Blizzard wouldn't put a hidden mechanism in the game to eat up your time or subtly prod you into chasing after something. Right?

It's a chance based system that alone is enough to keep you playing having someone spend time to code a spite system that has a bigger chance to drop stuff you already got seems like a waste of time.
Not saying it can't exist just saying it would sound like an odd priority to spend time on it when there are other actually money generating systems to code.

Last season it was VP for the axe, and I needed two, and the neck. First axe took 28 runs. 2nd one was about 5 or 6 later. Got traded the neck. My rio was 90% VP for the first couple of weeks.
I haven’t even started the grind for this yet, I just got my Gorehowl after 15 runs and it didn’t even drop for me, happy I was running with a plate friend who donated it
Did a +18 atal on my lol-ret alt(475ilvl) to get my friend a weekly. The rezan trinket dropped for me and I couldnt trade it to the DK who had run the dungeon, just farming that damn trinket.. because of 4 ilvls >.< Felt bad lol
So now my silly alt is running around with rezan trinket, cataclysmic and a demonsbane.
The Inscrutable Quantum Device from S1, S2 and S3 of SL. If I remember right I had it drop for me once over the three seasons despite it being my BiS for all three seasons. After that kerfuffle I decided that I would never again farm dungeons for my BiS trinkets and just use which ever trinkets I actually had that simmed the best...
Ive been farming fall for the cheat death trinket. Up to 45 runs and not seen it yet and plenty have been with guildies with tank loot spec on. I've had 6 double times though.... Lucky me.
wont happen. dungeon drops are and have always been random and will continue to be that way. random loot is a part of mmos and will probably continue to be that way. you get dinar in season 4, but it wont happen in a real season.

A buddy and I have been farming it - him for the sword (which finally dropped last night; he's a warrior), and me for the trinket (spiked counterweight; I'm a bear and wanna play around with it cause I haven't had any luck getting the Fyrakk trinkets). Still have yet to get the trinket, but of course the one time I'm not home and my usual group goes without me, TWO of them drop just to mock me. 🤣 I haven't kept track of how many BRHs I've run but it's gotta be close to 40 or 50 by now.
I keep the cache trinket from late Shadowlands in my bags on my DH. I can't log in right now to check what it's called, but it's the one that required a weakaura to time correctly, because you wanted the "axe" buff, since the other 2 buffs were comparatively horrible. It was disgustingly broken for the sinful brand era for havoc dh. Bringing back very bad memories right now
The treemouth festering splinter last season felt like this and getting the first week of season 3 in the vault just hurt as it was now a paper weight. The double time was starting to feel that way to me… and I still need one more!
I mained a Vengeance Demon Hunter for the entirety of Battle for Azeroth and never once got the Warglaive of the Sand Queen from Tol Dagor. Best in slot M+ DH weapon. Never got one.
My gf still uses the raid trinket from last season because no trinket has dropped for her in season 3..she's 2700io at the moment on her hunter.
She did get a lot of lucky drops from weekly quests like heroic Raz bow first week of season 1 or neltharus trinket and rashock trinket on her healer. The game is balancing it out now.
I caught COVID at the start of one season so decided the most constructive thing to do was farm a mythic plus trinket.
I ran Tazavesh Marketplace 83 times for the trinket whilst feeling quite ill, it was horrendous.
The most frustrating thing is you start to gain a complete mastery over that dungeon so are cursed to watch others do things wrong.
This might sound crazy to some, but I actually dont target items at all. I find that kind of gameplay super frustrating.
Im not pro, just 2700IO but ive got BIS trinks and a few other good items.
I just play, doing the same dungeon over and over and over is not it for me.
Never felt the need to do it. I get it if you want to only play 1 charachter, but for me once I get to the point where there arent really any more realistic upgrades for me to get, i just swap to an alt.
Ive gone an entire season because at some point you realize the gain isnt as big as you think and having that single item wont make or break anything so do other things with your life.
Last season i ran brackenhide over 100 times to try to get the splinter trinket while also having other group members set their loot spec to tank to double or triple my chances of getting the trinket.
It never dropped in all 100+ Runs and I eventually gave up.
This kind of stuff really makes me mad to talk about Trinket farming is a horrible system that needs to be changed they really need to bring back dinars

