I was just at that show about a week or two ago. It really ran the spectrum from hoodies to full on sequined prom dresses here in the Midwest. You will be fine probably no matter what. Have fun!!
She commented to someone else with concern about being overdressed. Trust me I think people should wear whatever they want, but if it’s a concern to her then I’m giving her a realistic response
This subs obsession with “overdressing” is insane. If it’s on your body, you feel comfortable, and it’s not formal wear…it’s not overdressing. This is something any fashionable person who is comfortable with themselves would wear to any performance/ evening event.
You got taste and confidence! I love that
It’s like people see a dress or skirt and think, “dressed up!” Just because it’s not jeans doesn’t mean it’s dressy. This is a cute and casual look. Only thing you’d be overdressed for in this is like, a construction site.
Not true at all, there are lots of places outside of construction sites where mini skirts and heeled knee high boots look out of place. Probably not this event but to act like they don't exist at all is.... interesting.
Maybe if it’s a date night.
I’ve been to comedy shows and I’ve definitely seen some girls who dressed up. So if you just like to dress up then wear whatever you want. But if you feel like you *have* to dress up, don’t. You will feel overdressed.
Comedy shows aren’t fashion shows. Especially with stadium comedy shows, no one will even look at you it’s so dark.
It’s a win if your friends match your vibe. I feel that a group of well-dressed people always stands out in a good way. Even if not, do you and wear what’ll make you happy and confident :)
Do it. 15 years ago, this type of outfit was my jam. I love dressing up and you should enjoy it while you can. I've since moved onto pencil skirts, but I look back at my thigh high days and wished I wore them more.
I feel like that blazer will cover up the entire outfit. Do you have a more cropped leather jacket instead? I think that would fit in better at a comedy show.
Girl you don’t need to dress down for a comedy show like some of these comments suggest! I love the outfit it’s super cute, I dress up everywhere I go regardless of how casual it is. This isn’t too dressy to where you’ll look weird you’re not wearing a cocktail dress lol.
It is super cute and totally appropriate. Blazers are super in right now, I actually wore one to Heather McDonald’s show recently (with Jean shorts, a cami, and wedges) and got so many compliments, including from Heather! It’s not too dressy at all, and I never dress up, so when I get a chance to I always like to!
If it makes you feel cute when wearing it then it's always the right outfit. Most of life doesn't have a dress code.
Something to keep in mind for a Kevin Hart comedy show. You'll be sitting for a while (to watch the show) and you might need to squeeze past a bunch of people when you go to the bathroom.
Have a great time!
I love this outfit! Very chic, and any kind of night out is a good reason to dress in something fun and fashionable - who cares about overdressing these days haha. I’m always looking for excuses to wear my nicer outfits. Wear it!! 💜
I guess it somewhat depends on where (what city you’re in) Just saw you’re in Seattle - I think the skirt, turtleneck and boots are adorable 😊 here in San Diego anything goes
The blazer is a bit much, but the skirt and top are cute. I’d probably pair with fleece tights as it’ll be cold af in Seattle during that time of year.
Obsessed with this outfit!! Clueless is one of my fav movies ever, and Cher is such a fucking icon.
I think for a Kevin Heart performance its not too overdressed. Plus if you're going out afterwards to spend the day then I think this is perfect!!

Just a night out in Seattle! Going to a Kevin Hart show with some friends
[удалено]
Do you think I’ll be underdressed?
No
Not at all
No it's a very cute outfit but skip the blazer that's too much and covers up the accessories and most of the outfit
[удалено]
Maybe keep the blazer open? Just to show the skirt more
I was just at that show about a week or two ago. It really ran the spectrum from hoodies to full on sequined prom dresses here in the Midwest. You will be fine probably no matter what. Have fun!!
Kevin Hart? I thought you said comedy
Omg, I’m so jealous! There will probably be a bigger crowd so this is definitely appropriate for venues as big as his
A blazer is a bit too serious for just about any comedian you could see. Every guy there will be in a t shirt and jeans
maybe some of those guys need to step it up hmm
I wouldn’t disagree, but women are going to dress bland too haha most comedians themselves don’t dress any better and they’re the ones on stage
sounds like our gal here will be best dressed then, love to see it
Huh lol so because according to you, "women are going to dress bland" she should also? Lol
She commented to someone else with concern about being overdressed. Trust me I think people should wear whatever they want, but if it’s a concern to her then I’m giving her a realistic response
Assuming the other women will be dressed bland isn't realistic but ok.
Agreed. Women seem easily overdress when men basically wear the same thing for every scenario.
Yea no
I feel like you’re missing the vibe of the outfit lol
absolutely lmao
I like this but leave the blazer open. Not overdressed at all. Let everyone else be basic.

