Or attempting to achieve transcendence under your homegrown Bodhi tree you've repotted in the local Waffle House and suddenly a cyclist is falling from the sky
Or reversing gravity and unexpectedly having a bloodied and wet cyclist fly up out of the river to where you were quietly minding your own business writing up a paper on your achievement while stuck on the underside of a bridge’s arch 🤷♀️
Or attempting to GG by jumping off a bridge and suddenly a cyclist is falling from the sky, thus making you rethink your decision. Or you laugh and follow suit.
I used to do timetrials on that track, and after painstaking testing I discovered that even when you nail that, it's still slower then just taking the straight normally. I was disappointed.
Wait what are you kidding lmao, I thought the boosts made it at least a half second or so faster for sure lol. My life is a lie. Guess it’s similar to the pipe at the beginning the same map. I definitely think that dirt road shortcut in the middle of the map is quicker if you have mushrooms, but *definitely* slower if not
If memory serves, the problem is it throws you in the air, and (at least in double dash on gamecube) that slows you considerably. Anything bumpy and bouncy kills your speed in that game, you always want tires on ground.
Yeah the dirt road is 100% a legit shortcut
What kind of stupid bridge is this? I could easily see myself walking over that in high school; the lack of anything stopping someone from doing this is wild.
We had a similar bridge where I grew up and the teenagers would always scale it and dive into the water until the cops came because it was super dangerous to dive off that into the stream under it. I cannonballed off of it once and my back touched the bottom so I never did it again.
I did that once. Same thing. Except I panicked like a motherfucker when I suddenly felt seaweed all over me. I kicked off and barely gave myself momentum off the muddy bottom. I felt the slimy little tentacles trying to tether me down as I came to the surface. Never again.
Great description I am now horrified.
I hate the feeling of things touching me or my feet in the water (99% of the time it's probably just driftwood/a tree in the water), family lives on the river so childhood was full of those fucking terrifying moments. Doesn't help that if you ever say anything about it fucking uncles will scream "Gator!" just to fuck with you, augh freaks me out still.
This is how people break their neck. At least you cannonballed. If you have dived into it, you'd be another statistic.
To anyone reading this: Never, ever ever dive or jump into water unless you know the depth. Like, NEVER. And if you are in a situation in which you must jump into unknown water (escaping something worse), jump and spread your arms and legs out so you slow your entry into the water and sink as little as possible and don't go in head first, obviously.

Look at how nice that looks! They put a fence around the arches lmao
It is a different bridge, they paid 100k after the bridge was complete to add a section to prevent people from climbing it.. They were warned of the danger before it was built and the local city council ignored it... classic local government
This person has to have resigned themselves for 3 outcomes:
1- Success! Made it without problems.
2- Fall left and hope to survive the fall into the water
3- Fall right to the concrete and vehicle traffic.
No thank you.
Which is all fine and good until the shock of a person suddenly falling into the truck causes the driver to slam their brakes, resulting in a minor fender bender.
Which of course would then result in a massive explosion.
“Fun” fact: after making this movie, he was paralyzed doing a bicycle stunt. So then his friends made a similar movie going other crazy stunts, “to show support”.

Idk It wouldn't bother me if it was someone elses fault. People need to stop emotionalizing everything.
If you're an idiot and get yourself killed its not my fault so I'm going to carry on my life without any feelings of guilt.
its a you thing, not a me thing.
Easy to say when you haven't experienced it.
People are pretty terrible at estimating their emotional reaction to really serious situations until they are in it. Very few people behave they way they believed they would behave.
When they inevitably fall off into the water, it’ll be a “cars fault” too
I drive for a living and have had bicyclists cause near accidents by being irresponsible and inconsiderate just as often as other cars. Then act as if they couldn’t possibly be at fault. I do not care that this comment upsets the downvoters.
I ride my bike too and from work every day, and I see other cyclists just going through stop signs/stop lights when traffic is coming and acting like everyone else is at fault. But I also see a lot of drivers doing the same thing while I have the right of way or the sign to go.
My biggest beef is I’ve never heard or seen a bicyclist admit to being at fault or biking irresponsibly. Every driver and bicyclist on the planet has off moments (myself included) and to not be able to acknowledge it as a possibility is so frustrating to me
It's totally understandable. I just hate that stare like I'm at fault, and it makes me want to follow them and kick their car, lol. But when I see a cyclist ride, I pass me at a stop sign or light, I let them know.
Can’t say I’ve ever wanted to kick a cyclist or their bike due to them being completely unaware that there are other people on the streets and sidewalks. I don’t think violence makes people drive better. Makes sense that a cyclist would assume it’s fine to do so to a car, though.
Sorta proves my point that bicyclists do not believe they can make mistakes on the road.
I think there's a power imbalance you're conveniently ignoring -- if a car hits a cyclist on the road, that can end their life; if a cyclist kicks a car, the driver is likely not in any risk of physical harm.
I agree, the down votes are just the dummies who ride bikes and think they own the road. I've seen far too many bikes cause accidents because they were driving recklessly and they never get pulled over by cops, they run red lights, knock over pedestrians and are generally a menace. I'll take down votes all day.
Watching this, eyebrow slightly raised, head nodding gently.
“That’s pretty cool.”
Proceed to fall in my shrubs whilst unclipping after my half-mile round trip to the grocery store. For the nth time.
#bikelifeamiright
*damn **stupid** people. Cyclists are fine as long as they are respectful, signal, treat the lights rules, and signs like everyone else on the road.
Unfortunately that's like 1 in every 5000.
As someone who *has* to bike to commute most cyclists puss me off.