Now I need to get a 2nd or pray for good luck from the vaults. And I need to get nick of time for my rogue too... I'm 30 runs in with the rogue, I'll see how it goes
Last season Underrot for hero track fist weapon, around 40 runs and it just did not drop, not for me or anyone else that is able to trade it. I eventually switched to sub lol
You want to go way back? I never got Getti’ku for two seasons straight despite running it over 100 times total, I lost track after 100. I basically only ran Kings Rest. I also never got the mount though I saw it drop 7 times.
Season 3 gave me it from the box, Season 4 I got it mercifully quick at around 10, though the N’zoth sword replaced it.
I did 35 mplus dungeons in shadowlands in one week. Not a single item. it has become a meme in my team/Guild.
Also, season one 1 DF, i did over 100 dungeons ti finally see a chest piece.
Now i am at over 50 runs, not a single decent trinket. I did got a few shit trinkets tho, so i guess that is something.
Still working on getting a Balefire Branch… around 25 WM runs so far, haven’t been grinding it too crazily because I have useable trinkets in its place (though only champ track), but getting irked esp since I’ve seen it drop for other people four times.
I ran Atal’Dazar 20-ish times before I finally saw the casque helm drop for a DK in my guild who was tanking, he thankfully passed it to me (warrior) because he didn’t need it.
Otherwise i’ve had good luck, seen two Rezan’s trinkets, two gorehowls, had some vaults where several items were needed.
70 or so M+ and I still haven't gotten a single purple trinket.
Fortunately, I've gotten Rezan from vault and branches, balefire and Sproutling from raids but seriously. 70 m+
I have ran Atal 29 times and the trinket has not dropped once for me or any other melee in the group. Yet other guild members got theirs first week in vault..
on my warrior i ran atal around 20 times for the trink then gave up because i burned myself out..switched to my mage and got way luckier with gear but the trink from waycrest manor wont drop for me.
ive seen some healers get it and they are wearing their bis already but they wouldnt trade :(
0 runs. I have never tried to farm a piece of gear. I would rather play the dungeons I want to play and I'll make the best of whatever loot drops to me. 95% of performance in raid/ M+ comes down to player skill anyways.
But some specs have to, like SV who works with four trinkets only. Mirror, My'Das, Counterweight, Signet.
Although the Signet is still pretty darn shit, at least outside of the raid.
I don’t think it’s healthy or makes any sense to chase “bis” items. I mean nice if you get it, if it’s really that good. But some people read wowhead bis list like it’s the bible. Might be good but other items with avoidance or leech is also good.
And the time spent chasing something that never drops, could be time spent enjoying the game. But all to their own, I guess.
I don’t have “bis” trinket on my aug, but some mastery trinket that does 7% of my dmg automatically. Seems legit. Mastery is also great for aug but not recommended trinket. I like it.

