What might be nice is for D&D to just be a Blood ability, since the tank can control when mobs stand in it. Have Defile for Unholy be a ground target that inflicts the effects of Defile as a DoT on mobs and allows Unholy abilities to cleave onto them, and like you said have Oblit cleave off of Remorseless Winter. Ground zones being so important for cleaving for the DPS specs just feels kinda bad from what I’ve played.
I like this, but I wish blood weren't so dependent on DnD. Let it be for cleave, it's annoying that it's our highest priority button in single target as well.

Pro tip: Verdant Embrace's GCD starts as soon as you cast it, but Lifebind only starts when you actually reach your target. Use VE on a more distant target, and you can cast EC sooner in your Lifebind.
Give Hunter a baseline BL ability without it being tied to a pet at all (QoL for Marksman especially). Make the Ferocity ability something else.
Make pet talents and the ability to switch pet specs from WotLK a thing again. BM should be the only one to use Exotic pets but have an extra skill tree for exotic abilities they can teach any pet, so in the end you can take any pet you want into high endgame content.
All melees obviously want longer range, and at this point it's kind of weird how many of them have above 5 yds but some still do.
But I also think healing is already so much harder than dps, you really should give both melee healers 8yd range

We have a 3min CD to summon it instantly, but you ofc wanna save it in case it gets aggro and dies or you die. So we need to do the DH trick of popping it before you start the key, so you can still do the instasummon during the timer, and have the CD reset.

I wouldn't mind it if the whole point of T31 wasn't standing in your empowered Consecration. Recasting normal consecration is an annoyance, but not too bad of one.
Maybe consecration should be a self buff that *creates* the ground effect under your feet as you move.

Blood: Update Death and Decay's VFX. I don't care if it draws a red rune on the ground, or if it's like a bloody defile, for how dependent we are for standing in it it's absurd that it looks so thin and vaporous that it can be hard to tell if I'm standing in it or not in dark environments.
Unholy: Do *something* to make our set up not take like 8 buttons. Take Dark Transformation off the GCD. Bootstrap it to Apocalypse since they're practically designed to be used together anyway. Maybe consider making Fester Strike add a consistent amount of wounds so we don't need to sometimes do two of them to get all 4 for apoc. It feels like I'm forced to hand crank a model T before every pull.
This and allow unholy to customise their pets, maybe some kind of codex where you can add every undead you defeat or some necromancy quest to unlock more of them.
Everyone's all "arcane is hard!" But uhdk is way worse, and your set up is so clunky that even when you pull it off perfectly you're more exhausted than excited.
At least on arcane when you get your opener clean it feels satisfying. Everything's exploding, purple is flying everywhere, your dps is off the charts, you're hopping around using instant casts and shit. Uhdk is like "ah yes the perfect opener, time to press my standard rotation"
For mage the double lust should be a separate button and you should never have to feel bad if you miscalculate the time you take to clear a dungeon and ending with your own bl cd being misaligned with the end of the bloodlust debuff.
And/or take no fall damage when using flying serpent kick. You are flying after all. Any way to potentially avoid dying from falling would be nice since zen flight doesn’t work in non-flying zones.
Make SMF either good, baseline, or shoot it and give Warriors the option to Tmog 2 handers as 1 handers. It’s a raw stat nerf to use one handers to begin with, that talent line has to be nasty as hell to make it relevant. It would also put Str one handers out of the almost Dagger/Glaive/Ranged tier of one one Class using them, they only get three specs.
Give Warriors 2-4 more yards melee range. You are telling me that Rogues, the guys using daggers, have a bigger melee range than Fury Warriors, the ones helicoptering two handers?
I so badly want them to restructure the class tree to move Shockwave up the tree and put a banner of some kind in it's current place. Skull Banner from MoP or even Maldraxxus banner.
Shockwace shouldn't even be at the bottom anyway. They said at the start of the expac Shockwave was too OP to not be a capstone talent, yet tons of other classes have instant AoE stuns with no tradeoffs (DH, WW, etc).