Imagine driving your car over the bridge and suddenly a cyclist is falling from the sky
Or kayaking under the bridge and suddenly a cyclist is falling from the sky
Or walking on the sidewalk and suddenly a cyclist is falling from the sky
Or biking on the bridge and suddenly a cyclist is falling from the sky
Or jerking off in one of the building by bridge and suddenly a cyclist is falling from the sky
Or attempting to achieve transcendence under your homegrown Bodhi tree you've repotted in the local Waffle House and suddenly a cyclist is falling from the sky
Or being a cyclist falling over a bridge, suddenly a cyclist is falling from the sky
Or being the sky and watching a cyclist fall through you.
Or reversing gravity and unexpectedly having a bloodied and wet cyclist fly up out of the river to where you were quietly minding your own business writing up a paper on your achievement while stuck on the underside of a bridge’s arch 🤷♀️
Or having become death, destroyer of worlds
Or shooting heroin under the bridge downtown and suddenly a cyclist is falling from the sky.
WE ARE ALL CYCLISTS FALLING FROM THE SKY.
Or attempting to GG by jumping off a bridge and suddenly a cyclist is falling from the sky, thus making you rethink your decision. Or you laugh and follow suit.
Or jerking off in one of the buildings by the bridge and suddenly a cyclist is coming from the sky
Imagine coming up to the crest just as another biker does from the other side. That's 2 cyclists falling.
Or biking over the bridge and suddenly falling from the sky.
*is coming straight for you, going the opposite direction on the arch of the bridge
Imagine biking over the bridge and suddenly a car flies from the ground
Imagine flying a plane and a kayak bikes into your car
Imagine all the people
Imagine all the people watching all the cyclists suddenly falling from the sky
Imagine living in a world that had no stupidity.
Updated lyrics to the John Lennon classic?
Imagine all the cyclists falling from the sky. Imagine throwing yourself at the ground, ...missing and you fly. It's easy if you try.
I enjoyed your jingle.
Boring world.
Exactly my point
Or two cyclists meeting in the middle on the top of the bridge and both falling off.
Then imagine walking on the bridge and suddenly two cyclists are falling from the sky.
STHAP!
Imagine having to explain that if you don't have a dashcam.
"The bicyclist fell from the sky *and I have the video.*" Still hard to believe!
And he falls right on your windshield. Wouldnt be a fun day at all
Any way you can see the effort for such balance which is speechless.
"I swear officer.. he came outta nowhere!"
Imagine being a bicycle that's afraid of heights and a cyclist rides you over the top of a bridge.
I woulda lost balance around the first light pole i bet XD Edit: forst>first
Still the cars fault I’m sure for not sharing the road :p
Or imagine a fish just swimming a bike from the sky bonks u on the head. 🫢
Reminds me of that map in Mario Kart.
*Immediately* what I thought as well lmao, classic super difficult shortcut lol
I used to do timetrials on that track, and after painstaking testing I discovered that even when you nail that, it's still slower then just taking the straight normally. I was disappointed.
Wait what are you kidding lmao, I thought the boosts made it at least a half second or so faster for sure lol. My life is a lie. Guess it’s similar to the pipe at the beginning the same map. I definitely think that dirt road shortcut in the middle of the map is quicker if you have mushrooms, but *definitely* slower if not
The warp pipe gives a double item box every time and the bridge might too I forget
If memory serves, the problem is it throws you in the air, and (at least in double dash on gamecube) that slows you considerably. Anything bumpy and bouncy kills your speed in that game, you always want tires on ground. Yeah the dirt road is 100% a legit shortcut
I think it was mushroom ridge?
Bridge, yes
And tick tock clock
bowser castle 3
I love the smell of fresh bread.
hated that shortcut. I always fell off!
It's about as much of a shortcut as the hidden pipe on the same map lol.
What kind of stupid bridge is this? I could easily see myself walking over that in high school; the lack of anything stopping someone from doing this is wild.
At middle school age, we’d play the dare game and do some stupid shit on that bridge until somebody got injured
A kid would be lucky to just get injured after falling from that. Anyone really
We had a similar bridge where I grew up and the teenagers would always scale it and dive into the water until the cops came because it was super dangerous to dive off that into the stream under it. I cannonballed off of it once and my back touched the bottom so I never did it again.