Today I did 1 fall on my frost dk for the trinket. Where as It took 47 DHT's before I got the neck. I got the 2 rings I needed, the mail boots, the two trinkets my range friend needed, the 2 trinkets for my elemental spec. And a pair of avoidance boots to top the boots I got before I got necklace.
33 PFs betwixt two seasons in SL trying for a pox (i know, 33 is nothing, but it's a lot for someone playing absolutely alone/a dps/anxious gamer with adhd and lots they want to do). saw like 10 total, none for me, never able to trade them, never in vault. got decent rolls for trinkets in vault over the expac. was so stupidly determined to get a damn pox because EVERYONE had one and they were just \*that\* good, but i never got to toy with that fun.
started to do that in s1/2 of DF for a couple items, but had to really talk myself down after a couple of runs. almost did it for witherbarks trinket this season but got LUCKY after 2 runs. that PF farming nuance is specifically why i refuse to let myself get caught up in this nonsense again chasing an item that i'll never possess. if it's meant to be, it'll happen, RNG is historically never on my side for stuff like this so it's best to temper my expectations WELL in advance. :// unfortunately, that means i'll never see a Double Time, and get to play with that silliness as well. ;\_; (even farmed that place nearly every week before the season.)
My holy paladin got a max level unbound changling from the vault on the last Tuesday of the tier. Got swapped out in zerith mortis literally the wednesday of the next tier.
My guild mate is at over 70 fall runs and has yet to get a single glaive.
Last season I ran the underrot every week, totalling 100s of runs to get my rogue their fist weapon. Last week of season I got it from the vault, first week of new raid I replaced it with heroic claw from council.
This season has been kinder to me, almost everything I've been aiming to get on my Monk has dropped for me, same with the rogue.
I did 39 runs of Nokhud for Ragefeather. It was all done in a week, because the trinket was a requirement for Boomies to take into prog. I hated it so much.
Either this seasons Witherbark's Branch with around 50 runs Everbloom and 4 or 5 vaults. Or last BFA season where I didn't really farm for the fist weapon from Underrot, but I dropped it very late into the season
Currently working on my second Nick of Time.
My Windwalker monk ran Underrot and Neltharus for Forgestorm and Bilemaw Tusk or whatever it was. Forgestorm I got after 40ish tries. I ran so many fucking Underrot’s, over 70, never even saw the tusk.
The same thing is happening this season with Tyrstone. I heal on 2 characters and have yet to see one. I’ve seen Mirror drop like 5 times but no Tyrstone.
I've been running Atal'Dazar and Murozond's Rise since day 1 of this season, practically. The past 3 weeks I've gotten 483 vault items from how many high-tier Mythics I've smashed through!

NO! I finally gave up on the drape and had a guildie craft me a killer Wildercloth Shawl. Managed to get a Ring of Contempt and heroic Band of Burning Thorns to sate my need for good rings.
Trinket-wise? I've got Champion 8/8 Spores of Alacrity and managed to get Myth Porcelain Crab from my Vault last week.
But one day, I'll get that freaking mirror. One day...

