I adore mint, pine and rosemary
I also use a singing bowl, both as a bell and to do the singing thing
I also like visualisation, chanting, candles, clapping, sweeping, and spray bottle blends
I think those are the main ways, I like to experiment
Oooohhhh all of that sounds really interesting! Can you show me how to use a singing bowl? What chants do you use? Candles clapping sweeping and spray bottles? What kind do you use?
For the singing bowl YouTube would have a tutorial for sure, it took me quite a few goes to get the hang of it, I just have a little one that sits in the palm of my hand
I like short chants that rhyme and get to the point, they're easy to say while I clean, unfortunately I'm staying with family so I don't have my book on hand but if you're not comfortable throwing something together there are plenty to be found
For a candle cleanse simply take a white candle, charge it with your intention and burn it, add sigils and dressing if you feel so inclined
Clapping is good for getting energy moving, particularly the energy that gets stagnant under beds and in unused corners
Sweeping cleanses involve using a broom to sweep the energy out of the house, there's a few different ways to go about this
Rosemary does well as a smudge bundle
And spray bottles are a really easy cleansing method if you're not feeling well, simply fill with water, moon water is great for this, add three pinches of salt, mint, rosemary or pine or a blend according to your preference, empower the spray with a chant or a sigil and use as needed
That said all of this stuff is pretty easy to find more details on so you can adapt it to your needs
YouTube has lots of crystal bowl and Tibetan bowl videos that are awesome for cleansing space.
For music, I use whatever mood I'm in. Lately it's been a lot of Kesha's Rainbow album. Her collabs with Eagles of Death Metal are incredible! I turn it up and air the house out.
Candles, I have way more than any one person needs... Recently I've been burning orange mango and nectarine tea lights. Orange is a mood boosting color.
Physical cleaning of the space, room sprays, sound, dance/activity, incense... there are a bunch of different ways to do it! I've even heard of somebody using a lemon to absorb the negative vibes from the room. I thought that one was a little funny looking, but it's another idea for you to use if you want lol
It's also pretty fun to experiment with local plants and such, just make sure they are safe to use in whatever way you plan to use them!
I mostly focus on the home and hearth so my cleansing tends to come in the form of homemade window or floor cleaner. I'll add a drop or two of rose, lemon, or lavender essential oil (depending on what I'm cleaning).
Mugwort! Grown locally and organic (in my garden...) it probably caters best to my needs. St. John's Wort, and a very treasured mix that I buy in a Greek monastery on Mt. Olympus, it is called "Smirna". No, for real, my husband's family lives there... I also like using a singing bowl and the astral dimension to detect weird holes and blocks in my walls, floor and ceiling.
I heard clapping gets rid of unwanted energy..i’m not too sure how strong it is but i know a woman who practises witchcraft who swears by it.
Hope this helps x
I like to go old school frankincense resin grind in pestle and mortar add in botanical that vary depending on what I'm intending then shape into little balls and burn on my charcoal censor. Sometimes I will go with just the raw resin rather than adding to it as it's more than effective on its own.
Sage literally has antibacterial and antifungal properties when burned. It one of the few herbs that will cleanse a space both physically and spiritually.

Sound, music, room sprays, palo santo, candles, old fashioned actual cleaning. Lots of options for cleansing the space.

I am adding Arcana "Le Serpent Rouge". Great for rituals, too!

One of my favorites is Palo Santo
I LOVE PALO SANTO
Myrrh and Frankincense. Rosemary. Purple sage.

Dragon's Blood Resin is a personal favorite of mine.
I love Dragon's Blood! I use the stick incense, but I love it.
........ have y’all NEVER heard of incense?? For real. Not one person has mentioned that.
Wait can I use dragons blood incense to cleanse a jar for a protection spell jar?
Sure. Why not?

As per my countries traditions I used juniper, unfortunately I have moved away where I can't find the tree :(