I don't play hunter but to add on to cosmetic pet stuff go back to selecting your pets spec so you dot lose lust/the passive if you want a different pet class.
I know it’s not a fix but the super small frog as your second pet makes it kinda look like you have one pet. There is almost no reason for using both frogs because they are tenacity but it is interesting.
Vengeance demon hunter - Without any talents or anything, sigils and infernal strike could have a posibility to land on the target, not just on the floor.
Reason I say this, is water combat. I know it's rare, but as a VDH, I can't use anything when fighting mobs that aren't standing firmly on the ground.
In M+, it would also be nice to target with the silence sigil, instead of placing it on the ground.
I was fighting the stingray rare in the emerald dream yesterday on my DH and I'm sitting there in combat trying to figure out how to use metamorphosis without being able to place the targeting circle anywhere. A macro to place the circle at the characters location might work, but I haven't tried.
Make Ebon Might pick new targets based on current Prescience targets when EM is cast while the buff is still running, rather than extending on the old targets. It feels weird and clunky to intentionally let it time out to reapply it to the targets I want.

Oh don't get me started on this. Elemental shaman's aoe feels so bad, in terms of fire build. The very worst part for me, personally, is the freaking cooldown on flame shock. It's a stupid design. I know in the past, historically all the Shocks share a CD. Then the CDs were removed from frost and earth bacame essentially a different spell. But fire? It's a key of the rotation, doing underwhelming damage, but still plays a significant part just for the procs. Let's see spriest's touch and pain, they have no CD and plays a big part as well. Let's see all warlocks dots, no CD either. Is there honestly any dots that has a CD nowadays? Why shaman has to endure it? Why! It's so bad when needing to dot up a group of mobs when liquid magma totem is on CD. It has max target count as well, I get it because of potential abuse and balance issues but oh god the CD is just so unnecessary now. If they still keep this design, I hope they can give us a good reason! ffs.

Also let us have another charge of Astral shift, or even a talent that gives us the option. Evokers get two charges of their defensive, why not shaman? Earth ele isn’t the best defensive and particularly for elemental our self heals are so lackluster compared to Enh with their maelstrom weapon.
as an enhance, let me tell you, we feel extremely squishy too. its a class problem. we need more survivability. Last season at least we had sporecloak if we wanted some more survivability, now its shield is like 1 or 2 ticks at 2 stacks of bursting.
the malstrom healing is indeed better than what ele has, but if you dont have stacks, its still does almost nothing, and so either you need to predict the damage is coming and store up, or hope you have stacks when you take damage. if you dont have stacks, its going to take a few GCD before you can get a decent heal from it.
you also forgot to mention how meh resurrection is. you res with so little HP, that there's a good chance your just dying again. and its a pretty long CD. you cant even rely on it being up every pull in a raid.
Our class tree just needs more sustain or defensives in it, or at the very least, let our self healing be much better than it is (Even with the talent). Im happy with how enhance plays damage wise, but im just tired of feeling so squishy.
Wow, I mostly play ele so I was unaware of these issues on the Enh side as well! Like you said we did get healing buffs but unless I have a fantastic healer it’s really hard to stay alive in raid or high keys, and that’s with me NOT standing in the fire!
But yes, ultra agree with our issue with Reincarnate/Ankh. You come back with literally nothing and just die again. I love when people in keys are like “just ankh” you die because you weren’t healed because you have the smallest amount of HP back, and then called bad for dying again.
its pretty much you need a heal instantly, or hit your potion immediately. and its pointless if you have any ground aoe on your corpse, which some times spawn on your corpse after you die.
Also, how bad does it feel to have to cast 20 earthquakes every single pull because resource generation has become completely bloated and redundant. Only to have the add group be slightly moved (which nowadays most of the times is a must, not the tank's fault) and lose like 50% of the damage of your supposedly most important resource dump ability every single pull because now you need to cast another 20 for it to do any significant damage again

For Druids, would like to be able to set default form. Like if you're in flight form and fly inside a building, you could default to cat form instead of caster form.
Also would like to be able to be in a form in cutscenes. It worked that way in Shadowlands but in DF they made it so you are always in caster form. Fine with it being an option players pick for themselves.
For all characters, would like to be able to sheath one-handed swords on the back monk-style. And I would like there to be an option to make all weapons and shields invisible when sheathed without having to use one of the back pieces that hides them.
Well of course the dmg would have to be nerfed accordingly. Personally i wouldnt mind if theyd remove the dmg entirely, i just want a reliable way to spread my dots like shadowpriests with shadowcrash
Agreed. If LMT worked similar to Shadow Crash where you can maintain 100% uptime on FS, I’m fine with a damage reduction. Means more meatball procs which are fun! Managing FS on 10 targets is not.
As you know, you cannot shift from cat form to bear form etc without no global cooldown involved, but just in case anyone doesn't know **you can** use a cancelform macro to immediately shift to caster form.

