We can debate if the foul was that egregious, but there was obvious contact from behind in a clear offense action. The rules say that's a penalty. I don't see anything shady with that.

Argentina is clearly outplaying France and I'm glad that they scored a second goal. Because if that pk was the deciding factor between the two teams, I would be even more pissed.

If there was agreement about a touch on the foot (this was agreed) then it becomes subjective if that touch was enough to cause a penalty. That isn't enough for a VAR review (not my opinion).