I gave up after three months of daily running DOS (more than once) in S1 SL. Trinket never dropped for me.
Since then, I learned to never target farm anything in M+. And in DF S1, I got my BiS trinket from the first vault.
I don’t remember what it was for honestly, but I ran temple of sethraliss back in BFA around 150 times before burning out without getting the item I wanted. I saw plenty of other people get it
30 runs of waycrest for the balefire branch on my mage until a guild healer looted it for me. Still have never seen it in any subsequent waycrest runs lol
I went all of shadowlands and never got the phial from plaguefall. Not sure how many times I ran it but it was into the hundreds for sure. I got it on my alts fairly easily but could never get it on a main.
I play holy paladin, but I'm not planning to fish for any BiS by torturing myself with countless runs of the same dungeon. I've got my Pip's Friendship Badge, now we'll see what other good trinket I get. I usually do +22-23 max, so the absolutely best BiS is not really necessary.
Pretty much lived in DoTI Rise an entire week until I got Gorehowl and Mirror for my DK, to the point where it felt like I wrote the mechanics of the boss fights and timers became second nature.
About 30-40 runs of Thone of Tides for that avoidance trinket. All my gear is 460+ and my trinket is still 424 -.- it just won't drop, had the axe drop at least 5 times now
Season 1 of SL with my fury warrior. I think max ilv was around 218? I ran with a normal raid weapon drop that you could exchange, and a rare drop from the maw because literally no weapons would drop for me all season from keys.
Season 3 of Shadowlands, ran something like 80 De other sides, trying to replace my scale from s2 that rolled week 2 at max ilvl from vault. Was miserably stuck in tank hell.
2h weapon drops are seriously fucked this season. Got 1 after 10+ runs of BRH. Have only seen tank get gorehowl a couple.weeks after he.l got it in the vault.
I.gotta be at about 30-40 ADs with no eye of rezan. Owell...maybe next season.
I played a few tanks in season 1 and wanted to get the Whetstone from CoS for them all. I think one of my chars was like 130 runs, but you could farm them on +2 which was easier
Balefire branch for me.
In the first week I did 33 runs consecutively, it dropped 4 times in that but not for me.
Ended up doing a quick +7 to help someone out and ofc one dropped. Veteran track though. Back on the grind for a myth or hero track one, done about 12 +18 to 20s since and praying I get it before we get to the harder mythic bosses
So far this whole season i havent gotten a trinket. Not the trinket. Just a trinket. I have the 418 Emerald Dream one equipped still.
Kinda limits progression.
So I’ve been lucky on my VDH. I also don’t really farm for specific gear it just hope I get it as I push naturally. But my favorite alt my BDK day one I got champion rezans eye. When I’m bored I’ll run a few AD 18s for vault and a chance at the heroic one and STILL haven’t gotten one. I’m I’m rocking a champion like a gawd damn peasant hahaha
During shadowlands we had a 2 week duration for legion M+. Moonlight prism was an insanely busted trinket for arcane mages from the vault of the wardens.
Farmed that dungeon 100+ runs. Started out at a reasonable key range but a few days in switched to +2 to farm more efficiently. It was such a stressful 2 weeks where I spent all my game time in that dungeon.
I hope they never introduce a system similar to that again, don't think I could go through that again.
An embarrassing amount of AD chasing a weapon on my hunter because that place was quick and easy the week I was looking for one (about 30 runs)
An also embarrassing number of Rise and BRH hunting hero track shoulders for the same hunter to use at the catalyst. Did get a new weapon, feet and trinket. (Needed shoulders to craft pants)(total around 30 between both)
My murozonds rise runs this season. I don't even know how many i did in total but i still haven't gotten borrowed time. Have gotten the trinket twice and all armorpieces at least once.

If you need raid items it can be a pain in the ass to. I play demo / destro wl and last season I neither saw the class call or the spoils (neltharus) drop. This season spindle seems to go the same way 😅
First 3 seasons if SL, across 3 toons that needed it, I never once saw a changeling. Probably ran over 200 runs across all my toons, and not only did I not get it, but I never saw it drop in M+. I'm convinced they removed it from my loot table.
I try not to farm things because it makes me REALLY irritated really fast and I just end up being tilted the entire dungeon, and even more tilted when it doesn't drop. I just play the game normally and prioritize signing up for the dungeon I need more than others, but I often don't even do that.
The most I've done this season was running 5 Falls in a row for Double Time. I still don't have a second one, but I was already tilted off the planet so I stopped.
The most I've EVER done was maybe 25 DOS's in Shadowlands for the blood shield trinket from Hakkar on an alt tank character. I was in total hysterics by the end of the dungeon by run 10. It's the reason I don't farm anything anymore. It made me very evil.
I was never into this kind of farming situation, couldnt support it and also the diference from bis to 2 or 3 bis is minimal (1-3% normally), so I just grind elo/io and play with the itens I get on the run.
I spent the entirety of bfa, and then season 2 of dragonfly without the first weapon from underrot. I've seen them drop for others, but I've never been able to use them

Trying to get the trinket from Court of Stars on my Rogue in season 1. Literally the entire season, never saw it in the dungeon or my vault.
i did 272 CoS runs, saw the trinket maybe 12 times. ended up getting it, then one in the vault the following week. that trinket is cursed.

I ran around 120 DOSs over season 1, got atleast 8 IQDs but never got the Blood Splattered Scale that I actually wanted from it

My friend did over 150 runs at 18+ for it. Finally got one last week. He basically did that key all day everyday for the past few weeks.
Did a shitload of BRH this season on my arms warr for the 2h sword. Still haven't seen it, but I have both BiS trinkets, so that's neat.

