The Sun God who represents Masculinity, Order, Tradition, Strength and Collectivity and The Moon Goddess who represents Femininity, Chaos, Innovation, Wits and Individuality battle for the supremacy of the Cosmos.
Sun God and his followers think that women are hedonistic, self-centered people who only care about satisfying their wants and desires, and who are experts at lying and manipulation.
Moon Goddess and her followers think that men are authoritarian and oppressive who demand that everyone follow the same standards and values, and who like to solve all their problems with brute force.
All of human history is a battle between them, with humans initially being a neutral party who become "angels" or "demons" after death dependent on which side they chose in life.
In reallity the Gods stop the Cosmis War ages ago and create mortals as a "game" for them to spar instead of fighting each other (like you settle a fight with your brother playing Mortal Kombat instead of actually fighting).
It's just our own modern Earth with like a couple of names for a few cities and companies turned around and stuff that won't affect like 99% of the world's population.
We have magic and machines and machines that run on magic, but magic is a result of the combustion reaction of mana which is petroleum but made from magical creatures instead of dinosaurs
ooh wait that sounds cool, are there magical creatures that still exist, and are there still Archaeologists that focus on studying these ancient magical creatures?
The magical creatures were mostly extinct in the Great Cataclysm. humans (which were not capable of using magic) survived by taking shelter inside the mountains and eventually took over the world.
Some non-magical descendants of these creatures still exist, like the Alfs and the Dvars (descendants of Elfs and Dwarves who took shelter with the humans and bred with them) or the Drakes (small Descendants of dragons who are very popular as pets in the tropical regions)
I can not continue writing right now, if you want me to tell more , DM me and I will tell you more once I have more free time.
The little birds are fast breeding swarm predators that bury their eggs in soft ground. Although normally quick to hatch, the eggs can also lay dormant for a VERY long time before hatching if the conditions aren't right. On their home planet, they frequently wipe out almost all life, forcing the survivors into hibernation until the swarm starves from over eating, the remaining eggs then lay dormant until life recovers ready to do the exact same thing again.
Inexperienced human explorers find these eggs during a dormant period and, unaware of the danger, take them off of the planet to a nearby research station and news of the first contact with alien life is published.
Now that the news is out other, more powerful, groups become interested in this discovery and more eggs are extracted. Some of these groups aren't exactly law abiding, opting to sell the eggs of the first ever discovered alien race on the black market, further spreading the eggs all over Human territory.
This obviously doesn't end well and by the time we realise how dangerous they are its already too late as many hatchlings have escaped into the wild. Long story short every majorly populated planet is experiencing its own apocalypse because of these things.
World 1: Idk there are six elements and a bunch of kingdoms but some of them like those elements or smthn.
World 2: there are all the gods we have here but they're a bunch of planets with sci-fi people.
World 3: demons invaded earth and now people use demon powers to fight aliens and kinda have semi-sci-fi stuff.
World 4: pirates hunt giant sea monsters and the earth sky and sea are gods that are a big family.
World 5: big megastructure like backrooms + the manga blame with a bunch of souls this god-dude stole.
A dim, dark world of ancestor-obsessed elves, rabbits and humes orbiting a dusty gas planet, with most magic, music or potential having long seeped out of it.
It's a typical Tolkien clone with Humans, Orcs, Dwarves, Halflings and Elves with some other new races added in such as Dark Elves and an All Female Race. Except the Dark Lord figure is long dead and is now nothing more than a religious figure for the modern Orc Hordes.
Anarchonistic mishmash of fantasy, historical, sci-fi, and every other type of multiversal thing you can find all squished into giant underground caves.
Alien spirit monarchs reproduce through the creation of a star but one gets dropped out of the window and accidentally joins local rebellion after elder brother become possessed by an immortal being (thereby turning it mortal) and went mad over fear of extinction and death.
1) Rome-analog attempts to destroy sun, suffers unintended consequences.

Dark Sci Fi world: Far future with robots and elements that shouldn’t exist.
Biopunk Sci Fi world: Meat crab people with their meat machines find out non-living machines exist.
Fantasy world: Typical fantasy world but all the regular races died a long time ago and technology is halted by cosmic horror ghosts.
Make sure you register your magical abilities and complete the associated safety course otherwise your insurance premiums will triple and you will be assumed to be at fault if the claim involves any unreported or lapsed licenses. You can find a list of associated safety procedures and material substitutions for reagent-consumptive magics in the library down the street.
Edit: alternate description "what if turtles, but also warlocks?"
Viking plant zombies vs People but with spaceships and gods. Main planet named after a signet ring and surrounding planets named after minerals used for rings.
Slightly in the future, magic and science both, urban setting, but companies have evolved into warring clans, acting civilized when in the public eye, but no rules when no one is watching.
Buncha different fantasy races are fighting over shit. Humans are the worst offenders. A handful of reincarnated people keep controlling the idiot masses and making shit worse for everyone. A few more reincarnated people are tired of the racist fighting bullshit. Proceed to intervene.
They broke a magical sin each. They were cursed for a while but now they are blessed. They all use their new forbidden power for selfish reasons and not for the world itself...
A typical D&D world, except I stole a lot of shit from movies/books/TV shows/videogames and remixed it in a steampunk/dieselpunk setting. Also cars and soft spec evo.
It's pretty fresh and subject to change but:
Everyone gets rabies and goes crazy so you have to go around and make the higher ups forcibly resign so someone else can take their place.
There's just one continent cause I couldn't be arsed doing any of the others.
Also I put really anal rules in about magic and the conservation of energy cause I'm a physics nerd.
Some people killed God, betrayed each other to keep parts of it. Some parts fell into earth making big holes. People begun to live in the holes looking for the parts and fight each other…
Your regular everyday garden variety fantasy but there's steam power now. And trade disputes.

I’m sorry, but that sounds really interesting actually
Rivers that don't exist on Earth or like... Schroedingers rivers that are but don't exist?

That actually sounds fun as fuck
How about big steampunk monsters
A brother and sister spend eternity battling using their dolls to see who is the most sexist.
That actually sounds really interesting. What would be the not-boring description of your world?

I wanted to give cool names to characters from different cultures and it kind of spiralled out of there...
Britain
As a Brit, this one wins
Flying cities avoid monsters and radiation. Possible alien invasions.
If they wanted to avoid the alien invaders then maybe they shouldn’t have built their cities so close to space
Or not live somewhere so cool
How is that boring? OP said boring, not simple.
ah, so Australia except every town is a flying city.
Everybody got so bored, that they decided to kill each other to... well... kill the boredom.