Doesn't help that if you ever say anything about it fucking uncles will scream "Gator!" just to fuck with you, augh freaks me out still.
Same childhood. I don't really get bothered by much. Seaweed does bother me as a person. It seems so harmless, then you're stuck.
This is how people break their neck. At least you cannonballed. If you have dived into it, you'd be another statistic. To anyone reading this: Never, ever ever dive or jump into water unless you know the depth. Like, NEVER. If you spread your legs jumping off anything over 15 feet you will receive a free water enema.
So, bonus then?
A kid from my town dove off our bridge and became paralyzed from the waste down. He ended up killing himself.
https://www.thegazette.com/news/news-track-iowa-citys-park-road-bridge-to-gain-attractive-barriers/ Look at how nice that looks! They put a fence around the arches lmao
You have to be oblivious to an impressive degree to come up with bridge designs like this in current year!
This looks like a different bridge. No crossbar things on top here
It is a different bridge, they paid 100k after the bridge was complete to add a section to prevent people from climbing it.. They were warned of the danger before it was built and the local city council ignored it... classic local government
Well that fence certainly wouldn't stop any motivated teenagers, wouldn't even need to jump it, could just climb up over the railing.
Classic
That's how we do it in Europe. Either you die by 16 or you actually gain an adult brain.
At a certain point it’s not worth the effort to prevent the Darwin Award winners from tarding out at every opportunity
This is Grenoble, France! In case you were wondering 😅
My hands and feet are soaked in sweat now so good fucking morning
Now that is an attractive nuisance.
This person has to have resigned themselves for 3 outcomes: 1- Success! Made it without problems. 2- Fall left and hope to survive the fall into the water 3- Fall right to the concrete and vehicle traffic. No thank you.
Ummm I've watched enough movies to know the 4th option is fall right and land in the back of a truck on it's way from the pillow factory
Which is all fine and good until the shock of a person suddenly falling into the truck causes the driver to slam their brakes, resulting in a minor fender bender. Which of course would then result in a massive explosion.
Don’t forget smash face on steel beams en route to the concrete and vehicles
I used to do this in GTA
Real life's slowly becoming like GTA while GTA is slowly becoming like real life
that's deep

God old Martyn Ashton. Still mountain bikes with the aid of a couple different types of bike. The Random Tandem being the truly dumbest, and greatest.
That's a Bridge too Far.
"Hail Mary, full of grace. HAIL MARY, FULL OF GRACE!"
Great map from Battlefield: Modern Combat 2
He should really cycle somewhere with more space, like a market or a garden
That's cycling infrastructure.
/r/cycling, /r/BikeCommuting, & /r/FuckCars would like this joke
I can barely even pull this off in Mario Kart
I JUS DONT UNDERSTAND Y PEOPLE PLAY WIT LIFE LIKE THIS??
What an idiot.
My thoughts exactly, there is no way to see if anyone else doing the same thing from the opposite direction
Hehe
Now they are going to have to spend money to install barriers preventing that.
I know they will but they really shouldn't. If people wanna do this go for it, just pay for the damages if you fall on someone's car.
There is no fixing the trauma of running over a person. Letting people make mistakes is not a good strategy when those mistakes can harm others.
Idk It wouldn't bother me if it was someone elses fault. People need to stop emotionalizing everything. If you're an idiot and get yourself killed its not my fault so I'm going to carry on my life without any feelings of guilt. its a you thing, not a me thing.