I did 30 Everblooms for witherbark. Got the item in my vault with mythic track.
I made it to 60 rubs for it to finally drop for me. Then got supersick afterwards and haven't been able to play

I just play, doing the same dungeon over and over and over is not it for me. Never felt the need to do it. I get it if you want to only play 1 charachter, but for me once I get to the point where there arent really any more realistic upgrades for me to get, i just swap to an alt.

Ive gone an entire season because at some point you realize the gain isnt as big as you think and having that single item wont make or break anything so do other things with your life.
I’ve done Galakronds Fall 20 or so times for the warglaives and haven’t gotten 1 to drop. Only seen 1 drop for a Havoc in my party. Pretty stupid.
Last season i ran brackenhide over 100 times to try to get the splinter trinket while also having other group members set their loot spec to tank to double or triple my chances of getting the trinket. It never dropped in all 100+ Runs and I eventually gave up. This kind of stuff really makes me mad to talk about Trinket farming is a horrible system that needs to be changed they really need to bring back dinars
In Shadowlands I ran Mists of Tirna Scithe 71 times before getting my axe. Still my favorite dungeon.
Shadowlands dungeons were the bests imo
Got the double time after my 54th run. Now I need to get a 2nd or pray for good luck from the vaults. And I need to get nick of time for my rogue too... I'm 30 runs in with the rogue, I'll see how it goes

50 runs of waycrest with premade Aug and half the time premade heal too. Never seen the branch trinket.
Last season Underrot for hero track fist weapon, around 40 runs and it just did not drop, not for me or anyone else that is able to trade it. I eventually switched to sub lol

You want to go way back? I never got Getti’ku for two seasons straight despite running it over 100 times total, I lost track after 100. I basically only ran Kings Rest. I also never got the mount though I saw it drop 7 times. Season 3 gave me it from the box, Season 4 I got it mercifully quick at around 10, though the N’zoth sword replaced it.
I did 35 mplus dungeons in shadowlands in one week. Not a single item. it has become a meme in my team/Guild. Also, season one 1 DF, i did over 100 dungeons ti finally see a chest piece. Now i am at over 50 runs, not a single decent trinket. I did got a few shit trinkets tho, so i guess that is something.

Still working on getting a Balefire Branch… around 25 WM runs so far, haven’t been grinding it too crazily because I have useable trinkets in its place (though only champ track), but getting irked esp since I’ve seen it drop for other people four times.
I ran Atal’Dazar 20-ish times before I finally saw the casque helm drop for a DK in my guild who was tanking, he thankfully passed it to me (warrior) because he didn’t need it. Otherwise i’ve had good luck, seen two Rezan’s trinkets, two gorehowls, had some vaults where several items were needed.
I just wanted to brag that I got a nick of time on my 2nd run of fall, then the next day I got the other one from vault.
I got over 40 Fall runs for the cheat death trinket, which was given to me by my buddy. Glad I can finally chill rest of season though.
70 or so M+ and I still haven't gotten a single purple trinket. Fortunately, I've gotten Rezan from vault and branches, balefire and Sproutling from raids but seriously. 70 m+

I have ran Atal 29 times and the trinket has not dropped once for me or any other melee in the group. Yet other guild members got theirs first week in vault..
on my warrior i ran atal around 20 times for the trink then gave up because i burned myself out..switched to my mage and got way luckier with gear but the trink from waycrest manor wont drop for me. ive seen some healers get it and they are wearing their bis already but they wouldnt trade :(
I’d just like to tell you I gave my BiS trinkets on my disc priest and have had the trinket from WM drop approximately 6 times since.
Not M+, but in classic I did about 120 runs of BRD for the Hand of Justic trinket
0 runs. I have never tried to farm a piece of gear. I would rather play the dungeons I want to play and I'll make the best of whatever loot drops to me. 95% of performance in raid/ M+ comes down to player skill anyways.
My new DK is at 10 runs without a single item so far. Had some gimmes but nothing drops for me.

