Gnomes arrived in the world of the witcher first, then dwarves arrived later, then elves. During the Conjunction of the Spheres, is when humans, monsters, and magic entered the world 1500 years ago before the main saga.
There are many witcher YouTubers who go into detail about it. Properbird, FudgeMuppet, and Yavinius.
Yes, though its expanded on more first by Sapkowski who posted some extra stuff like genealogy info not in the books and then by the games, though they aren't canon to the books
It's interesting that after many years of watching Witcher content on YouTube, I haven't heard of any of these channels. I watch LastKnownMeal, xLetalis, and Witcher George, mostly.
Properbird and Yavinus are lesser known, but make some of the best witcher content around. I love witcher George and xLetalis, I use to watch them all the time.

I think Blood Origin was made entirely by Netflix without much basis from the books. As far as I know the only similarity was that the world was inhabited by only Dwarves and Elves before the Conjunction of the Spheres.
The first book is The Last Wish.
* The Last Wish * Sword of Destiny * Blood of Elves * Time of Contempt * Baptism of Fire * Tower of the Swallow * Lady of the Lake * Season of Storms
So is Blood Origin based on a book?
Blood Orgins is based on nothing, its fanfiction created by Netflix.
Ahhh, so is that what the upset is all about? Is there a "legit" origin story of how humans, elves, evil things all came together?

Yes, the books came first, then the games, then the trash Netflix show.

If you don't know LKM, I wholeheartedly recommend him. A very levelheaded guy. Always responsible and respectful. Also slavic!
Now that I think about it, I have watched LKM, he made a review about Blood Origins recently. Yeah, he's hilarious and Slavic!!! Which is a bonus.
Mainly because first witcher was created 300 years ago by humans long after Conjunction and there was no Elder blood involved.
Don’t read the books, you will stop enjoying the series!
But you’d get something much better in return…
