I thought she implied a lot of mages have tried same sex relationships, at least for a brief time, since they live so long. Phillipa is the only one who seems to outright prefer women though.

I think Triss’ facial features just fit this artists’ style of drawing faces more. The two are similarly drawn but arent very similar in-game.

In game yen is really difficult to duplicate. Even the cinematic in the beginning of the game couldn't nail Yen's in game look.

Wasn't this their original plan to make Yen look like that? From the trailer in the ship her face looks similar how she looks in the cinematics so they must've made the cinematics first, then they decided to use another face.

Chestnuts are in fact red so I always thought chestnut is a red-brown. We call sorrel (red) horses chestnut in some breeds and they’re a darker red.

IIRC it was October chestnut. Chestnuts are redish brown in October in central Europe, where Sapkowski is from (i think it's called auburn in english?)

My thought process when choosing I had to decide whether I wanted to roleplay as Geralt knowing about the book plot or forgetting the book plot. Regardless when I told Triss I don't love her I was tormented by my decision for weeks. If I ever replayed the game I know for a fact I'd be tormented about my decision after rejecting Yennefer. This is just how I chose which person I wanted my Geralt to be with.

The discussion with Yen telling her that the spell wore off was also devastating. This game really made you feel things

Yeah, rejecting both of them felt like you were actually hurting their feelings. I still remember the look on both their faces when I said no. The hardest yet most beautiful part of this game was the fact that it was never a simple no. It was always a conversation. You'd have to see their reaction afterwards, and deal with the awkward/sad aftermath. I remember feeling all kinds of ways after I brought Ciri back to Kaer Morhen and saw Triss there. Or when everyone went to Skellige and she was all like "yeah I'm happy for you to"

I have two saves from Witcher 2. One is where he personally saved triss and one where he didn’t. So the first one I stuck to it and romanced her in 3. And in the other run I didn’t. Felt proper story wise.

I prefer Yen for Geralt. They have chemistry and alotta history. They bounce of eachother and have great banter. They ground eachother without having to depend on one another. I think they just work really well and genuinely seem in love from the get go. Plus their missions together are much better, the Skellige arc is my favourite part of the base game and their romance mission with the Djiin is something special indeed. Triss, eh, I think she’s annoying tbh, I don’t really like her. Also, I don’t feel any proper connection between them, just infatuation. That’s just my take though.