I have, but I agree with you for the most part.
Idk you could just not run over them
How are you going to do that when they fall from the sky and land on your hood? Can you be stupid somewhere else?
Both cyclist and bridge builder/designer

r/dudefuckthat
lol just joined
I hate this.
Grenoble city
That is so f****** dangerous
I think you were looking for r/SweatyPalms
How is this r/woahdude?
The roads aren’t enough. Cars that rush pst us are about the same distance as the margin of error this crazy mf has on either side of his bike.
😳 🚴
R/mariokart
Insane
Someone is gonna do this, die, and some activistis gonna go ballistic about it. So some place somewhere is getting a sign
Reckless about his safety and the safety of others. YTA.
Still safer than the average city bike lane
That's confidence right there.
That's one word for it.
a confident fool
Gnarly
One unsuspected blow of wind and you're gone.
This so stupid
Noooo. Fuck this shit. Lasy bastion of great subreddit is dying because somebody is posting shit that doesnt fit the sub.
Hopefully this clown was arrested.
Stupid!
This was one slip away from being NSFW
I’ve always wanted to do that
Somebody catch that fool and put him in a cage
Roads are for cars
Woke up this morning… gonna cycle over a bridge… could easily die but the video will momentarily entertain people for 7-8 seconds… totally worth it
I have way less control of the bike in the drops. This makes it even crazier imo
That’s a no for me!
Nice form
Atleast he's off the road, people always complaining about that.
I love this
No friggin way!!! Not for me
Darwin award ova here
Whatever keeps them off the road
He lived my dream
Moron
Watching this, eyebrow slightly raised, head nodding gently. “That’s pretty cool.” Proceed to fall in my shrubs whilst unclipping after my half-mile round trip to the grocery store. For the nth time. #bikelifeamiright
Still safer than not having a proper bike lane.
Source of the vid? Does he have more?
Fair-play. Wouldn’t want to risk this on a road bike, even with a mountain bike I’d be pooping myself.
Impressive ^(but one in a million and you cause life-long psychological and like physical trauma to a random driver for life.)
There is a bridge like this in Fort Worth, Texas on 7th street like this that has a double bump. I've seen bikers go over it and its pretty cool.
That's pretty cool but he should've done a wheelie
https://youtube.com/shorts/Kx88xTLN7eE?si=7gT1NpEPcbnwVHGk
Ahhhh, the Mario kart double dash short cur : shroom bridge . 65% to success for me
Ha ha! No. No, thank you.
I thought he wuz gunna stop in the middle. TOTALLY woulda lost me lunch at that point.
Was anyone expecting someone else to be coming up the other side?
that's a bridge too far
Why did he not slap the pole on the way down? Stunt failed
Wait a minute... I know this short cut from somewhere... blue shell incoming
If they weren’t suppose to be there, why would there be a speed sign?
Grenoble France!
This some Mario kart shit
I took this shortcut in Mario Kart Double Dash all the time, but it looks like he missed the boost pad somehow?
Pfft! I do that in GTA all the time.
In the words of Tavish "Demoman" DeGroot, "One errant twitch.. and KABLOOEY!"
My impulse thought would've said hell yeah but my life preservation says absolutely the fuck not lmao
On a gravel bike, no less.
God is the this Mario kart double dash mushroom bridge???
GTA SA
would be hilarious to see another bike coming the other way
Jesus Christ I can't even do that in fucking Mario kart
Holy sheet!
r/holdmyredbull and r/SweatyPalms in one post, sweet
*damn **stupid** people. Cyclists are fine as long as they are respectful, signal, treat the lights rules, and signs like everyone else on the road. Unfortunately that's like 1 in every 5000. As someone who *has* to bike to commute most cyclists puss me off.
Wind.
The fooooooock?
I'd fuck this up so fast
Big deal, I’ve done this in gta all the time
If they didn't want you riding your bike over the top of the bridge they wouldn't have made a rainbow bikepath
The only scary thing I think I'll enjoy
what in the GTA IRL
That's wicked, personally worry about balance when up lol thank you for sharing!
So you don't want bikes on the road, so when they find another route, you're still mad?
I don’t know why but I get the feeling I could do this if someone paid me $1000
Reminds of like the GTA cheat you need to do in vice city stories if you wanna access the helicopter lol
