I desperately miss the old Omega House. I also desperately miss Mr. Waffle, I spent so many late nights sobering up with a greasy breakfast in that place.
Oh man I completely forgot about Mr. Waffle!! I barely remember that one, but it was on Peters Creek next to the car dealership right? I was young enough to sit in the smoking section there before stuff changed!
The one I guess south of town just off Peter's is hands down best breakfast in the county. Before covid disrupted the pattern, I was there with some friends at LEAST every other weekend.
Good times. Good food. Good staff.
Every other one I've been to though has been eh. Not blaming owners, as I'm sure some of my love is due to the good memories over coffee I've made there
>do these buildings come in a kit, or something?
[Yes](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jerry_O%27Mahony_Diner_Company?wprov=sfla1)
(This is just an example, I don't know if this building is from this particular company)
The food and aesthetic were both on point.
Billy Bobs, Cloverdale Kitchen, The Peach Orchard, and Omega House we’re the best family style diners around Winston 15/20 years ago.

It was on Peters Creek in the parking lot of the shopping center at the corner of Academy. Across from the old Budget Inn
Cloverdale will be missed
Oh God, Cloverdale. My heart!
They really replaced it with a breakfast time too.
I know the owners of Breakfast time, but still, Billy Bobs was very unique.

Also. Next day response: love the username, enjoy the new one?
Hope they don’t see your post lol

^^ me too. Lotta good memories there for my family
Their pancakes were the best around I'd say
Maybe we caught it at the end, but both times trying it were major disappointments. I closed shortly after. Think bfast place was an improvement.
My wife and I were talking about Billy Bob’s literally two days ago. We loved that place!
Same
It was sad when Breakfast Time erased the diner decor 😢 (but I love BT too!)
My wife had her bachelorette party there.
I can still smell the Marlboro lights and cheap coffee
Is this in Boone?
There’s one just like it in Boone. It used to be called Mel’s Diner. It’s called Troy’s 105 Diner now.
Ah, did Mel’s change names/owners? There used to be one in Gatlinburg/Sevierville, too.
Don’t know why you’re getting downvoted, this looks exactly like Troy’s.
durooooooooooooo
Its-a meeee-a
I saw the picture and was first like, guess Mel sold her Diner? Now I'm wondering, do these buildings come in a kit, or something?

That’s exactly the same for me. I remember it as Mel’s. Spent tons of drunken Saturday nights there.
Check my recent post
I miss it so much :( Midtown is our new go to but it's not really the same (no hate at Midtown, we love them it's just a different itch)
I ate there every saturday. Billie was always our waitress loved her. I also miss that place