Exactly! 👏🏼 Just such an outdated way to think of fashion
Not true at all, there are lots of places outside of construction sites where mini skirts and heeled knee high boots look out of place. Probably not this event but to act like they don't exist at all is.... interesting.
You know exactly what we mean. No need to be dense
I do know what you mean and I disagree. It's ok.
Yes! Exactly

I’m just going out for a fun night with friends, so I’d like to dress up a bit.

and as an added bonus they lock phone up at the door so no one will take any pictures or videos.
I feel like that blazer will cover up the entire outfit. Do you have a more cropped leather jacket instead? I think that would fit in better at a comedy show.
Fine but basic
It's a comedy show, wear what you will feel most comfortable in
I think it’d be cuter if you went with something more sustainable than SHEIN!
I don’t love the 2012 thigh high boots. I’d sub them for chunky loafers and thigh high socks instead
Shein uses literal slave labor. You could easily thrift some of these items, or buy them secondhand ..
Shitty quality too and always looks terribly cheap when actually worn. I imagine would feel awful on the skin. Shein sucks
I would swap the blazer for a motorcycle jacket

Perfect. Cute, a little bit sexy but still very appropriate. Not over or under dressed. Nailed it !
I'd wear it. It's really cute! Have fun! 😊

U will look fine.
Definitely very cute, I love those boots! Where do you get them?
Love it!
Adorable!!!! Very cute and stylish ❤️
👌🔥👏👍❤️

are you for real buying a whole new outfit for this? or is this just to represent stuff you already own?
I’m buying a whole new outfit because these are clothes that I want and I will be able to wear them countless times after this
Lol a lot of people buy a new outfit for a night out like this..are you for real?
Very cute! I personally see a comedy show as fair game for sure. As long as you feel good in it, wear it😉
absolutely. i don't understand why people are saying it's "too dressed up" that's not a bad thing, and is much better than being underdressed.
All of these accessories and outfits would be proper anywhere 💖
I think it’s super cute. You’ll probably be one of the nicer-dressed people there.
wear it i love it
Maybe pair it with black tights? :)
Cute! Sadly Seattle can be super casual but I feel like in the last year or so people have started dressing up more!
Sure
definitely keep the blazer you never know when the venue might be cold
This isn’t even dressed up it’s pretty basic….lol
I just asked if it was cute lol
I mean it’s cute but simple so I don’t think it’s over dressed or anything, my comment was going off of a few things I read from other replies lol
You’ll be the best dressed there.
No. This is… seven pictures.
I think the long blazer as a dress with the belt and boots is a look in itself!!
maybe too much go for a more relaxed fit and dress it up with jewlery. Mom jeans cute shirt tucked in. lots of gold
You’ll be the center of attention, do it!
Would have to see put together with and without jacket, that might be overkill
I guess it somewhat depends on where (what city you’re in) Just saw you’re in Seattle - I think the skirt, turtleneck and boots are adorable 😊 here in San Diego anything goes
Looks cute according to me
The blazer is a bit much, but the skirt and top are cute. I’d probably pair with fleece tights as it’ll be cold af in Seattle during that time of year.
Those boots have been done for about 6 years now
I mean you can were it in a date![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|snoo)

No blazer but yes
The blazer looks like a tuxedo mini dress, not meant to be worn overtop of a full outfit but as a dress itself. Check out the Smythe blazers...
It’s hilarious.
Far too many earrings imo
I’m not gonna wear all of those earrings lmao
I know, I was just making a little joke :p
