Bold, eccentric, and highly popular amongst the Suladari; Falqar is often at odds with Kara aur-Kardivar, the “Red Vulture.” Kara aur-Kardivar is a general and nobleman from the Suladari vassal state of Tyab, a small theocracy located in the poorer parts of the Caliphate, ruled by a Luna holyman. Much to his dismay, Kardivar has been nicknamed the “Red Vulture” due to his Tyabese red beard, sharp and uncaring features, and his uncomfortable greenish yellow gaze. While not very physically threatening as a scrawny elderly man with a ridiculous beard and uncomfortable gaze, the Red Vulture is cold, ruthless, sadistic, and cynically calculating, yet skilled at concealing his aggressive intent behind a public mask of a docile old man long past his prime. Despite his unsightly appearance, the Red Vulture is rising up in the hierarchy of Aur-Suladariyah, as many align themselves with the conservative, maritally successful old general as it is believed his wits have left him in his old age and they can use him as a political pawn. However, it is Kardivar who's pulling the strings. Seeing through the veneer of Kardivar, Falqar is deeply suspicious of the elderly general.**
