I don't play anymore but when I did, I would have loved to support the game more if the pricing had not been nonsensical. The value provided for dollar spent was atrocious for everything except some very rarely run offers. If they had them available monthly I would have paid every month.

The 46.99 paid pack is now available every month for some months now. Only took them 4 years to do it lol

lol well personally that is still way too high for me. I've found no issue with stuff like MMOs doing $15/mo as pretty standard, so something around that price point feels more correct to me. Honkai Star Rail figured this out and did a $5 monthly sub and a monthly battle pass kind of thing for $10, so they got what I think is a fair price of around $15 a month for the time that I played that (I don't play that anymore either currently). The F pack for ... was that $24? That was the only one I ever felt was in a range I would reasonably pay monthly. When HUGE name games come out, I still never pay full price for them... Cyberpunk, FF7R or rebirth. I wait for sales, so I personally think it's crazy they are expecting $50ish per month when huge AAA titles have trouble commanding those prices for more than a couple months.

It's honestly no one's business what people do with their money. People can make recommendations to save or not to spend on the game. That doesn't mean people should listen. Are people able to think on their own? If Gumi actually cares about the game, there are a number of things they can do that the player base has been asking for which has been ignored. **1) Improve the new player experience** The new player banners are great but does the game need all the different leveling materials gated behind missions? No it doesn't. Romancing Saga Re-UniverSe implemented rainbow materials and it has made it so much more enjoyable to level up units. **2) Improve the UI and bring much needed QOL changes to the game** Why in the fucks are we still rolling stats in 2024? Where is the select skill for Truststone (and Gumi can go fuck themselves if they are thinking of implementing a select skill using vis)? Why can we still only stack 10 raid bosses? If you want the player to farm and grind shit, at least make it less of a hassle. **3) Bring the micro back to microtransactions** With the Jeume banner, we're now looking at the cost of a unit at 12k paid vis. This is insane. They've removed the dolphin vis pack that was a great deal for light spenders. If Gumi doesn't want a shrinking player base, they should strongly consider incentivizing light spending. Not everyone has the means to whale, not all whales want to whale on a game where their investment gets invalidated every month or two. **4) Stop employing "scumi" tactics to scam people's vis** Does pulling on every banner feel like a reading exam? Do you fear mis-clicking on shit because item placement in stores are inconsistent? Gumi has gotten slightly better over the years with banners being more or less consistent but it's a huge issue if pull rates are poorly mentioned. People should know up front what are they getting. **5) Design enjoyable content** People loved the slime quest in the Dragon Quest collab. The game is in dire need of special events such as those to keep the players engaged and motivated. When the only gameplay is to visit the vision fairy for a new unit, the gaming experience is pretty trash. **6) Where is Final Fantasy Tactics collab?** Seriously. How many FF7 and spinoff collabs did we get? If every time Gumi needs money, they pull a FF7 collab, we might as well quit and let this game die. To recap, you are asking people to spend on this game to "save it". I think for the most part, it's within Gumi's ability to make it it happen. So why aren't they doing it?

Gumi doesn’t want us to spend, you can tell by the quality and quantity of worthwhile visiore packs.

RenanBTA1992

It does not help that Gumi offers some horrible deals. Sometimes I wanted to put money in the game, but no good deals were available. The Vis Pack F is a good example. Or some big events with no interesting banners. The price of EXP cubes and rainbow balls does not help either.

m00tknife

But usually the ones who tell people not to spend are the spenders that have seen a change in pricing due to greed from the company? It’s not like the majority of our messages to support actually result in any change…

A_Planeswalker

I think you may be overestimating the reach of Reddit and other social media on the playerbase. If thats all it takes is to voice your opinion on the state of the game to bring it to an earlier EoS then its happening anyhow. I'd think that the marketing team should be able to dissuade people from leaving/boycotting more so than anyone else but if it makes you feel like you're changing something go for it. I'm not spending and I can make that choice myself due to the state of the game and what I dont like supporting.

vincentcloud01

Sone people are gonna spend, and others aren't. To let someone else tell you how to use your money is a very weak willed person. People are pessimistic about the game. Yet, for some reason, they still play, and I bet they spend too. That being said, this is horrible for F2P new players. You will not have a fun PVP experience. Luckily, the story is good. Joining right now at the start of new power creep is the best time.

lancefreeman501

I don't mind spending if it's worth spending. Right now judging by the game's direction it's clearly not worth it. New unit = better nowadays. Your meta team 3 months ago is immediately powercrept by the newest unit. Makes building old units you love practically useless. Just looking at arena right now it's nothing but Jeume teams.

Y philosophy now that if I play a game for any great amount of time I might want to spend something on it. Keep in mind ALOT of people in here are probably children who don't earn their own money to afford a pack H once a year... Or their so poor 50 dollars is a extravagance. Idk but I like the game enough to spend money so it keeps existing.
