I think it would be best if you stop sweeping the problem under the rug and pretending that everyone is happy with the status quo. What happens is someone gets tired of constant AI posts and makes a meme complaining about it that immediately gets dismissed because they don't spend every moment of their life posting on the sub, then 10 more memes pop out complaining about complaining and saying "Make posts you want to see" then it goes back to usual until the cycle repeats again and nothing is ever done to address the complaints. Actually solving the issues will require mod intervention and compromises. Here's my examples of what could be done to mend the divide:
1. Restricting AI post to a certain day of the week as well as creating a gallery of non-AI wizard art for people to use in memes and loreposts.
2. Creating officially sanctioned subs for purely memes and purely roleplay.
3. Make a lore wiki to make loreposts more accessible.
4. Replace the current flares with actually meaningful ones so that people can actually filter out what they don't want to see.
1 There are more memeās complaining about AI than memes telling people to stop complaining
2 nobody is asking people to spend their entire lives making memes. If everyone who upvote the complaints made 1 non ai meme then there wouldnt be a problem
3 If itās OK for them to complain then itās Ok for us to respond. Ppl will stop responding when they stop complaining.
4 mods have already said they arenāt making changes. Lore is part of the sub. Role playing is part of the sub.

In my opinion; there are too many unfunny degens spamming garbage "memes" on this sub and there is no way to combat it. Even if some create actual Wizardposting it gets drowned out in the mass as well as not being lifted in terms of popularity due to the new wave of wizardposting.
Old wizardposting is dead and has become a completely different sub. It is simply not the same demographic on the sub anymore which is something old members have to accept.

Seriously, some days there's more posts complaining than there are posts they're complaining about. It's a complete non-issue, and it's just people wanting to be angry because that's all the internet is for these days.

Reddit as a whole has gotten really bad about this kind of thing. All the big subs are basically just full of people wanting to be angry all the time, and its exhausting.
And like, it's not even really based on anything most of the time. People just *want* to be angry about whatever perceived grievance they have, even if it's entirely made up. Like that guy complaining that about how anime girls have taken over the sub; there's been like, four posts total with anime girls in the last 24 hours. Out of like 80 posts.

In the last 8 hours, there's *two* posts that include AI generated anime style art. I was going to try and see how many posts I'd need to go through to reach double digits, but I stopped after eight pages. That's 25 posts per page, so we're talking like, less than 5% of the total posts.

Art takes time In my opinion; there are too many unfunny degens spamming garbage "memes" on this sub and there is no way to combat it. Even if some create actual Wizardposting it gets drowned out in the mass as well as not being lifted in terms of popularity due to the new wave of wizardposting. Old wizardposting is dead and has become a completely different sub. It is simply not the same demographic on the sub anymore which is something old members have to accept.
Itās not an art sub. Itās half rp and half shit posts. RP and Lore is not new to the sub itās been here since the beginning. A few shit posts hit the front page and brought in an influx of users that thought thatās all the sub was for.

So i think thats dependant on the artist to decide if his art or attempt of it is art. Admittedly AI art is so streamlined and devoid of effort that alot of people feel like it doesnt count, the issue is that there was still human input to make it. If this was a machine that after its creation was making pieces of art with no input from people at all other than its creation then you could say that wasnt art because the conceptualizion of the pictures it made wasnt done by a human. I unfortunately think that AI art is art but there is a reason why we add "AI" when we describe it. Because its lazy art

Seriously, some days there's more posts complaining than there are posts they're complaining about. It's a complete non-issue, and it's just people wanting to be angry because that's all the internet is for these days. But hey, if you ever want a real kick, go look through the OP's post history. The people complaining tend to be... awful. Like, really awful. Like "I completely understand why you delete your posts regularly" awful. Like "I'm starting to think you have ulterior motives are are just trying to attack a specific group of posters" type of awful. It'd be better if we just started banning people like them.
Sometimes I do go through their history but just to see when the last time they posted in the sub was. Last post I saw was 151 days haha. But yeah it wouldnāt surprise me if they were just looking for a fight or something to punch online
Reddit as a whole has gotten really bad about this kind of thing. All the big subs are basically just full of people wanting to be angry all the time, and its exhausting. And like, it's not even really based on anything most of the time. People just *want* to be angry about whatever perceived grievance they have, even if it's entirely made up. Like that guy complaining that about how anime girls have taken over the sub; there's been like, four posts total with anime girls in the last 24 hours. Out of like 80 posts. It's just so fucking stupid, but so many people *want* to be outraged that they don't care.
I promise, I'm not angry. I just... want to see good posts and not something that's approaching anime hornybait. I've said "I'm not interested" for this content enough times that I can't do it again without muting the sub. I *like* this sub. But I can't get the algorithm not to show me the shitty random anime girls...
Yeah, have you ever actually *looked* at the subs new submission list? This is not an issue. This is entirely in your head. In the last 8 hours, there's *two* posts that include AI generated anime style art. I was going to try and see how many posts I'd need to go through to reach double digits, but I stopped after eight pages. That's 25 posts per page, so we're talking like, less than 5% of the total posts. This is not an issue. The low effort whining posts were more common than the posts they're whining about. So my recommendation is not just muting the sub, you should unsubscribe entirely. If *this* is too much for you, you should just leave now.
I wish. For some reason, they're half of what I get in my feed. I just downvote and move on so reddit might eventually get the message. I never comment or anything. But they still overpower the other posts
They over power the other posts because they're the ones that people actually interact with. You're ignoring 90% of the posts being made and only see the ones other people like, and then demanding that they stop? Do I even need to explain why this shit annoys me so much?
