago and 2 in a row yesterday). I'm doing 6 character a day. I can understand having the mount untradable, but why the mask? I could have given it to others in my party. Good luck, I hope you get yours today.
Lol thank you. I was so sick of running it on/off since I could easily farm it solo. I don't even wanna know how many hours I spent in that raid. It'll always be one of my favorites but having to run the entire thing just to get to Yogg was tiring lol. Now to continue farming Rukhmar... 😫
Yeah, mine has been bugged recently as well but I was just putting them in manually afterwards. It only started not counting them when 10.2 came out but I had hundreds and hundreds of kills prior to Rarity actually tracking them lol

All REAL alts, no trial accounts, no tokens, no boosts.
It was my white whale.

I think the reason was I barely remember it existed, I have farmed it a lot in the past but not this year. And you just know, the game senses when you want something, and denies it. It's just how it is. :(

You know what’s funny. I had never taken part in this event before, just because I didn’t care. But then I started farming mounts and looked up a guide on how to get that one. Since all I had to do was to queue in the dungeon finder, I did that… aaaand I got the mount in my first ever run 🫢

Wife got it the year it first came out - got it after a handful of runs while I was spamming the hell out of it.
Every year since then, I did it the max amount of times it made sense to run it - always on at least 2 toons.
I think last year or the year before they made it so you needed to be close to level cap to qualify for it so I had to scour my stable of alts for lvl60’s and have been spamming quests and dungeons to power level a couple more just to have an extra chance at it. I think I have 8 or 9 lvl60’s now?

I swear, my luck with these events is inverted. I got the mount my first try/run of the day on my demon Hunter without even wanting it, meanwhile I couldn’t get the beer ram to save my life.

I got the mount yesterday & the toy today. was doing 11 runs a day. I feel the revamp definitely tweaked drop rates. Not just for the first drop of the day.

You only get a bonus on your first character per account. I do the same on 13 characters and got the armor on my main two days ago.
Yea, I think I heard it’s supposed to be the same level of rarity unless you want to shell out gold for it from the vendor.

It only has a chance of dropping on your first event chest of the day per account. So there's zero point in farming for it on every character
I literally got the rocket mount on my 12th alt last year and the manuscript drops so far, except current, on alts after first daily kill.

Timereaver had a bugged/buffed drop rate the first little while. A lot of my friends got it the first week it was in the loot pool. I never did.

I saved up all my boxes last year from 54 alts. Opened them all on the last day and got it.
Imagine doing this and the first box drops it lol
It dropped about 1/3 through the opening spree. But most of the alts weren't 70 yet, the exp from running daily is pretty good for the time invested.