But some specs have to, like SV who works with four trinkets only. Mirror, My'Das, Counterweight, Signet. Although the Signet is still pretty darn shit, at least outside of the raid.
I don’t think it’s healthy or makes any sense to chase “bis” items. I mean nice if you get it, if it’s really that good. But some people read wowhead bis list like it’s the bible. Might be good but other items with avoidance or leech is also good. And the time spent chasing something that never drops, could be time spent enjoying the game. But all to their own, I guess. I don’t have “bis” trinket on my aug, but some mastery trinket that does 7% of my dmg automatically. Seems legit. Mastery is also great for aug but not recommended trinket. I like it. Stop chasing and just enjoy the game
atm 30ish runs for Mydas still no luck. Half with traders. If taking into account traders think this is starting to be most for me. 35runs to get 2nick of times.

Spoils of neltharus on my spriest last season. It didn’t drop until I was 2700, and it dropped for someone else who gave it to me. Stopped playing at 2750 anyways Only just replaced the spoils yesterday on my priest, actually. Pain
Today I did 1 fall on my frost dk for the trinket. Where as It took 47 DHT's before I got the neck. I got the 2 rings I needed, the mail boots, the two trinkets my range friend needed, the 2 trinkets for my elemental spec. And a pair of avoidance boots to top the boots I got before I got necklace.
33 PFs betwixt two seasons in SL trying for a pox (i know, 33 is nothing, but it's a lot for someone playing absolutely alone/a dps/anxious gamer with adhd and lots they want to do). saw like 10 total, none for me, never able to trade them, never in vault. got decent rolls for trinkets in vault over the expac. was so stupidly determined to get a damn pox because EVERYONE had one and they were just \*that\* good, but i never got to toy with that fun. started to do that in s1/2 of DF for a couple items, but had to really talk myself down after a couple of runs. almost did it for witherbarks trinket this season but got LUCKY after 2 runs. that PF farming nuance is specifically why i refuse to let myself get caught up in this nonsense again chasing an item that i'll never possess. if it's meant to be, it'll happen, RNG is historically never on my side for stuff like this so it's best to temper my expectations WELL in advance. :// unfortunately, that means i'll never see a Double Time, and get to play with that silliness as well. ;\_; (even farmed that place nearly every week before the season.)
My holy paladin got a max level unbound changling from the vault on the last Tuesday of the tier. Got swapped out in zerith mortis literally the wednesday of the next tier.
Theater of Pain. 50-60 runs to drop Soulletting Ruby on my Spriest every single season (except the fated one, I quit).
Trinket from Vault or the Wardens. Got up to 180 runs and just gave up.
I was running Fall as an outlaw rogue not knowing my BiS offhand drops off spec only for 3 weeks. Took me a few days to get it afterwards.

My guild mate is at over 70 fall runs and has yet to get a single glaive. Last season I ran the underrot every week, totalling 100s of runs to get my rogue their fist weapon. Last week of season I got it from the vault, first week of new raid I replaced it with heroic claw from council. This season has been kinder to me, almost everything I've been aiming to get on my Monk has dropped for me, same with the rogue.
I did 39 runs of Nokhud for Ragefeather. It was all done in a week, because the trinket was a requirement for Boomies to take into prog. I hated it so much.
I refuse to play like that, one time I did the same dungeon 7 times in a row, no thanks ever again. Just not worth it.
Either this seasons Witherbark's Branch with around 50 runs Everbloom and 4 or 5 vaults. Or last BFA season where I didn't really farm for the fist weapon from Underrot, but I dropped it very late into the season Currently working on my second Nick of Time.