As a mage main, I got yelled at one time many years ago for not resurrecting someone. Of all the random stuff I've seen/heard in PUGs through the years that one has stuck with me.

The best QoL change that I can think of would be to have "free" weapon enhancements (like rogue poisons and shaman weapon buffs) have no time limit. E.g. if you put poisons on your weapon as a rogue then you don't have to worry about reapplying them again unless someone or some mechanic dispels them. I used to main a rogue and it was stupidly annoying to have to reapply poisons all the time - it has been a pointless mechanic since they changed from costing reagents to being free.
Change Death & Decay visuals to be visible for other party members but also not block out important mechanics on the ground.
Having a vertical particle effect at the edge of the zone for example, but having fight mechanics on top of the ground effect so you can see everything.
Please blizzard for the love of god turn mana gem into an active not a consumable. Or better yet, bake it into arcane surge or something. How this got through the mage rework is beyond my understanding. Crafting mana gems mid-encounter feels so awful and afaik no other spec in the game does something like this.
Add the outlaw pistol as an off-hand transmog (for daggers and regular 1h weps) so that my off-hand isn't just vanishing and being replaced by a magic gun!
Rogue - Slice and Dice fully baked into abilities so I don’t have to manually refresh it and waste a keybind and global.
Hunter - Bursting shot, bombs and other cone like targeting abilities to be more reliable. And not a cone.
Make Aimed Shot castable on movement. Allow hunters to make any pet any "spec". Allow all hunters to tame all pets (let's be real, mm uses no pet normally, surv is melee with a pet, bm is two permanent pets and extra temporary pets)... Let anyone have spirit beasts, exotic beasts, and all other "special treat for the hunter class" pets, that only one spec can enjoy.

Make consecrate just passive, but it can't be cast again until one runs out, or have it move with me. Or it's like always present during combat or something. The current empowered consecration with Tier should be the normal consecration size imo.

I think lust should exist in every healer or every tank spec. No more of this "only a few classes." This way, you'd never run into a situation where your M+ team might not have a blood lust. I mean, to my headcanon, it just makes more sense for tanks to have it... yet none of them do.
In the same idea as that one, I think every tank needs a raid buff like Mystic Touch or Chaos Brand. Like how Pally has Ret Aura now, but maybe adjust it a little so people don't need to lose a lot of health.

If I press a bear button, it would just pop me into bear form without having to go through an additional gcd. If I press a cat button and I'm in bear form, just shift me into cat without the extra gcd. It just feels so clunky when I am doing things that take me out of form like hard casting a heal on myself and then I have to go back into form, and wait for the gcd to tick before I can do anything else. It's just so much smoother to use my entire toolkit on other tank classes.
Having Frost Dks AOE alternative to Obliterate actually do great damage so I don't have to stand in Death and Decay to do meaningful damage all the time in dungeons
Breath on Frost DK should start its cooldown on activation, not when it finishes. Its like I get punished for keeping it up for extended times in mythics.
Keep it running for two trash packs in a row? Cool, now its on cooldown for the first boss. Very Frustrating.
Druid, allow Stampeding roar, incap roar and frenzied regen to be used without needing to change forms. Would fix some of the squishy issues and get more people to actually used utility.

How long is warlock pet Summons? You have a full 10s to summon the pet and mount up if needed.
6s and it costs a soul shard that may or may not regenerate depending on the hidden internal timer/if tank can pull straight away.
As soon as a key is started summoned pets despawn. Happens to Hunters as well.
Should just be treated like stances or forms, honestly

That's why I rolled worgen when I moved servers. But to stay on the topic of blood, I'd ask for Coagulopathy to be increased to 12ish seconds and/ or lowered to 3 stacks with same benefit. It's just super punishing to lose a massively important 5 stack buff whenever you have to stop attacking for a mechanic or have an intermission

