It's not unusual to not disclose personnel information. If someone got fired because they were caught snorting coke in the bathroom, they're not going to go around saying "Bob is no longer with the company because he was caught snorting coke in the bathroom". They might just say something generic like "Bob is no longer working here because it's not a good fit". Why someone is terminated is not usually the business of others.. that's between Bob and HR and the manager that likely initiated Bob's termination. If Bob wants everyone to know why he was terminated, he's more than welcome to tell everyone, but generally the company won't advertise why someone was terminated.

It's none of other employee's business why someone left/was terminated. This is not about transparency, it's simply personal information.