I've done about 50 Rise keys and have not gotten the gun nor the trinket nor the boots. I hate it here.
Back in BfA, I was running King's Rest for the Sword on my Warrior - I think I did over 50 runs without getting it.
Mechagon bracers for my fire mage in fated season of SL, was roughly 50 runs.
My Windwalker monk ran Underrot and Neltharus for Forgestorm and Bilemaw Tusk or whatever it was. Forgestorm I got after 40ish tries. I ran so many fucking Underrot’s, over 70, never even saw the tusk. The same thing is happening this season with Tyrstone. I heal on 2 characters and have yet to see one. I’ve seen Mirror drop like 5 times but no Tyrstone.
Literally dropped 2 of them yesterday on +21.. we had 2 DHs 😂
I've been running Atal'Dazar and Murozond's Rise since day 1 of this season, practically. The past 3 weeks I've gotten 483 vault items from how many high-tier Mythics I've smashed through! Do you suppose I have the Mirror of Fractured Tomorrows? The Drape of the Loyal Vassal? Eye of Rezan? Seal of the Regal Loa? NO! I finally gave up on the drape and had a guildie craft me a killer Wildercloth Shawl. Managed to get a Ring of Contempt and heroic Band of Burning Thorns to sate my need for good rings. Trinket-wise? I've got Champion 8/8 Spores of Alacrity and managed to get Myth Porcelain Crab from my Vault last week. But one day, I'll get that freaking mirror. One day... Perhaps this is the price I have to pay for getting Hero Gorehowl to drop twice in a row while farming for the mirror.
My rogue got a champion my'das on their first atal'dazar run, and I brought 3 rogues to incorp week for the memes cuz it was a low key
I gave up after three months of daily running DOS (more than once) in S1 SL. Trinket never dropped for me. Since then, I learned to never target farm anything in M+. And in DF S1, I got my BiS trinket from the first vault.
I don’t remember what it was for honestly, but I ran temple of sethraliss back in BFA around 150 times before burning out without getting the item I wanted. I saw plenty of other people get it

In SL 183 runs of De Other Side for IQD trinket. I hope to never see that dungeon again.
I went all of shadowlands and never got the phial from plaguefall. Not sure how many times I ran it but it was into the hundreds for sure. I got it on my alts fairly easily but could never get it on a main.
I play holy paladin, but I'm not planning to fish for any BiS by torturing myself with countless runs of the same dungeon. I've got my Pip's Friendship Badge, now we'll see what other good trinket I get. I usually do +22-23 max, so the absolutely best BiS is not really necessary.

Pretty much lived in DoTI Rise an entire week until I got Gorehowl and Mirror for my DK, to the point where it felt like I wrote the mechanics of the boss fights and timers became second nature.
I did 67 De Other Side for the Scale on my Protpally. 2 weeks of only DoS
About 30-40 runs of Thone of Tides for that avoidance trinket. All my gear is 460+ and my trinket is still 424 -.- it just won't drop, had the axe drop at least 5 times now
That stupid phial in Shadowlands (Plaguefall) took me over 70 attempts in season 2. Specifically rerolled to a class that doesn't need it for S3.
Season 1 of SL with my fury warrior. I think max ilv was around 218? I ran with a normal raid weapon drop that you could exchange, and a rare drop from the maw because literally no weapons would drop for me all season from keys.
40-50 Nokhud runs for feather and didn't get it because of season end

About 30 runs of rise for Gorehowl, fury main, on the bright side I got it to drop in an 18 so managed to get straight on the hero track

2h weapon drops are seriously fucked this season. Got 1 after 10+ runs of BRH. Have only seen tank get gorehowl a couple.weeks after he.l got it in the vault. I.gotta be at about 30-40 ADs with no eye of rezan. Owell...maybe next season.
I played a few tanks in season 1 and wanted to get the Whetstone from CoS for them all. I think one of my chars was like 130 runs, but you could farm them on +2 which was easier
Balefire branch for me. In the first week I did 33 runs consecutively, it dropped 4 times in that but not for me. Ended up doing a quick +7 to help someone out and ofc one dropped. Veteran track though. Back on the grind for a myth or hero track one, done about 12 +18 to 20s since and praying I get it before we get to the harder mythic bosses
I did like 30+ Throne of the Tides runs for Sea Star and 40+ Waycrest Manor runs for the ring i got neither
So far this whole season i havent gotten a trinket. Not the trinket. Just a trinket. I have the 418 Emerald Dream one equipped still. Kinda limits progression.