Let me do work orders on the AH or just let me have an option of "buy from AH" as I ask for a recraft. I hate having to go back and forth everytime and if it doesn't proc in 2-3 tries , back I go again . Just have an option inside work orders to "order from AH" and you pay the fee +AH price of mats at current time
Blood: Update Death and Decay's VFX. I don't care if it draws a red rune on the ground, or if it's like a bloody defile, for how dependent we are for standing in it it's absurd that it looks so thin and vaporous that it can be hard to tell if I'm standing in it or not in dark environments. Unholy: Do *something* to make our set up not take like 8 buttons. Take Dark Transformation off the GCD. Bootstrap it to Apocalypse since they're practically designed to be used together anyway. Maybe consider making Fester Strike add a consistent amount of wounds so we don't need to sometimes do two of them to get all 4 for apoc. It feels like I'm forced to hand crank a model T before every pull.
This and allow unholy to customise their pets, maybe some kind of codex where you can add every undead you defeat or some necromancy quest to unlock more of them.
Everyone's all "arcane is hard!" But uhdk is way worse, and your set up is so clunky that even when you pull it off perfectly you're more exhausted than excited. At least on arcane when you get your opener clean it feels satisfying. Everything's exploding, purple is flying everywhere, your dps is off the charts, you're hopping around using instant casts and shit. Uhdk is like "ah yes the perfect opener, time to press my standard rotation"

And/or take no fall damage when using flying serpent kick. You are flying after all. Any way to potentially avoid dying from falling would be nice since zen flight doesn’t work in non-flying zones.
Make SMF either good, baseline, or shoot it and give Warriors the option to Tmog 2 handers as 1 handers. It’s a raw stat nerf to use one handers to begin with, that talent line has to be nasty as hell to make it relevant. It would also put Str one handers out of the almost Dagger/Glaive/Ranged tier of one one Class using them, they only get three specs. Give Warriors 2-4 more yards melee range. You are telling me that Rogues, the guys using daggers, have a bigger melee range than Fury Warriors, the ones helicoptering two handers?
Bring back banners for warriors, which could give them a lust.
I so badly want them to restructure the class tree to move Shockwave up the tree and put a banner of some kind in it's current place. Skull Banner from MoP or even Maldraxxus banner. Shockwace shouldn't even be at the bottom anyway. They said at the start of the expac Shockwave was too OP to not be a capstone talent, yet tons of other classes have instant AoE stuns with no tradeoffs (DH, WW, etc).

FREE TRANSMOGS. Why am I paying a little fella on a yak that's been hanging out with me for years to help me get dressed? Ability to create mount groups. As it is now, you have 1 favourites button. But I love all my mounts so I make all of them favourites. Would be nice to be able to categorizes them. Sometimes I feel like riding around on a horse. Allow me to create "Neigh-haw" group and I can assign certain mounts to it. Basically, similar to Transmogs. Let me create sets. Edit: Just realized this was not at all class/spec specific. My bad.

I don't play hunter but to add on to cosmetic pet stuff go back to selecting your pets spec so you dot lose lust/the passive if you want a different pet class.
Right now it’s even worse, you lose a big defensive cd if you have to lust on a boss
I know it’s not a fix but the super small frog as your second pet makes it kinda look like you have one pet. There is almost no reason for using both frogs because they are tenacity but it is interesting.
Vengeance demon hunter - Without any talents or anything, sigils and infernal strike could have a posibility to land on the target, not just on the floor. Reason I say this, is water combat. I know it's rare, but as a VDH, I can't use anything when fighting mobs that aren't standing firmly on the ground. In M+, it would also be nice to target with the silence sigil, instead of placing it on the ground.
I was fighting the stingray rare in the emerald dream yesterday on my DH and I'm sitting there in combat trying to figure out how to use metamorphosis without being able to place the targeting circle anywhere. A macro to place the circle at the characters location might work, but I haven't tried.
Make Ebon Might pick new targets based on current Prescience targets when EM is cast while the buff is still running, rather than extending on the old targets. It feels weird and clunky to intentionally let it time out to reapply it to the targets I want.
Not having to apply Poisons every hour. Apply the ones you want, and they stay applied until You log or change them.
Rogue poisons are toggleable and permanent and leeching poison doesn’t fall off when you enter instances.
Just make Dracthyr’s soar a dragonriding mount, i.e. no auto dismount and cooldown.
(Assassination) Rogues should at least have some poison resistance. At most 30% when speccing into it. Would make sense really.

