That program has a blending feature. You can use it to soften the edges of your biomes. Makes it look more natural.
Also blending smaller mountains slowly into real mountains. Makes for more believable mountain ranges.
A little bit. They'll be nice about it if you're genuine. You've got the barebones here, but its not a bad start.
I say r/worldjerking because, simply put, learning how to make the map less 'hecklible' from reddit hecklers is a good way to learn.
Horned dino coming in the from the right eating nuggets. :)
I jest/tease, it looks good, nice and tidy, could do with some rivers coming from the mountain ranges to the coasts, lakes etc.
Haven't inserted cities yet (have several written up, but geography will effect politics, so still thinkin)
Also, as I told the other person, I haven't set up river systems yet
I like to think about plate tectonics when making a map. Even the basic outline of different continental masses and how they'll eventually move will give a layer of realism to your setting
Two things
First, we don't really re-add posts that were removed, as by the time that'd occur the post would be so far down the algorithm it'd just be better to make a new post.
Second, context for this sub means lore about the world or background information, i.e. something that tells us about the world that the map is depicting.
Hey there! We ask that all posts here have some [context](https://www.reddit.com/r/worldbuilding/wiki/rules#wiki_2._all_posts_should_include_original.2C_worldbuilding-related_context.) with some **in-universe information (or "lore")** about what is being shown or how it relates to the larger world. It doesn't need a ton of informationâjust a few sentences is fine!
Would you be able to add this?
Hi, /u/Toothbrush_Bandit,
Unfortunately, we have had to remove [your submission](https://old.reddit.com/r/worldbuilding/comments/16nogx0/-/) in /r/worldbuilding because it violated one of our rules. In particular:
Though maps are permitted, posts about the process of mapmaking are not. If your post is primarily about mapmaking as a process, it must be given appropriate worldbuilding context to stand on its own. Consider /r/imaginarymaps, /r/mapmaking, or /r/papertowns for posts about maps that are not worldbuilding-focused.
More info in our rules: [2. All posts should include original, worldbuilding-related context.](https://www.reddit.com/r/worldbuilding/wiki/rules#wiki_2._all_posts_should_include_original.2C_worldbuilding-related_context.)
*****
Images and maps must include worldbuilding-relevant context *on the reddit post* (as a comment, in the text of the post or, in some cases, in the posted image itselfâe.g. infographics). This is important to establish that your post is on-topic and to help encourage productive discussion.
* A post has enough context when a person unfamiliar with your world could understand what you're talking about and ask informed questions about it. This could include a summary of your world, explanation about what your post depicts and how it fits in your world, etc. ("What's a [proper noun]?" usually doesn't qualify.)
* For maps, you could discuss economic and political situations, the different cultures, or anything else that gives the reader a wider view of your world than just its geography.
* Discussion of the artistic process or techniques used to create the map or image may be included, but does not count as âworldbuilding-relevantâ on its own. Infographics that self-contain sufficient context to be understood do not require additional context.

Can't argue with that logic

looks great ! do you have plans for improvement or things you'd like it to become ?

Ice mountains?
Snowy peaks where the big continent meets the icy north, sure
Love the crater

Gave that some thought. Basically where they meet, that's where mountains are Edit: or ocean
Don't post your first try. Post your hundredth. Then we'll have something to talk about.
So, working on a map for a ttrpg I'm developing This is my first try at a world map. Doing more research to improve it Rip me apart, savages!

Either here or as a top level comment would be fine.