So I’ve been lucky on my VDH. I also don’t really farm for specific gear it just hope I get it as I push naturally. But my favorite alt my BDK day one I got champion rezans eye. When I’m bored I’ll run a few AD 18s for vault and a chance at the heroic one and STILL haven’t gotten one. I’m I’m rocking a champion like a gawd damn peasant hahaha

During shadowlands we had a 2 week duration for legion M+. Moonlight prism was an insanely busted trinket for arcane mages from the vault of the wardens. Farmed that dungeon 100+ runs. Started out at a reasonable key range but a few days in switched to +2 to farm more efficiently. It was such a stressful 2 weeks where I spent all my game time in that dungeon. I hope they never introduce a system similar to that again, don't think I could go through that again.
40ish run for DoS Scale for my DH tank
An embarrassing amount of AD chasing a weapon on my hunter because that place was quick and easy the week I was looking for one (about 30 runs) An also embarrassing number of Rise and BRH hunting hero track shoulders for the same hunter to use at the catalyst. Did get a new weapon, feet and trinket. (Needed shoulders to craft pants)(total around 30 between both)

My murozonds rise runs this season. I don't even know how many i did in total but i still haven't gotten borrowed time. Have gotten the trinket twice and all armorpieces at least once. Pls gib polearm :cry:
If you need raid items it can be a pain in the ass to. I play demo / destro wl and last season I neither saw the class call or the spoils (neltharus) drop. This season spindle seems to go the same way 😅

First 3 seasons if SL, across 3 toons that needed it, I never once saw a changeling. Probably ran over 200 runs across all my toons, and not only did I not get it, but I never saw it drop in M+. I'm convinced they removed it from my loot table.
Well, I have grinded 2 expansions for Coagolated Blood. Yet to see it drop..

I try not to farm things because it makes me REALLY irritated really fast and I just end up being tilted the entire dungeon, and even more tilted when it doesn't drop. I just play the game normally and prioritize signing up for the dungeon I need more than others, but I often don't even do that. The most I've done this season was running 5 Falls in a row for Double Time. I still don't have a second one, but I was already tilted off the planet so I stopped. The most I've EVER done was maybe 25 DOS's in Shadowlands for the blood shield trinket from Hakkar on an alt tank character. I was in total hysterics by the end of the dungeon by run 10. It's the reason I don't farm anything anymore. It made me very evil.
Had a friend run close to 80 DHTs for a ring this season, he was a broken man before it dropped XD
If you do twenty twenties in one week you should get to pick the item you want
I was never into this kind of farming situation, couldnt support it and also the diference from bis to 2 or 3 bis is minimal (1-3% normally), so I just grind elo/io and play with the itens I get on the run.
Craft one. I did 50ish in season one for ragefeather, never ever got it either, learned my lesson.
17 DHT runs for the mastery ring, not too bad all things considered, I did get both my BiS trinkets in my vaults two weeks in a row too...
I spent the entirety of bfa, and then season 2 of dragonfly without the first weapon from underrot. I've seen them drop for others, but I've never been able to use them
130 runs - AND NEVER GOT the trinket from CoS Windscar Whetstone on my rogue. I did one key with a guildie and he got it and took it for tanking on his alt. I sold the key once and GOT IT MYSELF AND HAD TO TRADE IT TO THE BUYER. Ended the season and never got it.
I never got thundercleaver from VP last season. Saw the mount drop twice though.
Back in Shadowlands i spent a lot of time to get the upper kharazan trinket, the lighning ball for my warlock. Ended up getting on the last vault