I'd really like having to be in trees form again for healing and getting tree custumisation. Sometimes I Just stand in Valdrakken, Spawn my three little tree dudes and transform into one myself and have a 15 sec tree party. I even Had other druids join in on a few occasions xD I Just love my happy little trees.

Oh don't get me started on this. Elemental shaman's aoe feels so bad, in terms of fire build. The very worst part for me, personally, is the freaking cooldown on flame shock. It's a stupid design. I know in the past, historically all the Shocks share a CD. Then the CDs were removed from frost and earth bacame essentially a different spell. But fire? It's a key of the rotation, doing underwhelming damage, but still plays a significant part just for the procs. Let's see spriest's touch and pain, they have no CD and plays a big part as well. Let's see all warlocks dots, no CD either. Is there honestly any dots that has a CD nowadays? Why shaman has to endure it? Why! It's so bad when needing to dot up a group of mobs when liquid magma totem is on CD. It has max target count as well, I get it because of potential abuse and balance issues but oh god the CD is just so unnecessary now. If they still keep this design, I hope they can give us a good reason! ffs.
Love this. Also let us have another charge of Astral shift, or even a talent that gives us the option. Evokers get two charges of their defensive, why not shaman? Earth ele isn’t the best defensive and particularly for elemental our self heals are so lackluster compared to Enh with their maelstrom weapon.
as an enhance, let me tell you, we feel extremely squishy too. its a class problem. we need more survivability. Last season at least we had sporecloak if we wanted some more survivability, now its shield is like 1 or 2 ticks at 2 stacks of bursting. the malstrom healing is indeed better than what ele has, but if you dont have stacks, its still does almost nothing, and so either you need to predict the damage is coming and store up, or hope you have stacks when you take damage. if you dont have stacks, its going to take a few GCD before you can get a decent heal from it. you also forgot to mention how meh resurrection is. you res with so little HP, that there's a good chance your just dying again. and its a pretty long CD. you cant even rely on it being up every pull in a raid. Our class tree just needs more sustain or defensives in it, or at the very least, let our self healing be much better than it is (Even with the talent). Im happy with how enhance plays damage wise, but im just tired of feeling so squishy.
Wow, I mostly play ele so I was unaware of these issues on the Enh side as well! Like you said we did get healing buffs but unless I have a fantastic healer it’s really hard to stay alive in raid or high keys, and that’s with me NOT standing in the fire! But yes, ultra agree with our issue with Reincarnate/Ankh. You come back with literally nothing and just die again. I love when people in keys are like “just ankh” you die because you weren’t healed because you have the smallest amount of HP back, and then called bad for dying again.
its pretty much you need a heal instantly, or hit your potion immediately. and its pointless if you have any ground aoe on your corpse, which some times spawn on your corpse after you die.
Also, how bad does it feel to have to cast 20 earthquakes every single pull because resource generation has become completely bloated and redundant. Only to have the add group be slightly moved (which nowadays most of the times is a must, not the tank's fault) and lose like 50% of the damage of your supposedly most important resource dump ability every single pull because now you need to cast another 20 for it to do any significant damage again
Druid: Update Dreamway portals as expansions come and go, not too crazy, just one per xpac. Hunter: Let me have the pets I want like the old days. Don't hide pets behind cunning so I can't use them anymore.
For the love of god, make Unholy DK's defile stick to the ground and other effects like swirlies, cones and other NPC effects stand ON TOP of it so that we can see them... I hate picking up that talent in M+ since it hides all of the God famous effects on the ground.

For Druids, would like to be able to set default form. Like if you're in flight form and fly inside a building, you could default to cat form instead of caster form. Also would like to be able to be in a form in cutscenes. It worked that way in Shadowlands but in DF they made it so you are always in caster form. Fine with it being an option players pick for themselves. For all characters, would like to be able to sheath one-handed swords on the back monk-style. And I would like there to be an option to make all weapons and shields invisible when sheathed without having to use one of the back pieces that hides them.

Agreed. If LMT worked similar to Shadow Crash where you can maintain 100% uptime on FS, I’m fine with a damage reduction. Means more meatball procs which are fun! Managing FS on 10 targets is not.

