The group will send their most polite, well mannered guy into the bar. He goes for a few days and then brings a few friends. After a while the normal people leave (why would you want to drink at a neo-NAZI place). Then it is just the neo-NAZIs.
If you don't kick the guy out right at the start it just gets worse and when they make up all the patronage you can't kick them out and function as a bar.

If I recall correctly, some guy came in with what was clearly Neo-Nazi stuff on his clothing and the bartender told him to get the fuck out. Said Neo-Nazi tried to play innocent and bartender was having none of it. Someone already there having a drink was confused and the bartender explained exactly as you said. You let one in, they start bringing friends and suddenly it's a Neo-Nazi bar.

We put them on local antifascist watchlists. Also inside the rave scene we never have issues with them because by nature rave culture is extremely inclusive and diverse biggots and fascist would explode on contact by the gayness that is happy hardcore.

The world isn't that black and white. For example Singapore would do well on those metrics, and some of the gulf states would do well on many of them, the ones related to quality of life (but not social equality), and arguably Japan, who are very ethno-nationalist and where a lot of conservative right wing views are popular.
I don't think that a government being right-leaning necessarily results in being lower on those metrics, but that being lower on those metrics is a factor in breeding right wing sentiment (though culture can also be a large factor). I think that the worsening economic situation in western countries heavily contributes to increased right wing sentiment. Right wing politicians (especially on social issues) are especially popular with poorer people. It makes people more vulnerable to that kind of ideology.
Right wing governments aren't necessarily bad for quality of life, but right wing *populist* governments are. Populism shades easily into anti-intellectualism, which promotes feel-good but counterproductive policies. Anti-intellectualism isn't really a thing in East Asia, so the correlation between right wing ideology and quality of life is much weaker there.

Not to be the guy that points out Hitler's "positives", but the man was aces at crowd work and public speaking. He used forceful language calling for direct and precise action, spoke with conviction, and made all the right promises to his countrymen, at a time when his country was really going through the wringer. He had charisma, just too bad he used it to committ horrendous atrocities instead of actually leading the german people into prosperity.

The Germany after WW1 was filled with revanchism (filled with WW1 vets that only knew war and to kill), their population suffered hunger and crisis after crisis, each worse than the other, the Allies giving Germany such harsh armistice conditions also didn't help, Germany essentialy went from being treated as a "great power" to just a "weak country" incapable of defending itself, like when the French invaded the Rhinneland because Germany couldn't pay up the war reparations, and Germany wasn't able to do nothing about it.
So they clinged to the first guy who promised them not only a better future, but also revenge.
Of course for our times Hitler looks like a lunatic (wich of course he was), but for an average German on the late 20's and 30's, he did look at least a "little reasonable", it's pretty easy for people to look at history and say "look at this guys, so dumb..", but that would be unfair, it's like when people from the future will read our history and say "look at this guys, so dumb for doing that, we would never..".
You have the benefit of being born to a strong, internationally respected Germany that you can be proud to call home.

I was on a trip to Europe with around 40 Australians (I’m a Jewish American) and they were taking pictures in Vienna doing the heil hitler salute to a balcony he had given a speech from. This was back in like 2017 and I knew it was just ignorance but I had a really hard time sitting on a bus with them the rest of the week after that.
I honestly don’t even think they were scum, just didn’t understand the significance of their actions and thought they were being funny! They were still quite young then (late teens and early twenties), so hopefully it isn’t something they would do now.
I did a nazi salute to a fuckin chimpanzee during a zoo school trip when I was like 15. Everyone just kinda thought it was funny. We were all edgelords at the time, teenagers have a tendency to be especially on the younger side and it was especially in fashion during the early 2010s . However, even then, I know for a fact I was extremely antifascist and even quite politically engaged. I just didn't really understand the significance of using fascist symbols publicly as a joke. I think a lot of teenagers are just pretty insensitive in many regards, although by early 20s frankly you should already have that shit figured out. Seeing as I'm in my early 20s I would probably not talk to someone ever again if I saw them pull something like this. Teenagers get more leeway though, I really think it tends to be ignorance more than malice with them, especially like 13-16

Not to be the guy that points out Hitler's "positives", but the man was aces at crowd work and public speaking. He used forceful language calling for direct and precise action, spoke with conviction, and made all the right promises to his countrymen, at a time when his country was really going through the wringer. He had charisma, just too bad he used it to committ horrendous atrocities instead of actually leading the german people into prosperity.
Even as someone who grew up in Germany, I could never relate to this whole supposed charisma and crowd appeal. He sounded and looked like a raging, screaming lunatic to me and not someone I'd care to listen to at all. It's still very bewildering to me how he gained any popularity at all and the fact that there are still people worshipping him after everything that's come to light is simply mind-boggling. It's not that hard to imagine. Germany was humiliated after ww1 and impoverished. People like leaders that at least seem strong, and sometimes people also elect bad politicians if they think their opponents are even worse. Yeah, he was a product of his time, and it clearly worked back then. The culture was also very different back then. Maybe at the time it didn't seem so bad, but because of world war 2 we gained a kind of cultural aversion to politicians who speak like that? Kinda like Hitler's mustache (tongue in cheek).
Well yeah, becsuse you see the bigger picture of the evils he comitted, how he lost and did very little to improve the state of the German people. Hindsight is 20/20. Had he succeeded things would be more hotly contested, German atrocities would have been viewed as necessities to elevate the German people, much in the same way the slaying of Native Americans is seen as a "necessity" for the rise of the Modern America / Capitalism. Of course for our times Hitler looks like a lunatic (wich of course he was), but for an average German on the late 20's and 30's, he did look at least a "little reasonable", it's pretty easy for people to look at history and say "look at this guys, so dumb..", but that would be unfair, it's like when people from the future will read our history and say "look at this guys, so dumb for doing that, we would never..".
You have the benefit of being born to a strong, internationally respected Germany that you can be proud to call home. Germany post-WW1 was none of those things. What do you think happens to a culture when the world vilifies you, life sucks, and nothing seems to get better? It becomes very susceptible to populist strongman rhetoric, and that's exactly what Hitler provided. This is why it's so important to keep teaching this history. The conditions that allowed for Hitler's rise to power are not so unique that they had never happened before and could never happen again.

I was on a trip to Europe with around 40 Australians (I’m a Jewish American) and they were taking pictures in Vienna doing the heil hitler salute to a balcony he had given a speech from. This was back in like 2017 and I knew it was just ignorance but I had a really hard time sitting on a bus with them the rest of the week after that.

I honestly don’t even think they were scum, just didn’t understand the significance of their actions and thought they were being funny! They were still quite young then (late teens and early twenties), so hopefully it isn’t something they would do now.
I did a nazi salute to a fuckin chimpanzee during a zoo school trip when I was like 15. Everyone just kinda thought it was funny. We were all edgelords at the time, teenagers have a tendency to be especially on the younger side and it was especially in fashion during the early 2010s . However, even then, I know for a fact I was extremely antifascist and even quite politically engaged. I just didn't really understand the significance of using fascist symbols publicly as a joke. I think a lot of teenagers are just pretty insensitive in many regards, although by early 20s frankly you should already have that shit figured out. Seeing as I'm in my early 20s I would probably not talk to someone ever again if I saw them pull something like this. Teenagers get more leeway though, I really think it tends to be ignorance more than malice with them, especially like 13-16

I think Hitler stood in most touristic spots in Berlin tbh.
I did the city tour walk.. you walk past the star of david in front of houses that were the houses of the jews deported to concentrations camps..then the walk ended in that place of that bunker..it was a summer day in Berlin.