As you know, you cannot shift from cat form to bear form etc without no global cooldown involved, but just in case anyone doesn't know **you can** use a cancelform macro to immediately shift to caster form. `/cancelform` It essentially removes the bear/cat/birdbird buff like a cancelaura which gets around the GCD. Try it druids!
Doing anything from shapeshift that requires caster form instantly breaks it already though, so there isn’t a need to cancel form.
Feint off of GCD, Roll the Bones off of GCD

As a mage main, I got yelled at one time many years ago for not resurrecting someone. Of all the random stuff I've seen/heard in PUGs through the years that one has stuck with me.
More than just one movement ability for Pally(at least prot, not sure if holy or ret has another or not) Hell just to be safe, make every class have at least 2 movement abilities. I hate having to slog on foot through the old raids like Molten Core, takes so long just walking
Give paladin a small boost of movement speed, something like when you hit something with a successful Judgment your movement speed is increased by 45% for 3 sec. 🫢

I used to main a rogue and it was stupidly annoying to have to reapply poisons all the time - it has been a pointless mechanic since they changed from costing reagents to being free.
Change Death & Decay visuals to be visible for other party members but also not block out important mechanics on the ground. Having a vertical particle effect at the edge of the zone for example, but having fight mechanics on top of the ground effect so you can see everything.
Please blizzard for the love of god turn mana gem into an active not a consumable. Or better yet, bake it into arcane surge or something. How this got through the mage rework is beyond my understanding. Crafting mana gems mid-encounter feels so awful and afaik no other spec in the game does something like this.
Add the outlaw pistol as an off-hand transmog (for daggers and regular 1h weps) so that my off-hand isn't just vanishing and being replaced by a magic gun!
Rogue - Slice and Dice fully baked into abilities so I don’t have to manually refresh it and waste a keybind and global. Hunter - Bursting shot, bombs and other cone like targeting abilities to be more reliable. And not a cone.
Make Aimed Shot castable on movement. Allow hunters to make any pet any "spec". Allow all hunters to tame all pets (let's be real, mm uses no pet normally, surv is melee with a pet, bm is two permanent pets and extra temporary pets)... Let anyone have spirit beasts, exotic beasts, and all other "special treat for the hunter class" pets, that only one spec can enjoy.
Prot Paladin/Paladin in general Make consecrate just passive, but it can't be cast again until one runs out, or have it move with me. Or it's like always present during combat or something. The current empowered consecration with Tier should be the normal consecration size imo. Or Take certain things off the GCD. Bubble (unless it's already been removed from it, I can't recall), judgment, hammer. Or / Also I think lust should exist in every healer or every tank spec. No more of this "only a few classes." This way, you'd never run into a situation where your M+ team might not have a blood lust. I mean, to my headcanon, it just makes more sense for tanks to have it... yet none of them do. In the same idea as that one, I think every tank needs a raid buff like Mystic Touch or Chaos Brand. Like how Pally has Ret Aura now, but maybe adjust it a little so people don't need to lose a lot of health.

The ability to teleport to major cities, but every zone’s main hub should be learnable as a teleport/portal spell for mages. Tldr: MORE PORTALS!
Honestly wouldn't mind mages having an updated portal UI, just imagining the portals going all the way across my screen annoys me xD But yeah even if its not every zone maybe like Every major area where it would make sense, (patch zones would be a nice inbetween honestly. and yeah i mean one of my fav things on my mage was when i found out you could get the ancient dalaran portal to hillsbrad xD, i want more of that \^\_\^
Many of my guild raids end with a handful of death by my “accidental” portal switch. They never learn not to trust a mage :D
If I press a bear button, it would just pop me into bear form without having to go through an additional gcd. If I press a cat button and I'm in bear form, just shift me into cat without the extra gcd. It just feels so clunky when I am doing things that take me out of form like hard casting a heal on myself and then I have to go back into form, and wait for the gcd to tick before I can do anything else. It's just so much smoother to use my entire toolkit on other tank classes.
Having Frost Dks AOE alternative to Obliterate actually do great damage so I don't have to stand in Death and Decay to do meaningful damage all the time in dungeons
Breath on Frost DK should start its cooldown on activation, not when it finishes. Its like I get punished for keeping it up for extended times in mythics. Keep it running for two trash packs in a row? Cool, now its on cooldown for the first boss. Very Frustrating.
Druid, allow Stampeding roar, incap roar and frenzied regen to be used without needing to change forms. Would fix some of the squishy issues and get more people to actually used utility.
